We really do not know the stakes. Brandon is quite adept at hiding the big picture.

and a half baked lie it was!

Cross author reference, A tin foil hat is so Stephen King´s "Black House".

I will be the judge, the jury and the executioner.

It is not exoteric, King of Nowhere, it is science. And that is the point! I find awesome to have a fantasy setting (exoterics galore) based on good old hard physics. Brandon weave a much more compelling tale this way. I remember when I first read this scene, where Kabsal shows Shallan this effect and I first thought that it was just plain cognitive realm affecting the physical one. As I read the audiobook version, I did not have the drawings to relate. Good point Red032, upvoted!

I, too tought about the One Power and Aes Sedai

The idea seems interesting enough. As I recall, Brandon said that the limitations are more important than the power itself. So you may be into something here.

Interesting idea. Do a shardpool "always" work as a gate? Do we have any hints about that?

New kid on the block here. Read Elantris, Mistborn Trilogy and the two first books on Stormlight Archive. Just got my copy of White Sands, which I will start reading tonight. Thanks for the warm welcome. MacVey
