  1. Good stuff all around! On the subject of applying/joining, since @ChullRider hasn't logged on in a while, I'd say that membership is more of if you say you're in, you're in :-) you won't get your name plastered on page one since I can't edit other people's posts, but welcome aboard :-)
  2. Way cool. Personally, I'd also suggest having the option to have it printed monochrome, probably grey, so that you could paint it yourself for those into painting miniatures.
  3. If you'd like :-) I used to write ketek. Almost finished a 121 word beast that (IMO) was really good, but lost the paper I was writing on
  4. 10. Don't kill people at night 11. Don't kindle... wait a sec...
  5. Not an author, but I have quite a few names I use more or less regularly, to the point where there have been times if asked to introduce myself my immediate response was "Caranguejo" rather than my real name (fortunately keep my online names mostly separate from irl)
  6. @RogueWriter any poetry to share? Also, have you ever tried your hand at Ketek?
  7. xkcd - nerd humor Drugs and Wires - dystopian cyberpunk Goth Western - supernatural western Stand Still, Stay Silent - Nordic post apocalypse with magic and monsters Shotgun Shuffle - ... day in the life? Honestly pretty hard to get into, but gets better Ten Earth Shattering Blows - post apocalyptic, pretty new so hasn't gotten far Far Side of Utopia - science fiction, also somewhat hard to get into, complex magic system Scandinavia and the World - lighthearted commentary about Scandinavia... and the rest of the world... Darths & Droids - if Star Wars was a tabletop RPG I've read a few others, but these are the ones I currently follow (which also means none are done yet)
  8. Howl's Moving Castle was based on a book, yes, but Castle in the Sky≠Castle in the Air... Interesting theory, though.
  9. Aw, ok. I just ask, 'cause I've been spending much of today trying to figure out how I'd start a duelling cane club :-P
  10. So... is this now a RP guild? Gonna be honest, was kinda hoping this was for irl marital artists and combat nerds to discuss what techniques you'd use on Scadrial (and in the Cosmere in general) :-P
  11. Honestly, I just want a decent duelling cane. Maybe one made from the thigh of a monstrous Koloss I hunted down, but I'd be happy with a bog-standard wooden one, as long as it's well made
  12. We used to have a koi pond, but no longer (was having problems, so we ended up giving away all the fish) I really want to get a ferret, though I'll have to see how my family responds to that desire...
  13. Normally I prefer to have names retain their original spelling, but in this case I think your parents definitely made the right choice. And that's cool, someone else had the same reaction I did :-P
  14. No, though that was the original reason I left, but ended up having to wait for health reasons, so just kinda hanging out for now
  15. @Eluvianii is that pronounced Eluvi-ani, or Eluv-yani? Also, what's the linguistic origin, if applicable? Either way, reminds me a bit of Eluveitie, which is a band I love... though, even the members pronounce their name differently, so wouldn't help anyway :-P
  16. Wow... that's, the first time I've even considered Hemalurgy working like that I was always under the impression though that hemalurgy just transferred raw ability. Zane practiced his steel to hone it to a razor precision, while Marsh didn't see any particular reason to get much good at emotional Allomamcy... he simply didn't often need to rely on it
  17. So, weird thing about BYUI, clubs aren't really a thing? To be honest, after a year going there I still didn't understand that whole system. Unfortunately, am taking time away for now, otherwise I'd offer to chat about it irl...
  18. Silence is Gryffindor, though with possibly Slytherin methods Sixth of the Dusk is...Hufflepuff? A really depressed Hufflepuff Shai would probably be Slytherin Alcatraz:couldn't make it to Hogwarts, he broke the entrance to the platform
  19. Nah, Lift is totally a Hufflepuff! Right next to the kitchens? Where else could she go!
  20. Up next: Wikipedia Random Article He proposed that victory could be achieved by occupying the enemy's territory rather than destroying his army. Then the murders began. Thereafter St. Martin's lapsed from use for worship and was turned into a barn. It was re-roofed in the 19th century but in 1998 its condition was semi-ruinous. And then the murders began. At the 2006 census, its existence was noted, but its population was not reported. Then the murders began. (Torshishuiyeh. Went from the entire text of a rather boring stub to the beginning of a grand encyclopaedia entry in just four words. edit: I think I may look into branching out into the literary subgenre of Surrealist Encyclopaediac Microhorror as a hobby
