My guys I HATE Multiplying fractions. Anyhow, I am now a mistborn, you may clap now if you so desire. Just feeling a little... a little tense. Math is just... geh. I binge reread books 2-4 of PJO on Monday and started book five at like 10 something o-clock. I finished it today. (PJO=Percy Jackson and the Olympians (spoilers for book four of PJO) The soundtrack for Dark Phoenix is just sweet. The Score's (a cool band) songs push me through the day. So much awesome songs... Sorry if I seem all over the place.

I made some champurrado and it is soooo good! In case you don’t know what champurrado is, it is a Mexican cinnamony thick hot chocolate. Basically chocolate atole. I love it!!! It just makes me so happy! … Until I remember all the stressful stuff, but that is future me’s problem

We just got back to school (I'm in high school) and... I am not happy. I was told by a teacher that this is a prime time in our lives! We don't have to worry about rent or food or other irritating bothers... but then school takes up most of our time and makes it VERY HARD to spend more waking hours in school than with our families. What if we only went to school one week out of every two? The teachers could condense all the homework time and wasted moments to teach two lessons' worth. But no. Instead, everybody thinks this formula should be reality (and it mostly is nowadays): School=1/2 childhood waking hours What a societal mistake. (If you wanna read more rants on this subject, I will enclose a document as soon as I can for your perusal. Make sure to cite your sources!)

I'm willing to bet the Set may have been involved even earlier than this, but we get a couple of hints as to the timeframes for when Edwarn and Miles first got involved. Here's Miles from AoL chapter 17 (which takes place in Scadrian year 341): Can't say for certain that he fell under Trell's influence at the same time, but supposing he did that would put it in 331. That's around the same time that Edwarn went into hermit mode for a decade. Here's Wax confronting Mr. Suit in the AoL Epilogue: That faked death occurred in 340, so going back a decade gives us the Scadrian year 330. So that's 10-11 Scadrian years ago. Converting between Scadrian's Earth-like days and years to Roshar's 20-hour days and 500-day years, that would be between around 8.7 and 9.6 Rosharan years. I believe that Brandon has said that all of MB Era 2 takes place in the 10-15 year time gap between the front and back half of SA. Assuming that the contest of champions (which is slated to occur around mid 1175 on Roshar) is roughly the end of the front half, then Miles began to plan the train robbery and Edwarn went hermitlike around late 1165 to late 1166 on Roshar. That's somewhat intriguing because a number of big things happen on Roshar around that same timeframe: Shallan starting to bond Testment, Szeth being named Truthless, first contact between the listeners and the Alethi, and Axindweth giving Ulim to Venli.

Maybe Harmony wants Wax to spike himself with Harmonium and Trellium so that he can have a conference with Wax and Trell.

Honorspren are direct children of Stormfather, so the bond with Honorspren have a more direct Connection to Stormfather than other spren. Beyond that, acceptance and any oversight of that acceptance should be different from spren to spren and what the bondmate experiences with that acceptance should be different, as well.

Against the grain, but I do want to see Adolin become a Radiant. I don't think there needs to be a normal guy, this is the people becoming Knights Radiant series, becoming a Radiant is tied to tons of catharsis in characters' journeys and growth, and that's what I want to see. Other than the Kholins, though, I like the idea of more middle-aged people being chosen by spren. I would enjoy Kaladin's mom being chosen.

Thanks for being so willing to re-work this! We really appreciate it. Obviously we have some questions about the strength of each merit in a more specific capacity. To have telephathy, pyromancy and organic manipulation as minor merits, they would be relatively minor in capacity. Here is what I would consider a minor merit version of each, for a hypothetical: Telepathy: A sense of heightened empathy, skill reading another person’s emotions, something akin to tapping a low level of Connection. Pyromancy: Snuffing/lighting candles, evading fire when it’s brandished at you, minor fireproofing of a limb or piece of clothing like a cloak. Organic augmentation: Healing a minor wound or burn, regrowing hair/nails, possible augmentation of senses if the other options for this were not taken (basically using this ability like A-tin) It should be obvious to you that long range head exploding is a very high level major merit so I want to make sure I understand it. I would count this as an OP powerset but that’s just me, and it doesn’t mean your character is rejected. But I do think that perhaps this specific power should come with either a set lead-up time or a very high personal cost so people can have the ability to run away or so your character can weigh pros and cons with each use. That way people won’t be too hesitant to interact with you (there is a reason people aren’t lining up to RP with IC Mac or Voidus, they can kill you so fast it’s a big risk). Thoughts?

We have seen (former captain) Demoux from the first Mistborn trilogy on Roshar in the Purelake Interlude in WoK, and he is a Misting. There was never any indication that Metalborn are limited in their movement across cosmere in any way. There were also at least 3 Seons on Roshar in RoW - Shallan, Mraize and Hoid all had one apiece. It is currently unclear why the method used to move Seons around can't be applied to spren, Heralds, Fused or Kelsier.

Fair enough, I'll change the character. Fortunately, I did some sleep-deprived thinking and realized that I can change Mr. Poot into an Epic with basically no significant re-writes needed. In fact, it actually works a bit better this way. This made me chuckle a little bit, not going to lie. Anyway, here's the new character!

It would look great if you could get a couple of LED lights around the inside of the collar and the cuffs (or anywhere else that enhances the effect), to glow the right color. Extra points if you can hook them up to something that would modulate the light a little bit, to make the glow effect more organic and less steady.

Also, despite Reddit having already decided it's the only possible answer, I very much do Not think that Zellion = El, because it makes no sense for both Doylist and Watsonian reasons. That would make sense, at least from the upcoming arc and the prominent Z in the name which doesnt fit most other Rosharan cultures that I can think of offhand. I turned twenty recently but I still feel seventeen. But on rare occasion I will have an odd moment where I do something responsible or wise, and then I weep for my lost youth.

Okay so this just crossed my mind and I'd like a second opinion. Lift has a unique ability to touch Spren in the physical realm. Can she control this? Because she walks into the cloud made by the Thrill to give Dalinar the perfect gem. If that cloud is the physical form of the Thrill, wouldn't she bump into it as opposed to pass through it? Or does her unique powers let her walk into it but be unaffected? Just curious, maybe a WoB exists for this already?
