  1. sorry, they threatened those that follow Stick. My phrasing was poor. Also: That is not true. Often, war can have bad results, but it is not inherently bad. Many good things have happened through war, like @The cheeseman said earlier. That is not true at all. Was the defeat of Nazi Germany just so the US could say, look at us, we're big and strong? No, there was much more to it. Again, not true. War is not about just one person or there wouldn't, and couldn't, be a war. war cannot exist without two parties fighting. the greater good is an undefined thing. Hitler thought that what he did was for the greater good. that doesn't mean it was right. While some of the greatest goods have been done under the mantra of "for the greater good" some of the greatest evils have as well.

  8. I haven’t talked about this yet on here. But I am currently on a mission for my church. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later day saints and am about 15 months into a service mission. It’s been really great and I have truly seen miracles and many amazing things. I know this may come as a surprise especially to those who I met at Dragonsteel because I didn’t mention it. But I just didn’t feel comfortable at the time. This post is more about me becoming more comfortable about sharing my beliefs than a life update. So if you’re not interested or don’t really care that’s fine. This is for me. This community has meant so much to me the past several months and has given me the motivations and courage to push my self to do more and be more proactive. You are all great and I know I am going to be here a long time. I hope this doesn’t make anyone feel alienated, that is the last thing I want, but I am who I am. And that is a son of God, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later day Saints, a Missionary of the Lord, and have depression, ADHD, dyslexia, and dysgraphia. I know this is a lot to say for one statues update but I felt that I needed to stope being afraid to have the discussions about my beliefs and my struggles. I have been on meds for years for both my depression and ADHD, and have been in some dark place both before and after I started the meds. I also have had my faith tested many time, but I also have had it reinforced countless times. If anyone has any questions about my faith, my mission, or my disability feel free to ask. And if anyone is struggling with dark thoughts, whether it do to depression or not, please know that I am always willing to talk about it. I have been in the deepest depths of depression before and I will all ways be here if someone need to talk, or even is they just need someone to listen. I hope you all have a great day and cant wait to see what happens next on this amazing sight Your friends and fellow world hopper Evan (aka Silver Phantom)

  9. I am reading Elantris. (Chapter 9. Don't Spoil!) I've heard many times that Elantris is not as good as the rest of Brandon's books. But I like it (although it's probably a little early to judge) I've read Mistborn (including Secret History) and I know about Cosmere. I wonder if that makes me like Elantris more? Or would I enjoy more if I didn't know anything? whatis your opinion? 1) Elantris as the first book of the Cosmere 2) Elantris after Mistborn or other books ... (English is not my first language. Apologies for possible spelling mistakes)

Besides, war is mostly an ego-trip for the leaders anyways, so why do it? We need to be humble and kind. that's all. I'm just asking you don't do this lol. please. The Raven has spoken.

  13. You know, there could be a counterpoint to this theme in RoW, with Raboniel and her daughter. She made a choice that she felt was merciful. It's an antithesis to the decisions of Kaladin and Dalinar in the first three novels. I also feel that Kaladin, Dalinar, and possibly even Navani would seriously struggle with being in Raboniel's position. Navani (who is literally one of the most intelligent people in the Cosmere) didn't even consider what Roboniel did, as a possibility beforehand. She was caught entirely off guard. I could be wrong, but it would be very Brandon-like (to me) to give this example, almost like a ketek, in theme with the first 3 books. And I'm assuming we'll get the culmination of this theme in book 5.

  19. Well, it says something that I'm responding to this rather than working on my 5-page essay due tomorrow. See: getting distracted, failing to do my homework, and putting off a project. Here are my 2 cents to try make me spending time here actually productive, rather than a continuation of getting distracted and putting off my homework projects. I do think it is possible that going onto 17th Shard can genuinely make someone more productive, but only within the framework of other practices. 17th Shard as a fan forum for entertainment, socialization, and with its own writing corner is not something that screams "I will be more productive by going to this website", and usually the opposite. So how do we make it productive? I don't want to take over your thread @Through The Living Glass and dictate a structure, so feel free to ask me to tweak my post so that it better fits the vision of what you hope it can accomplish. First suggestion is to not make this solely a bragging thread for all the productive people to boast about their awesome accomplishments while the procrastinators feel even guiltier by looking at what everyone else is achieving. Perhaps use a format where whenever someone accomplishes something to try to post the next task/milestone/etc. that they want to achieve? Sometimes it may be fine to post updates and not only completion of tasks, like "I finished the rough draft of my essay, now I just need to read over the copyediting notes my family gave me and rewrite it before tomorrow". Don't compare. Everyone has different skills where some tasks are easier than others. I've known someone who was an amazing organizers and could manage a super complicated shift roster but for whatever reason couldn't clean their room. It's fine to post "I cleaned my room, and for me that's a major accomplishment" right next to "I just recarpeted my room and painted the walls". Don't diminish your own accomplishment just because it feels small next to what someone else did, the direction you are moving is the important part. 17th Shard as a social forum can potentially provide some accountability. If you feel like it would help you personally, ask for something like "I have an essay due tomorrow, if you see me posting random YKYASFW memes in an hour, tag me here and call me out please?" or "I need to write 2000 words a day if I want to finish this before summer. Can someone ask me for updates?" That said, people might get busy doing other things like their own projects, so we may have to see how effective asking for accountability actually is. Last bit of advice, is that it is totally fine to take breaks, but I think there's a big difference between taking a break, and avoiding work. Some tasks are just hard mentally, physically, and/or emotionally and can take a lot out of you. Stopping for 15 minutes or so to decompress can help you get back to the main task with more energy. If 17th Shard is a place where that works for you, awesome. However, if that 15 minute break stretches to hours, then it's a problem. Sometimes simply mentally giving myself permission to take a break, setting a timer, and then doing something fun for a while knowing that I will get back to work can be the difference between feeling like a guilty procrastinator and a productive person simply taking a break. Sometimes taking a break from artificial intelligence to write an essay on Realmatic Theory really does help the brain unwind, not really sure why. Guilt is an exhausting motivator, and it's hard to feel accomplishment if it's the primary driver since it often feels more like "finally, it's over" rather than "Yes, I did it!", so for me at least, trying to minimize the guilt of procrastination is a huge step in getting the actual energy to do the stuff that needs to be done. If the task in front of you feels monumentally big and unbearable to look at, then consider the Pomodoro technique of breaking down your task into smaller chunks of time. Other people have explained it better than me, such as here, but if you can't remember Pomodoro, just look up "tomato clock method" And so, today my first accomplishment is that I wrote an unsolicited essay on productivity. What I intend to do next is apply said essay and get myself to write my actual essay on supply chain management productivity due tomorrow night. Feel free to ask me Friday afternoon how it's coming or if I'm done Saturday morning. If you see me posting elsewhere today or tomorrow, feel free to call me out and see if I'm just procrastinating or if I've actually got something done and I'm just taking a break.

  21. Welcome to the Shard. What I usually recommend to people starting the Cosmere is: There are many Reading Order threads, so it should be easy to search up other thoughts on this topic. As far as "Why" some people consider Elantris "not as good," I feel there are two factors and they be referencing either or both of these based on their own personal preference: Elantris was his first published book, and his sixth written novel overall (see below), where as Mistborn: The Final Empire was his 14th novel written, so he had much more "practice" by the time his other books were published. Elantris is far more cerebral (and politics-based) than stories like Mistborn and Stormlight Archive. Some people simply prefer more action in their stories and therefore prefer those stories and enjoy Elantris less due to that Preference. (Above, I note that Warbreaker is a nice median between the two on the politics/action scale) Publication WoB: Finally, I would like to ask if you are reading the 10th Anniversary edition? If not, you may want to search that out, as there were some changes that needed to be made (which is why a new edition was published for the 10th Anniversary) and the ending can be confusing in the original Edition. There are WoBs about the changes, but since those would have spoilers, I did not post them. Once you finish, if you would like more info on the changes, please let us know (or read this post [spoilers] after you finish which also discusses the changes) Hope that helps.

  22. The WoB we have on this is not definitive, but does have some implications: While Brandon does say they can "go places," he does not say why. Based on the way he says "escape the Expanse of Densities" implies three primary differences, with either or both possibly being the reason they can "go places." It is unclear if any of these factor, or (possibly) all three together are what allows them to move about. Radiant Spren are of two shards, Honor and Cultivation, only one of which is splintered - while Seons are Devotioin only (and Skaze Dominion) which is Splintered Because the base Investiture is different (Devotion) it could be the nature of their bond to "Follow their bonded mortal" - which is an aspect that Honor and Cultivation's Intent would not share Seon's are wholly in the Physical Realm because of how Odium squished the remnants of Devotion and Dominion into the Cognitive - whereas Spren are mostly into the Cognitive, and the Bond pulls them slightly into the Physical (with increased Oaths pulling them more firmly into the Physical) Which implies that if you can get a Seon through a Perpendicularity (protected from the Dor Plasma) and escape the Sel Shadesmar, then they can Worldhop because they are not split between two realms at once (it's closer to how a person Worldhops). (this is my bet as most likely, if only one reason applies) TLDR: We don't really know, but there are some valid lines for theorizing on which, if any, known differences allow Seons to do what they do.

  24. Fate This can be a contradictory topic. If there is such a thing as fate, then why do we do what we do? We can just say "fate happend." There are two arguments to this battle: 1. Fate exists, and everything is predestined. If fate does exist, then what's the point, we can argue that there's no point in trying, because no matter what everything will turn out fine. There's no incentive, no "competitive pay," per se. Whether or not you try you will end up in the same place as you were destined to go. 2. Fate is not real, and we all are failures. If fate isn't real, then that means that we have reason to live, but there's also no end guerentee. We can try all we want, but since our lives are totally in our hands, we cannot be totally 100% sure that we will make it. Even with fate you can be sure you're going to make it to wherever you're trying to end up, you just have to hope that any work you put in paid off. All of this "end," of course, being in this life or the next (if there is an afterlife). Many Thinkers do not believe in fate, that we have control of our own destiny. I think there is no fate. No guerentee on anything in life. Everything is a chance, and you need to take that leap of faith. I have always loved people who try and be life-freeing motivators, because they know they have it right. Life is meant to be free. You need to leave the grind if you want to enjoy it. There are no guarantees in life. Never. You need to work to be able to get anything or anywhere in life, because I think that only you can make sure that you will get anywhere in life. 29. So if im understanding you correctly you are saying that the contradiction does exist, but Harmony exists that way anyways, which is why hes having such a bad time? I think that just made it click. He should not work this way but he does and that is the issue. I think we are in agreement that if preservation and ruin were properly joined that the resulting god metal would not produce lerasium and atium in a trellium reaction, would not be inherently unstable, there would not be two mists and Harmony would have a pure tone. My disconnect was that I assumed this Harmony situation was an issue specifically because of the opposing Intents, and while it partially is, its really Sazed's failure to combine them properly that has caused the contradiction. As in, this is not the way that a shard combination is supposed to go. Before this I was under the assumption that this was standard as most of the Intents will conflict with each other and cause similar issues.

  30. Huzzah! Glad that my distractibility was helpful this time! As a fellow procrastinator with terrible focus, I'm similarly a work-in-progress trying to get better at self-management. If other people have cool strategies that have worked for them, I certainly won't turn them down. My follow up report is that I rewrote my 5 page essay and I'm on my second draft. I'll be handing it to my family to read and make comments before I do last tweaks and submit it tomorrow. I can't promise that I'll always be around on this thread for accountability, but I might pop in every so often. 17th Shard definitely is a big time sink for me, and I'm trying to be mindful of how I manage myself.

  31. I had heard the same things as you about Elantris, and for that reason I put off reading it for a long time. Boy was that a mistake. I got around to reading it recently and I liked it a lot more than I liked any of the books in MB Era 2. I still loved MB Era 2 but Elantris was great for me for a couple reasons: -The intrigue. There are a lot of questions that you ask very early in the book and you get answers to pretty much all of them by the end. In fact 9/10 of these answers are subtly written into the story before they are explicitly stated. -Unpredictably predictable. Going through the story, you have a pretty good idea of where the end of the book is going to end up. But HOW you get there has some curveballs. Which leads to a simultaneous "I KNEW IT" and "OHHHHHHH Why didnt i see that before" moment which is really fun. -The characters. For the most part their decisions and motivations seem genuine / not contrived and I relate to a lot of them personally (even some of the bad guys). This is something I was missing from MB Era 2. The bad guys there felt way more objectively evil than the bad guys in Elantris. -The magic. AonDor is just really really cool and a story that slightly revolves around AonDor is very interesting. -The Sanderstorm. I wont get too much into this but the ending is really good in my opinion. The crescendo builds slowly but surely and the payoff is huge. There were at least 5 moments while reading Elantris that I was blown away by the skill Brandon shows in pulling the pieces of this story together. Again, I love MB Era 2, but I didn't feel that way for Era 2.

  32. Whats the point of life? I mean lets be honest: We work every week through school just to waiting for the weekend. That goes by before we even realize We work through weeks and months just waiting for summer break. That goes by before we even realize We work for years of school just waiting for graduation. From those 12 years of school just to get a useless paper. We go back to school after that for even more years, just working for one again another piece of paper. Then we're supposed to get hired at a 9-5 desk job until we work ourselves into retirement, but by that time we are too old to enjoy life. The point of this, everyone, is don't be so worried about what's going on in your life, whether it be school, or work, or trying to find the love of your life. Just take a step back from everything and enjoy life where you are. I have a quote I'd like to share with you. It impacted me heavily and made me think about this. It says this: "Life moves pretty fast. If you dont stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." -Ferris Bueller, Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

  33. I dunno, Marsh just sounded so sure... TLM Chapter 28 Like, this doesn't sound like someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. Marsh sounds really sure and really relieved. As for Harmony keeping stuff secret, he's been explicitly lying to Kelsier about making Lerasium. He probably trusts Marsh more then Kel, since if Kel had access to all this knowledge, he'd become an even bigger wildcard for the Cosmere than he already is, could you imagine if the Ghostbloods on Roshar has access to Lerasium and Atium? Not very Harmonious. Marsh though, is pratically Harmony's hands, for when Harmony needs important stuff done. He has been for centuries. Heck in BOM he let slip about advanced technology to the Kandra, what makes you think he hasn't let slip about Hemlaurgy to Marsh? Especially if it's meant to help him save the world. Sounds plausible. Heck you might be able to make this easier by just taking one spike and splitting it up into 4-5, maybe even more depending on if drained spikes still stick to that same limit. Stick 5 Pathian earrings into someone then control them. Compounders can indeed be game-breaking, there's no getting around that, C-Steel alone is ridiculous. But as shown with Miles, they aren't unbeatable just tough to bring down. Plus not every type of Compounder is going to be OP, C-Cadmium for instance. As for the second part, I wasn't really thinking of societal. Since this is probably the kind of thing anyone would prefer to keep to themselves for the advantage. But if it did, you'd need to remember that Metalborn are still rare, and in the Terris Village there was only one Steelrunner who Bleeder killed. So if someone wanted to do this they'd need to find and kidnap a Misting and Ferring who match metals, then go through a difficult cumbersome process to forcibly blank their Identity so that the Spikes become Unkeyed, preventing identity contamination. If it became public knowledge, then most Metalborn would probably just hide their powers if it ever became a trend to hunt metalborn. Overall what you prescribe would need Hemalurgy to become public knowledge, which sounds like a whole other can of worms, the idea of gaining 1/16 of the power the Lord Ruler had would just be putting chum in the waters.

  34. The defeat of Nazi Germany, the American Civil War brought an end to slavery in the US, the stemming of Ottoman power encroaching into Europe in the Ottoman-Habsburg Wars let Western Europe survive. War is, by nature, destructive. However, there is, at times, good that comes from the waging of it. Evil things (I am not saying that hair colors other than ginger are evil. I am reffering to true evils) ought to be destroyed, and if war is the only way to do that, war must then be waged.

  35. Possible but that might be too weak. Harmonium is attuned to the rhythm of Harmony (most likely, but Rhythm is not a pure tone), but it's a solid matter, it's much harder to influence. Raysium was unfazed by the anti-tone of Odium. Trellium is what pushes axi of Harmonium apart, it's splits them like during a nuclear fission - there is no annihilation here, there is no anti-investiture, it's because axi (atoms) of Harmonium are split in half due to the force Trellium exerts on it, which releases tremendous amount of energy. The same mechanism as in nuclear fission that powers our nuclear reactors or bombs. Singing tones might be too weak to generate force sufficient enough to split axi of physical, solid Harmonium. Harmonium is NOT made out of Atium and Lerasium, it's not an alloy, Harmonium meshes Ruin and Preservation's investiture together "in harmony," but those don't fit well together, which creates a chemically unstable element. Harmonium is still its own, new god metal, it's a single element. Just like Harmony IS a full Shard, which at the same time is two Shards combined. I do agree with Treamayne, Sazed didn't combine both Shards well, he keeps them separate, but working together, which creates all his problems. However Harmony is still a full Shard. If Sazed were to drop Harmony, he would drop only one Shard, not Ruin and Preservation. He is Harmony and Ruin and Preservation make him up. There is no Atium or Lerasium in Harmonium, Harmonium is one element, it's not an alloy, it's not a compound, it's one Axion. Nothing destroys each other, water is just reacting with axi of Harmonium, like water reacts with cesium. It’s a purely chemical reaction, there is no anti-investiture here, no annihilation, Ruin’s investiture isn’t anti-investiture to Preservation’s investiture. It is. Just like metals in our universe have different properties, can be reactive, corrosive or radioactive, the same applies to Cosmere, god metals can take many forms, But as by the WoB above, the reactive nature of Harmonium is because of two polar opposite investitures not meshing well together. The physical properties of Harmonium reflect its spiritual nature. What I think is happening is that during Harmonium-Trellium reaction Trellium pushes on both investitures of Ruin and Preservation and separates them apart, forcing them into a pure, singular state, which manifests as pure god metal of one Shard. This goes back to Sazed interpretation of Harmony - both Shards work together, but are still separate. If he were to fully combine them, I think there would be only one investiture present, no meshing or separation, just one investiture. Just like it's possible to split Honor into two smaller Shards, but Honor is not made out of two smaller Shards, Honor is just Honor, one Shard, one force, the smallest division that currently exists. Harmony is not like that, he's two Shards merged in one Shard, but they are still separate. Going back to your first post: Nope. Because Harmony is keeping both Shards separate in him, he can chose to send only half of him out in the word as Mists. But as you've noticed, there are two kind of Mists now, Ruin's Mists and Preservation's Mists - this wasn't happening before, sure there was Ruin's Mists at the Well, but not on the scale of Preservation's Mists. Harmony is sending them both because he has to in order to keep both Shards balanced. He probably could have combine them together as Harmony's mists, but chose not to. Yes, Mists react to the tones of their Shards. We've seen Mists swirl around Allomancers just like in Era 1 (Allomantic pulses are related to pure tone of Preservation), but they are not repulsed by Hemalurgists anymore. Well, they used to not be repulsed, in TLM they were pushed back by Wax's spike in ch 69. This was probably because of Discord. I think that's possible but this might be very hard to do with solid investiture, as I've talked about at the beginning. It won't be as easy as just singing the pure tones to separate them. You might be forced to start with singing a harmonized version and then breaking the harmony into pure tones of Ruin and Preservation - that might work on gaseous form of investiture, but I doubt it would work as easily on solids. Agreed. As long as Sazed is holding two separate Shards in one Shard, he will struggle. He needs to be one Shard, he needs to merge them more than they are right now. Ruin and Preservation need to be gone.

  36. Whole-heartedly agree, if you read the linked thread (or any of the many other Reading order threads - link has links to many other similar threads), you may notice that I prefer to not actually recommend a reading order to family, friends, and coworkers - I prefer to give them the information on which stories have spoilers or can be spoiled by other stories so they can make informed decisions on what appeals to them (and how many, if any, spoilers they are willing to tolerate). I actually put together my own Cosmere Intro epub - with a list of all of the stories, a short blurb on Shardworlds to help a reader choose where to start, and Brandon's Essays on his "Laws of Magic" which I send to people who ask where to begin (if they have a way to read eBooks and want it, of course). English is my first language, and I still have many spelling errors, don't worry about it and feel free to ask clarification if needed. May I ask what your native language is?

  38. What is Conciousness? In my last post, I talked about how conciousness (maybe) helped shape the universe, but what actually is it? I mean lets be real. We have ZERO reason to be conscious beings. Our brain is a 3 pound organ of mush, made up of nerves floating in fluid. Even scientists don't know what or why we have consciousness. We are born with this incredible ability to think, to comprehend, to imagine, but we have no idea why. This isn't as good as a question, and I cant go on it too much just because I don't know, either. So I ask you, think about it, or comment about what you think thinking and consciousness really is.

  39. Is anything real? Another question or thought really that I've had in the last few months is what is reality? Reality is what we perceive, but what is that? Humans' brains are so broken, someone with schizophrenia or that just got hit really hard can literally physically see and hear things that are not there. We have no proof of anything in our reality. For all I know personally, I am a forty-two year old man in an insane asylum, and everything I've learned and every relationship I've experienced here is fake and all in my head. This is a bit of a stretch, but what if when we die we wake up in a praservative tank in 2600 and pull hyper-real VR goggles off of our eyes, and everything was fake. Science used to say that two things made our universe: Time and Space. But recently another thought has been brought into the light: what if it was Space, Time, and Conciousness? You see, dear reader, not only would this support many religious beliefs about the creation of the universe from a god or gods, but science supports it too. I have two experiments I would like to show you for proof and support of this: The first is Schrodinger's Cat experiment. Many of you have heard of it, but in short it shows how until observed, an outcome can have both outcomes happening. This is called Quantom Superposition. It says that, until oberved, say a coin flip when it lands is both heads and tails, at once. The second experiment is called the Double Slit Experiment. It essentially showed that when particalls were launched at a wall, with two slits. I wont go into the details, you dear reader can research it on your own. Basically it too says that particles physically change when oberved. Reality is not real, at least it cant be proven to be real. Everything we are doing could all be a huge lie. I have a quote I'd like to share with you. "Perception is not reality, it is just our tiny experience of reality, which is something very limited and flawed. Only Truth is reality, and unless we are willing to question everything that we think we know, we will never see anything but illusions and lies." -Gavin Nascimento

  41. I believe I inferred it from this passage. ROW CH 76 I see what you mean about Towerlight and therefore Warlight not being a pure tone because it is two tones. It isn't just the tones of the two shards though, and this has me wondering if someone took up Cultivation and Honor in the same manner Sazed did, would they produce a the Towerlight godmetal equivalent to Harmonium? Seems Harmonium is not a new god metal at all technically (spiritually?) - its a spiritual meshing of Lerasium and Atium and that spiritual meshing creates physical changes. Doesn't this also mean that you could extract Lerasium and Atium from Harmonium using the electrical current Wax shows and the pure tones of Preservation and Ruin? Why do the Lerasium and Atium in Harmonium annihilate each other in such a violent reaction when Navani's experiments show Stormlight and Voidlight not blowing up on contact? It required the anti-tone for that. This must be a spiritual intertwining in a similar manner as Harmony right? Is this implying there is something anti-tone related happening to Harmony? That doesn't seem right. We haven't seen Harmony's perpendicularity, doesn't this mean that it would be as violent as Harmonium? I think im missing details this is not adding up for me.

  45. Investiture resists Investiture, since the Unmade are relatively 'equal' I'd say no she couldn't. She can only 'enlighten' Radiant Spren with their permission. For 'un-corrupting' I doubt it, it seems like a permanent transformation. After all, turning someone into a Steel Inquisitor or a Koloss is effectively permanent, and Enlightening could have some correlations to that, sort of. As for corrupting an entire Shard? No, absolutely not. She is still just a Splinter, Odium could probably kill her with barely any effort, he just doesn't because she's too useful.

  47. Assuming BoTF means Battle of Thaylen Field - I'm not sure what you mean here. He struck down a Thunderclast, killed some Thrill Controlled Alethis soldiers and, when Dalinar opened the perpendicularity, we was only washed in the initial outpour (that, like the Dor with Raoden's first Aon, was over-pressuruzed by build-up and quickly faded) which was enough to Sate him and stop his feeding on Szeth and Lift. He was never in the perpendicularity, and was not even close enough to collapse it once it stabalized (like he did Ishar's in RoW). But, it does not matter where his physical shell was located, much like Dalinar and his visions, his Cognitive Identity was in a Demense (part CR, part SR - but not in Shadesmar) which also had an altered flow of time (all of the Rayse/Taravangian interaction happens in seconds to Szeth - like the Demense Kaladin entered to meet Tien at the end of RoW - with a different temporal perception due to SR influence). His Command, Sapience and activity were all compressed in that altered state, and he didn't even feed on Taravangian (black smoke from the blade, but no feeding on the wielder and no black veins on his arms). Why would his physcial shell do anything when he was leaking in the Demense, not the house? RoW Ch 113
