  1. The question about Hoid came up before I asked about Yolish magic relating to Rosharan magic. I believe that Brandon was referring to how powerful Light weaving can be (there will be lightweavers with lasers in the future) and now that Hoid has both, it's very dangerous.

I also asked the question about godmetals. Here's a rough transcript of the questions I asked and the answers (two are from the spoiler Q&A, one is from the personal signing. I was one of the lucky 150)

Q: We know Rosharan lightweaving is similar to Yolish lightweaving, and we learn in RoW that Stoneshaping may be a gimped version of microkinesis. Are there other surges which are modified versions of Yolish magic?

    A; Yes

QAre there other godmetals that non Mistborn can burn?

    A: Yes

(This was at the personal signing)

Q: I am fascinated by godmetals. Can you tell me something new about godmetals, something that isn't known or isn't widely known?

A: I can tell you this: the existence of godmetals is one reason why metal is so weird in the cosmere.

I'm bad at remembering exact verbiage but this is at least close to what he said. He definitely used the word "weird" in the last one.

  2. I'd like everyone to take a very close look at the Dark Talent--no, *any*--map of the Alcatraz series.

    See it yet?

France. It's not on the map. Turns out France actually doesn't exist.

(People might have noticed this before, idk, but I was laughing hysterically when I saw it.)

  3. Oh, and Voidus, this is the song I thought of for your return. And it also makes a good farewell song, considering it's the Portal credits song. :P

(It's also for those of you who love throwing cake in people's faces. :P)

  4. Thanks for the sentiment guys. I'll miss you too.

Uh there's Gregory, but I have no idea where that plot line is going. I think I mentioned everyone else...

I lost interest because I got super invested in another writing project, and then when I tried to come back to this I just couldn't get into the feeling, you know? Anyway, all my Epics are up for adoption, for anyone who wants them.

Thanks for all the fun, guys. :D You're all awesome.

  5. Guys, I'm sorry, but I have to leave. I just do not have the interest to write in this anymore, and I'm going on my mission in a couple of months anyway.

Which characters need finalization posts? Reader and Timeport can just become NPCs, and BusDriver is on a bus right now (literally and figuratively, pun intended, hahaha) and I'm not sure what to do at all with Mommy right now.

    Any others?

  6. So here's the thing. I am going to be leaving on my 2-year mission soon, which means i will not be able to continue here. So i need to know hoe to get my characters either to a good place (dead, on a bus, etc.) or to good hands.

What do you all suggest for each character?

Almost immediately upon entering the diamond, Timeport died.

He blinked awake in the black realm with Calamity. He didn't say a word; after the first few resurrections, Calamity had basically stopped speaking with him. He wants me to fulfill his mission. I get it. Soon the five minutes were up, and Timeport resurrected about 1 building-height above the ground.

The building that he had been standing on before was rubble far beneath his feet, and there was a person standing next to it. Timeport squinted closer at the person--no longer afraid of his fall, since he could teleport 5 seconds into the future and rob his body of its momentum--and noticed the glint coming off of her arm.

That must be the Diamond Queen... but what is she doing in Portland?

Nearing the ground, Timeport vanished for 5 seconds, then hit the ground with a soft “oomph.” He stood and looked at the Queen. They say she’s invincible, indestructible. Timeport looked down at his hands and grinned. They haven’t met me yet.

Slowly walking toward the Queen, Timeport spoke up. “Your Majesty, what are you doing in this wreck of a city?”

Timeport ignored the burning pain in his broken arm. He focused only on his target, that girl, which was now blocked by a solid column of diamond.

“Good job!” Nighthound shouted to someone, possibly another Epic? I don’t care. Timeport didn’t come this far, didn’t get this bloodied, to just let Neverthere get away.

With a roar of rage, Timeport teleported into the column of diamond.

Sidestep had to pause, had to make sure he heard Mommy right. “You’re kidding. Astoria? Land of Queen Lucentia and her retinue of immortal Epics?”

Mommy’s bright face completely contrasted Sidestep’s confused look. “Yes! Queen Lucentia is here, I saw her! That means she’s not in Astoria anymore! Maybe things went kaput there...”

Sidestep grabbed Mommy’s shoulders, trying to maybe knock some sense into her. “You can’t be seriously thinking about this, right? You’re talking about Astoria. We’d get torn to shreds there, even with the Queen gone.”

Mommy cast a long glance at the children all happily packing behind her. “But she was the one that was so uncaring about the children...”

“And what makes you think that that has changed with Lucentia temporarily gone?” Mommy didn’t respond, though it looked like she might be changing her mind. Phew. “Look, why don’t you think it over for a bit? You can tell the kids to unpack, and I’ll go talk to Zip to see what he wants us to do for today.” Mommy nodded reluctantly and Sidestep, relieved, turned his back to the classroom and walked down to the office. Phew, glad I was able to defuse that bomb. That could have been a disaster.

  9. Who currently controls Frequency and his gang? I had some ideas for them if they're not doing anything.

I like the new rules, and I'll try to put my characters on a bus (figuratively speaking) (except for BusDriver--that's probably literally speaking. :P) before I leave either this summer or next.

Does anyone need my characters to do anything?

  10. Alright. All that really matters is that the vanilla has Accord's authority to make agreements and such; if Accord has to formalize them after the fact, that doesn't matter.

Mostly because it's information that I'm not sure how to convey without breaking the story's flow; the main reason for the different perspective is to tie back to the WHOOC, and make it obvious that it's a snapshot of Eternity's thoughts looking back. I can scrap it; it'll just mean a little more work for me.

Just have it as his thoughts. Thoughts are in first person anyway, right?

  11. Well, actually, he did teleport into a little girl.

Correction: Timport teleported into a little girl's brother. That little girl, he told to "Run" and then she became a viewpoint character, who has only had like 3 viewpoints so far, but still.

  12. Does that mean you're in favour of the idea?

    Ah, of course.:P

I dunno Obliteration would make sense to show up, given how he travels and we know Night's Sorrow is involved but Backbreaker is not much more than a name at this point, so I don't really see an reason to include him, except for a shout-out.

    I didn't say I wasn't.

  13. Yeah but Backbreaker and Nights Sorrow would be fine I think. Also he just sounds amazing. Actually, all three of them might work as Obliteration travels a lot, Nights Sorrow destroyed Oregon and maybe Backbreaker has a grudge on soon-to-be Sorrow.

What are Backbreaker's powers? Or does it not mention them at all?

  14. Well, if you want her to be really destructive, she could make motivators out of Nighthound's corpse to control other Epics.

    (Disclaimer: I'm not serious. :P )

Oh yeah? Name one other character that can specifically turn pebbles into buses with a fuel based timer?

Since when is "not being serious" a deterrent to ideas in this RP? :P

Um... I mean that BusDriver the character isn't a very creative person. :P I, of course, am very much so. B):P

  15. I think Mail may have been going at it from the agnle that if Mary is Night's Sorrow and Night's Sorrow had a major part in the destruction of Oregon that should mean she also has great destructive potential with her powers.

That's exactly what I was going for.

  16. bus-2-xxl_zps05e26eb5.png

BusDriver had no idea what was going on.

One moment, he had been the center of a chase. Then missiles started flying, and his radio connection to Quicksilver cut out. After that, the focus on his bus had vanished as the Epics and other cars stopped trying to, well, stop them.

Mistwraith blew back in through the upper window and condensed in her human form. "They're gone," she said. "The Epics all met on a roof a little ways back and stopped chasing us."

"Well, good then," BusDriver responded. "Whatever Quicksilver did, it's working. Platoon, dissolve your clone. I'm taking back control of this bus." Platoon nodded, and his clone started to dissolve. BusDriver retook his seat at the driving wheel, getting back into the familiar rhythm of driving the sparked bus.

Soon, they were at the gate that lead out. Not many were guarding this gate, probably because of whatever was happening back in the center of the city. The two guards held up their hands, and BusDriver came to a reluctant stop and rolled down the window. "Are you on a sanctioned errand out of the city?" one guard, a skinny female that BusDriver might have thought attractive if he was thirty years younger, asked. The other went into an office off to the side of the gate.

"Sure thing," BusDriver said grumpily. "Regular scrap metal transport."

The girl nodded, and was about to let them through when the other guard came back out of the office. The woman leaned over to him as he whispered in her ear. She raised an eyebrow, and grabbed the pistol at her hip.

Then they were both strangled by solid mist.

BusDriver grumbled as Mistwraith reformed. "I had that," he said as he stepped out of the bus. He reached out and touched the gate, activating it so that they could pass through without having to ram the gate open. The gate morphed into one of those mini school buses, and the bus carrying almost all of Quicksilver's army passed out of the Dalles.

    To Rowena we go.

  17. Yeah. I've thought about that.

"You're gonna charge me for my three-egg omelette? Do you have any idea who I am?"

"I was just giving you a heads-up, mister Timeport. If you're strapping for cash, you can always just head a few streets over and slaughter some vanillas while you wait. You'll be working up an appetite and getting money to pay for your meal at the same time!"

Problem: the cashier is a vanilla. Timeport would kill him first.

On Bloody Mary being Night's Sorrow, I like it, but it doesn't seem like she can cause the type of destruction that is necessary. She can kill a lot, but destroy?Edge?

  18. So: 2018!

That is...quite a large number.

Did we ever get a hard limit on how long Rendings go? I mean otherwise it doesn't really matter if he has some hallucinations of a place that doesn't exsist, he still dies.

I guess we could factor in the negation of death-related trauma as one of the quirks of his power. Like Deathwish not feeling pain when his damage reflection kicks in or Lucentia not flinching when she's shot in the face.

    That works.

  19. To be fair, Timeport is in his Rending, so applying psychology and ordinary behavior to him is kind of meaningless. Are there any other that take their own dead without caring at all?

Well, technically his Rending should have ended last night, so it's more that death for him is just so easy. He doesn't have to revive, he doesn't come in a burst of flame or an explosion, he just goes to a "peaceful" place with Calamity and then he's back in his fully healed body.
