  1. You want to talk about fry sauce, son? Ditch that ketchup/mayo crap and go with sriracha/mayo. I do a squeeze of sriracha for every dollop of mayo but you can add more or less depending on how hot you like it. That is the way to eat fries. Try it and tell me I'm wrong.
  2. I'm going to relate this one to Sazed in recreating the world, and reintroducing color to the landscape. AM I WRONG? I'm probably wrong. Every time I listen to this song I'm reminded of a certain Sanderson written couple...
  3. Yeah don't watch that if you're not into gratuitous boob shots, insane amounts of violence, and characters that only communicate by saying "nyu". Think Chobits if Chi frequently ripped people's heads off with invisible hands. That being said....hate Chobits.
  4. I don't think western indie comics are "better", I love manga, I just think most of the manga I read doesn't resonate with me in the same way western comics do and vice versa, and I don't think that's because one is better than the other it's just a difference in culture. However, nothing makes me laugh like a good comedy manga or anime. Bring on the tsunderes and yanderes. And Kimura-sensei... MY HERO. Yeah it's pretty much my all time favorite. Which is weird because I'm a character driven person but SEL isn't very character driven. Nope. There's little violence and no nudity that I'm aware of. There is a scene involving masturbation, but it doesn't show anything and is creepy and not erotic at all. You could be mistaking it for Elfen Lied which is pretty much all blood and gore and nudity.
  5. Kate Beckinsale is a bit too old to play Vin, dude. Though I can see where you got that because she basically fits the description in Underworld....save being much too mature looking for a character who is supposed to start out as a scrawny, underdeveloped girl in her mid-teens. If Christina Ricci wasn't as old as she is I think she'd make a good Vin...although she can still play characters who are pretty young, as seen in "Penelope". But actually McAvoy is the best choice for Elend I've seen yet in this thread. And for Zane perhaps Ian Somerhalder. Get rid of his trash stash and he looks like the insane son of a corrupted nobleman. I think he could play the part really well, even though I'm not really a fan of Vampire Diaries he's a pretty good actor given the material he's working with. Guys, no more Ellen Page. You're killing me, here. Her voice is annoying. Her acting is annoying. She looks like cherub. Just no.
  6. I basically just imagine Kelsier looking like Aragorn with shorter hair...
  7. I love to cook! I've cooked in a restaurant before, and occasionally would cook things for my family or if I felt like making something nice for myself. But I started cooking a lot in the past three months because I'm dating a guy who can barely microwave something without burning it...haha. And he really, really appreciates my cooking and I like trying out new recipes for him. He and his brother are my future roommates and his brother is even more dismal at cooking (i'm convinced the only thing he can make is macaroni and cheese...) so maybe you all could share some recipes so I (and all of the other amateur chefs here!) have something new to try. You know, when I get tired of eating corndogs and microwave burritos.
  8. I've been playing Monster Hunter for PSP, Spiral Knights on Steam, and I think tonight I'll pick Destroy All Humans back up. I want to eventually play Demon Souls, Dark Souls, Nier, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus (the two-pack just came out a few days ago), Assassin's Creed, Bioshock 2....but all of that will have to wait when Skyrim comes out. Oh god. Oh goddd.
  9. I just started playing, and I've only done a couple of runs against the computer for practice, but my name is the same as it is here.
  10. My friends and I had a night where all we did was drink and play Rummy and listen to covers of the Game of Thrones theme. How did we not find this guy? He is wonderful! *o* As for what I'm listening to: A lot of Anya Marina, Battles, Gogol Bordello, Decemberists, Animal Collective, J-Pop, and anime OSTs.
  11. Favorite anime? Mine are Serial Experiments Lain, NANA, and Nodame Cantabile. But I also like FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Paranoia Agent, Elfen Lied, One Piece, Honey and Clover, Outlaw Star, Minami-Ke, Lucky Star, Gundam Wing, Gundam SEED, Gundam SEED Destiny, Neon Genesis Evangelion, BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad....this list is becoming long so I'll stop. Basically my favorite genres are Sci-Fi and Romance/Slice-of-life. The first anime I ever watched was what everyone usually starts out with: Sailor Moon and DBZ. Then everything on Toonami. Then later I moved on to titles aimed at young girls like DNAngel and Fruits Basket (the anime is fluffy and light, the manga is much more mature). And then I'd say I started watching it all the time. I love Japan for giving us anime. I love the USA for giving us indie comics that are more diverse and engaging than most manga I've read (but in a different way....manga usually lacks subtlety and is heavy on over-exaggerated gestures and scenarios while western independent comics have a lot more subtle humor and character development.)
  12. UFO specials on the History Channel while I study and do some laundry. Guhhh.
  13. Very cool! And very well-done. I like the hood.
