  3. Alright, I didn't have time to do much for today's, but I think it's still cute. Upon thinking of "salty/thrill," my mind immediately went to the ocean. So that's what I drew. And then I decided a wave was too boring so I added a cute lil sailboat cuz sailboat aesthetics are *chefskiss* So enjoy Salty/Thrill also I feel lonely in here so please reply even if it's not even about my art

  7. I'm willing to bet the Set may have been involved even earlier than this, but we get a couple of hints as to the timeframes for when Edwarn and Miles first got involved. Here's Miles from AoL chapter 17 (which takes place in Scadrian year 341): Can't say for certain that he fell under Trell's influence at the same time, but supposing he did that would put it in 331. That's around the same time that Edwarn went into hermit mode for a decade. Here's Wax confronting Mr. Suit in the AoL Epilogue: That faked death occurred in 340, so going back a decade gives us the Scadrian year 330. So that's 10-11 Scadrian years ago. Converting between Scadrian's Earth-like days and years to Roshar's 20-hour days and 500-day years, that would be between around 8.7 and 9.6 Rosharan years. I believe that Brandon has said that all of MB Era 2 takes place in the 10-15 year time gap between the front and back half of SA. Assuming that the contest of champions (which is slated to occur around mid 1175 on Roshar) is roughly the end of the front half, then Miles began to plan the train robbery and Edwarn went hermitlike around late 1165 to late 1166 on Roshar. That's somewhat intriguing because a number of big things happen on Roshar around that same timeframe: Shallan starting to bond Testment, Szeth being named Truthless, first contact between the listeners and the Alethi, and Axindweth giving Ulim to Venli.

  12. Honorspren are direct children of Stormfather, so the bond with Honorspren have a more direct Connection to Stormfather than other spren. Beyond that, acceptance and any oversight of that acceptance should be different from spren to spren and what the bondmate experiences with that acceptance should be different, as well.

  15. Everyone is assuming Wayne owes people money, but I think, for two reasons, that the situation is actually reversed. The reasons: Previously, Wayne invested money with and in the work of Sophi Tarcsel, who is the equivalent of Nikola Tesla's daughter, and who is likely doing very well in this modern age Dramatic irony - nowhere does Wayne say these people are after him due to him owing them anything, and everyone else is just assuming that he does because of his past habits Wayne doesn't owe people money, people are trying to track Wayne down to give him money, as a return on investments. This also might explain why he hasn't been as big a drain on Marasi in terms of metal nowadays, but that is a side issue. The bowler hat people, contrary of the beliefs of those around Wayne, are there to give him money due to his financial backing of Sophi Tarcsel's business.

  16. In the most recent minis kickstarter update, they announced a mini for a character called Zellion. My best guess is that this is El, the Fused we briefly see at the end of RoW. If it is a Stormlight character like I assume, they certainly look like a Fused. What do you think?

  18. Ya. Worldbuilding is so much fun. But when you write a book, so much more is added to the world and you have to be careful to not contradict yourself, or at least to go back and fix it. I like how you used "storm it" btw. It comes from listening to the stormlight archive too much.

  25. I agree with basically everything you just said. You've perfectly captured what I was planning on having for the minor talents, and I totally agree that the head-popping is a big deal. In my mind, it would take a solid 30 seconds of very obvious concentration and channeling, that if interrupted would immediately reset the process. It's also immensely taxing-- as I said, he can only do it a couple times before needing a good deal of time to rest. It also really hurts him to do.

  26. Cassandra gave a sad smile. “It could work. It’s more on the track I was looking for. But I don’t know how much of me is human anymore. I’ll pay for the comission on the glove though,” she added, removing the strange enhancer and fishing in her bag for the right mark. ”This planet has so much… there has to be something. Somewhere.” She was in denial, still looking for a perfect bargain. Even still, that surprised her. She’d never been one to follow a rigid pattern of how she reacted to things, even after getting the Soulcaster. She hadn’t felt angry at her diagnosis. Just… stunned. In denial. Then straight to bargaining, trying to find a way out. There was a way out. Hang up the Soulcaster. Take whatever enhancing devices Technotic had available, whatever connection she would need, and live the rest of her life as a simple Lurcher and blacksmith. Sell the Soulcaster to the highest bidder, bury it, break it, cast it into Shadesmar or some lost Alley. Get rid of it. But she couldn’t. She still wanted to bargain. And the project was the only offer left. ”If you have designs for how those fabrials work, I may have another way to power them. I could pay for that as well.”

  29. Pg1 This is just a personal note, but Ar and Ae’s names are similar, which might become a little confusing. Not a major deal though. “New England” I think these adjectives might be in the wrong order, not sure though “70’s” that sounds like a nice play to live! I think it should be typed out “seventies” though. “barely looked” in what ways does it not resemble a door? This may have been mentioned in an earlier chapter, but I’d like to know how. Is it the wrong shape? Does it blend in with the wall? I like the description of the tailor! Ironic that they would wear rags IMO “neutral party” that’s an interesting detail Pg 2 “food and pencils and” I think one or both instances of “and” should be removed “charge for” smart thinking Pg 3 I like the bartering so far. It’s interesting. “everyone wore gowns” That sounds like an awesome ball! Now I’m imagining a severe faerie lord in a black gown or something “they queen” the queen? Pg 4 “unicorn Pegasus” missing commas “the you would be right” then you “Granted” I would remove this word and just start with “most” They have been gone for hundreds of years?? Interesting “knowable” not a fan of this word. Maybe something along the lines of “all there is to know” “slipped away” relatable “they thought remembered” They thought they? Pg 5 “C glared” didn’t C just remark on how harsh Ae was being? This seems about the same level of harshness Pg 6 “Very east to commands” Very easily? “They fae often switch” The fae? Also, I think that this idea is interesting. It definitely feels like something a fae would do. Pg 7 “they live for, like what” I would end the sentence after “for” Eavesdropping is one word Pg 8 I like how the steeds are telepathic, and I imagine that it is probably pretty annoyed with A, considering that it probably views flying as mundane at this point Pg 9 “circled through the forest” I would have thought circle above, since they are flying “a leaf-wrapped oat bars” remove “a” “their but” their butt Oooh, that is a very nice hook for the next chapter! I glanced through the previous two chapters but didn’t read them all the way through, so I will avoid making too many notes on the overall story so far until I’ve done that. That being said, I found this chapter to be interesting! I liked all the little details about faerie and the culture of the fae, and I am excited to see a story play out in this setting. I’ve always like the mix of fantastic legalism that fae seem to bring to stories, so I’m excited to see how that plays out. I’d personally like some more details about the surroundings and sensations throughout the chapter. For instance, I noted the door above, which is described as not looking like a door. What makes it not look like a door? Does it blend into the wall? Is it oddly shaped? Does it have leaves and flowers growing out of it? Are the rooms and hallways nicely furnished, bare, made of wood, or stone? What does the stable smell like? Does it smell like manure, or does it have a different faerie smell? What exactly is so exhilarating about flying? Are there any unique features to the landscape other than fields of flowers and forests? Do they look different from forests on earth? Do the sun, sky, and clouds look the same? Anyways, I’m sure you get the idea. And, admittedly, the previous chapters could have had some of those descriptions, so I apologize if that’s the case. Still, I would like to have a little more physical description. Looking forward to reading more!

  30. Fair enough, I'll change the character. Fortunately, I did some sleep-deprived thinking and realized that I can change Mr. Poot into an Epic with basically no significant re-writes needed. In fact, it actually works a bit better this way. This made me chuckle a little bit, not going to lie. Anyway, here's the new character!

  35. It would look great if you could get a couple of LED lights around the inside of the collar and the cuffs (or anywhere else that enhances the effect), to glow the right color. Extra points if you can hook them up to something that would modulate the light a little bit, to make the glow effect more organic and less steady.

Shouldn’t something say these words are accepted for each of the orders. NO SPOILERS OF RHYTM OF WAR. I haven’t read it yet.

  40. This is a limitation of Regrowth specifically. In Radiant Healing (Radiant, Squire, and Honorblades) as well as Gold feruchemy, the only perception involved is the person's own Self, nice and direct and Internal. But in Regrowth, it's weaker and also the target is External so both the Radiant and their Spren's Perceptions are likely to get in the mix.

  43. So I am fully on Fused Blackthorn, but then I thought that would be the end result of the contest of champions for awhile. Zellion sounds like a Fused title to me, and that profile looks more human than Singer to me. What I love about this design is it gives me Vader vibes. Tall, dark and foreboding. I would push back on that being Ishar's blade, due to the length seemingly closer to a Sprenblade than a Honorblade. Though it being the Blackthorn with Ishar's blade is metal as hell, giving the Blackthorn bondsmith powers even if something happens to sever the bond with the SF

  46. You know you're a Sanderfan when someone mentions a 17th Shard swim calendar, and you can't stop yourself from assigning a Sanderson character to every month. I am so sorry. Cosmere 2015 A Year of Physical, Cognitive, and Spiritual Beauty! Vin in her corset as Ms. January! Picture taken just moments before she beat our stealth photographer into a pulp! These Newcagoan girls prove just how stylist steel swimsuits can be! Setting aside the obvious discomforts and glaring design flaws, of course. Eshonai's carapace swimwear as Ms. March is beautiful as it is mildly unsettling! You might think Regalia's past the age to be modeling in a swimsuit calendar. Ms. April proves you wrong! Satisfaction and sanity not guaranteed. Ever wonder what a lady Inquisitor in a bikini looks like? If we've spiked your curiosity, you'll love Ms. May! Shai as Ms. June! No, she isn't a model. But her nifty diagram will tell you how to stamp any article of clothing into swimwear! It's great at parties! Navani Kholin might raise a few eyebrows with her line of transparent swim-gloves... check out Ms. July for more info, wink wink. You know the Lord Ruler is immortal, invincible, and inexorable... but did you also know that he looks fabulous in a leotard? We can't see her, but our friend Stephen Leeds assures us that Ivy's modeling quite the one-piece as Ms. September! If you could see Ms. October's attire, you'd be amazed. Unfortunately you can't see her. As a White Sand character, the page with Khriss' modeling is available only on special request from Team Sanderson. Did you know there are female chasmfiends? Do you know how hard it is to design a swimsuit for a giant flesh-eating crustacean, let alone getting the storming thing to wear it? Maybe if you did, you'd appreciate Ms. November a little more. Just sayin'. And last but not least, Ms. December--surprise, it's Stick! This piece of waterlogged wood may not be fire, but that doesn't mean it can't be hot! ... Again, I am so, so sorry. Not very sorry though.
