  1. Running list of ways Calamity is destroying my characters:

Epic twins have identical powersets, not different like Impact and MV which means they need to have their powers retconned or else I need them to secretly have both powers which means they're both some of the most overpowered Epics in the game.

    Idea:

Just retcon them into being not genetically identical twins.

  2. As far as the creation of the shards, I agree with what emailanimal said.  The shard each received is tied to the INTENT each vessel had at the moment of the shattering.  I think each knew they would gain some power, but did not explicitly choose a shard.  Rayse was involved because of his hatred of Adonalsium, and ended up with odium.  Others were involved out of their sense of duty, desire for free will, and the shards were created to match the intent of their owners.  This would explain the WoB saying the shattering could have been different if a different group did the shattering.

Then how did a Preservation shard come to fruition, even though what they were doing was the exact opposite of Preserving something?

  3. I'm considering dropping out of Astoria, since I'll have to drop out entirely when I leave on a mission in the summer and I should wean myself out. So if anyone is considering adopting any of the Destructors or any of the miscellaneous Thoughttown Epics, let me know.

I may also have to do this.

Black Jaguar cut in again. "Astoria? Coincidentally, that coincides perfectly with our plans. The Destructors and our new Aussie friends planned to attack the city as well. We came here to petition for supplies and find aid. These pirates should do nicely. There's six of us, we just need some weapon upgrades, criminals for our army, and vehicles. That's all we ask."

Dragoon blinked. That's all you ask. Just a few thousand dollars worth of supplies so you can raid and take some of the winnings of MY target? Yeah, right.

Before he could say anything, Blackwave continued, ignoring the rude Epic. "We can take the river, should be easy enough. Any resistance in particular my crew should be preparing for or is it just the obligatory first step before we can start going on land?"

Dragoon also ignored Black Jaguar, for now. "I can't think of any big river-based threats that you need to watch out for. Just watch the river and the bay, and my men can attack from the land on the south." The Horsemen took a moment to look impressive when he said "my men."

Then, he turned to the Jaguar. "Now, as for you. You want me to give you a few thousand dollars worth of supplies--more, now, since Calamity's arrival--so you can take over part of my target and take some of my spoil? In what universe would I want that? I've got plenty of men, and with Blackwave and his crew, I've got more than enough help to take over the city. So," he stepped closer to the Jaguar and tilted his head. "You want to take part of my spoil? What can you give me in return?"
  5. She can't teleport her self though, don't know if that changes things though.

They're probably just made of energy, so the whole Converter/Star Thief combo works really well. They can be walked through, though the person who walked through one would be burned by them, just like if it was a flame.

Was also going to change the heat production to be tied to how big the spheres are. Like for the small number s only a temperature of 70, but for the huge ones, a temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

I think it would make more sense if the smaller ones were hotter.

  6. That's a tricky questions. EMPs only disable cars that rely on internal circuit boards--older models of cars wouldn't be affected by a CHAMP missile at all.

I don't know whether the military vehicles the City Guard have a computer system that would be destroyed. I think they probably would, but I'm not actually sure.

So, would it just be easier to say no EMP waves hit the area? Otherwise, it's either an automatic loss or an automatic win for the bus. And that's no fun.

  7. I guess I'll have to ask Kobold: did a CHAMP target the bus? If so, would it also kill the police cars? Because BusDriver can just make another bus. The bus crew would just have to survive the transfer from one bus to the next.

  8. Where do they get the gasoline for the vehicles?

Can Arsenal create vehicles with full tanks?

    BusDriver can.

Also, do you guys know where the glass begins shattering on window panes?

At the point of Impact.

The Epics in the bus began to follow Quicksilver's orders. Cause mayhem? BusDriver thought. I can do that.

BusDriver turned to Platoon. "Give me one of your clones," he said. "Let them drive the bus. I have a few tricks up my sleeve."

Platoon nodded, and BusDriver averted his eyes as he created one of his replicas. The process was... disturbing to look at, to say the least. Soon enough, a copy of Platoon was standing beside the driver's seat, ready to switch BusDriver whenever he was ready. The bus turned down a corner and, seeing that there was a nice long stretch of straight road, BusDriver quickly hopped out of the driver's seat to allow Platoon's clone to sit down. That lost us some time, BusDriver thought as he made his way toward the back of the bus. I hope it's worth it.

BusDriver grabbed a couple pieces of scrap metal. "Hey, Shatter," he said, holding one piece of scrap metal out the window. "Use this." He waited for Shatterblast to realize what was going on, then activated the scrap metal immediately. Shatter reached out and was barely able to brush his fingers across the newly-formed party bus, and...

...the entire party bus shattered into a million sharp, tiny pieces, all directed at the City Guard cars behind them.

Holy Calamity I'm glad that worked, BusDriver thought. He activated another piece of metal in his hands--this time with a small timer--and threw it toward the cars. Now, if that doesn't work...

The scrap metal formed into a bus mid-arc, heading straight for the City Guard cars.

    ...then hopefully this will.

  10. A Calamitas gift for Mail.

    Busdiver

Primary power: Phasing, is able to phase through any solid surface, but only if that surface is part of a bus.

Secondary Power: Bus Breath, Busdiver is able to breath in buses instead of oxygen.

    Yay! Happy Calamitas! :D

  11. My mind just decided to combine the words "bus sale" with your member title. So now Timeport is asking Quota if his bus sale topped whatever he did before.

I, um, didn't get much sleep last night.

    "Did I top it, empath?"

Quota looked over the line of blood-covered yellow school buses, arranged in order of size. They were filled with dead bodies, of course--some male, some female, some school children--and Timeport was apparently trying to sell them to unsuspecting passersby.

"Well, I don't know how to say this, Timeport, but I think you've really outdone yourself." Quota chuckled, laying the sarcasm on thickly. "I mean, where did you even get these buses?"

Timeport shrugged his shoulders. "I know a guy. Besides, don't mock me. I bet the people I've killed to fill these buses way outnumber the people you've killed in your lifetime. Just give it a shot."

Quota sighed. "Fine." He turned to a random vanilla on the street and started subtly making her more receptive of his offers. "Hey lady, how much would you like to buy a bus?"
