  1. I think it important to be clear to everyone that I believe we as SE ought to be a welcoming community, an understanding community, and a compassionate community. I wholeheartedly disagree with the sentiment I feel this statement exudes. Drake has always shown himself to be an upstanding member of our community, and one that we should want to keep hold of. If we make passive aggressive remarks about absences, when it’s overwhelmingly likely that there’s a good reason for the absence, we create an expectant, accusatory atmosphere for the GM to return to. We have had instances of GMs leaving partway through a game, and if would be a terrible outcome if we were to shame GMs who disappear briefly and so incentivise their not returning. Fundamentally, people are human, and do respond to pressure. If Drake, or indeed any other GM, were having a difficult time personally, I think it quite reasonable to expect that a GM could feel too ashamed to return if players create this sort of atmosphere. Up to this point, it has been lovely to see people enjoying the thread and joking about lynches. I think this is the spirit we should seek to keep, not one of expectation and passive aggressiveness. NB: This is said without my mod hat on, but is based on my personal views. Seonid is the IM for this game.

  2. ..because my hubby won't shut up about the forums. (He's JOrville on here) Hello, hello! I'm popping in for the first time here. I'll confess, I haven't read the books. But, I hear my husband talking about the 17th Shard, Brandon Sanderson, or the forums all the time. My interest is now peaked! I guess I'll finally crack open a book (I'm highly critical of books though, Brandon, you have been warned). I just might be Brandon's only fan that read the books ONLY because said Hubby spent a whole day bemoaning that he wasn't there to get a leather bound copy (That's a thing?) and talking non stop about getting good criticism on the writing forums. Anyway, a little about me: I'm more of an artist than a writer, and while I've now been doing digital art for a few years...I don't really have the time to practice . This is in part due to a well defined, practiced, and consistently established daily dose of laziness, and taking care of my spawn of which we've made four . We home school (Which is kind of like saying: We are sacrificing all our time to do K-12 four more times), and for some reason the minions demand that I provide them with sustenance and care. I enjoy reading, but I am super picky. I didn't even finish Wheel of Time because R.J. passed on . (I'll assume you guys know who finished the series). Now, however, I'm curious and after I test and see how Brandon writes, I might look into rereading the WoT novels. Don't get me wrong though! It's not like I've had writing lessons, or go around criticizing everyone just to be rude! For the most part, I keep my lovely opinions to myself unless it is asked for...or my husband wanders by (He receives no mercy. None at all. Poor bloke. I'm pretty sure his work trembles every time I walk by at this point). Anyway! I'll be around. Lurking...waiting...watching. And of course reading these books..finally.

  3. Alvron sat in bed, sick with the flu. Again. “Alvron, guess who’s here?” called his mother. A grin split Alvrons face, because it was- “Hello, Alv!” Grandpa Steel burst through the door. “I heard you had a little time again, and that you wanted me to tell you your favorite story.” He walked over, and pinched Alv’s cheek. “Yes, I did. Although, I had some thoughts on how the ending could be improved,” grinned Alvron, despite him not enjoying being pinched. “Of course you do.” Grandpa Steel pulled over a chair, and Alv fiddled with a pair of dice as he got himself settled. “Ok, here we go,” Grandpa said, as he cleared his throat. “Once upon a time, a beautiful farm girl fell in love with a farm hand. But the farm hand needed money to marry her, and so went across the ocean to seek his fortune. But soon Buttercup, the farm girl, received news that Wesley never made it. His ship had been raided by the Dread Pirate Roberts, the most feared pirate on the seas, for he never left any survivors. Buttercup shut herself away, swearing she would never love again.” “Time passed, and Buttercup developed into the most beautiful girl in the world. And one day, Prince Humperdink came to town and asked her to marry him. She warned him that she would never love him, but he remained confident that she would grow to care for him.” “The people loved Princess Buttercup. Her beauty and common origin charmed all who met her. But she was not happy. She took every opportunity to get out of the castle that she could.” “Little did she know that Humperdinck had developed a plan to set his country at war with Gilder. And he had hired a crew to kidnap and kill her, and frame the country of Gilder. And so she was abducted by a spaniard, a giant, and a sicilian.” “Mysteriously, a ship followed them through the Sea of Eels as they went to the Cliffs of Insanity. A Man in Black climbed up the cliffs, defeated the Spaniard in an epic sword fight, defeated the giant in wrestling, and outsmarted the Sicilian into taking poison. And then he revealed himself to be the dread pirate Roberts- and Wesley, Buttercup’s long lost love.” “Tracked by the Prince, the lovers escaped into the Fire Swamp, but when they came out they were surrounded by the Princes men. Buttercup agrees to go with the Prince, but his right hand man, the Count, knows that Wesley is to be tortured. Before he is knocked out, however, Wesley noticed that the count had six fingers on his hand- a description provided by the Spaniard, of the man who had killed the Spaniards father.” “While Humperdinck sets up plans to marry and then kill Buttercup, Wesley is tortured to death in the PIT OF DESPAIR! His agonized screams lead the Giant and the Spaniard to his location, where they find that he is... Mostly dead.” “Only a miracle can save him now. So they go to Miracle Max, a funny little man, who with a little bit of convincing, provides a pill to resurrect Wesley.” Alvron coughed, and Grandpa Steel looked up. “Um, yeah. Improvements. I think that Wesley should be taking more people with him to go fight Humperdinck. He has all those pirates back at the ship, and plus, shouldn’t Miracle Max tag along?” Grandpa Steel looked at Alv a little strangely. “All right then. If you want this to be like that, the ending might get a little unpredictable.” Alvron grinned at that. “I love unpredictability.” Grandpa Steel shook his head, and continued on, adding the extra elements. “Wesley donned the mantle of Dread Pirate Roberts once again, for he intended to strike fear into the hearts of the Prince and his men. He also grabbed his pirates from his ship. He would need all the help he could get.” “And Miracle Max decided to tag along, for he intended to prove himself the greatest Healer of all time.” “All fates hang in the balance. If the Dread Pirate and Buttercup are killed, war with Gilder will be inevitable. But if Roberts pirates can overwhelm the Princes men, two countries will be kept from war.” Welcome to the Princess Bride game, A Land War in Asia! Day turns are 48 hours, and Night turns are 24 hours. The villagers are Roberts’ Pirates, with exceptions noted in the specified roles. They must kill all of the Princes Men to stop a war and win the game! The Pirates have a lynch during the day. The Princes Men have to outnumber the village, so no one can tell the truth, and Gilder can once again be framed for the death of Buttercup! They have a night kill; the night kill being put in counts as an action. The night kill sends the victim to the Pit of Despair, where their life force is drained away by the machine of the Count. They also have the Pit to conspire in. When hit by a kill, players become Mostly Dead. Mostly Dead Players may take no actions except self administration of the Miracle Pill, and may not speak in PMs, docs, or the thread. Role and alignment is not revealed upon becoming mostly dead. They are still targetable by actions. After a turn of being mostly dead, players become totally dead. Totally dead players are unrecoverable, and their role and alignment is revealed. All players may pass Miracle Pills, administer Miracle Pills to mostly dead players, and create a permanent PM with one player during the night. Each of these count as an action, out of the two given each night. Random Roles: Parrot- Those with a parrot can make an extra PM each night, regardless of actions. Dagger- Those with a dagger can choose to force someone to change their vote, one time. Rum- Those with the Rum can choose to make someone to forget to vote, one time. Note- these are not items, and they cannot be passed. Village Roles: Wesley / Dread Pirate Roberts- survive with the Princess! As the Dread Pirate Roberts, he has a night kill, which he can use once per cycle. As a lover, he starts off with a PM with Buttercup. If Buttercup dies, he gains a normal village win condition, and Wesley loses his kill ability. The Spaniard- win condition: kill the 6 fingered man, either through his kill or by participating in his lynch. This includes killing him while he is Mostly Dead. He is led by the vengeful spirit of his father, and each night he can ask his father once whether a player is the 6 fingered man. He has 1 kill in the game, a kill that he can use at any point (although it still requires an action). If someone else carries out the kill on the 6 Fingered Man, the Spaniard gains a normal village win condition. Princess Buttercup- win condition: survive with Wesley. Her exceeding beauty startles all those who see her; each night, she can prevent one player from taking any actions. As a lover, she starts out with a PM with Wesley. If Wesley dies, she gains a normal win condition, goes into mourning and loses her ability. The Giant- normal win condition. He is powerful against groups of people, and is invincible to the Lynch. However, just as the Man in Black beat him, he is not as good against individuals, and is vulnerable to any other kill, or the Pit of Despair. Also, due to his massive size, a double dose of the Miracle Pill is required in order to bring him back from being Mostly Dead. If the Giant is caught in a tie, it will be the other person who dies. Pirates- standard villager. Neutrals- Miracle Max- revive at least 3 villagers and 1 eliminator (subject to change based on how many people sign up). Each night you can create one Miracle Pill, using an action. You may not create 2 pills. It is received at the beginning of the day. Miracle Pills can be administered to mostly dead players to bring them back. They can be given to other players (any reviving still counts towards the win condition). If Miracle Max revives himself, it does not count towards his goal. Eliminators: Prince Humperdinck- elim win condition. However, he is a superior huntsman and tracker; during the night, he can follow one player to see who they target. The 6 Fingered Count- elim win condition. The target of the Spaniard. No special abilities. Humperdinck's guards: normal eliminators. During each turn, every player has 2 actions. Day Order: Dagger/Rum, Lynch, Spaniard kill, Miracle Pill Night order: role block/track, scan, Kills, Miracle Pill The Miracle Pill- resurrects a player from being mostly dead. This can be passed or administered for an action. When you come back from being mostly dead, you become role-blocked for a cycle. You may only be saved a maximum of two times, meaning when you get hit by any kill for a third time, you instantly become completely dead. The Lynch: There is a two vote minimum for lynching. If people are tied for Lynch, an iocaine powder situation occurs. Submissions for iocaine powder mechanic are required. In the GM pm, you simply indicated which cup you would poison, and which cup you would drink (ex. I would poison my cup, and would take the other person’s cup). The Poisoner/chooser will be determined by order of signing up, with the poisoner coming first. You may also change your choices at any time. When more than 2 people are tied, if the number is even, they will be randomly divided into sets of 2, where who survives will be determined by the iocaine rules. If it is an odd number, one person will die, and the rest will be determined by the iocaine rules. During each day, there will be a “Fashion”. Being “fashionable” and using creative humor can win you a special award- The Twue Peanut award. This prestigious honor will go to the person who makes me laugh the hardest. Everyone who signs up for the game is eligible. I will keep track of each joke or thing that makes me laugh. This can be in thread, doc, or PM. If you are mostly dead, you can submit your witty comments in your GM PM. Normal jokes that make me laugh will get one point. Jokes relating to the daily “Fashion” that make me laugh will have their points tripled. Things that make me die of laughter will have their points doubled. The person with the most points at the end game will win this award. Other awards may be distributed as I see fit. All awards will have prizes for you to show off. There will also be a thing in the spec doc, if for some reason, you can't play this game. It'll be more fun if you join the game, though. If you are inactive for more than 2 cycles in a row, you will be dragged to the fire swamp and killed for your awful sense of fashion by ROUS's, fire jets, and lightning sand. This death will be instant, you will not spend any time as Mostly Dead. If there are any pinch hitters, they will be brought in instead of death. Note: for the purpose of win conditions, players must be totally dead in order to qualify as having been "killed", unless otherwise noted. Other odds and ends- It will begin with a day turn. You may not lynch the GM or IM. Some clarifications on how the different win conditions will function- all villagers are guaranteed to win if they kill all the eliminators. But, if the elims end up outnumbering the village, the Spaniard will still win if they killed the Count, and Buttercup/Wesley will still win if they survive together. The Eliminators have to outnumber all villagers, including those with alternate win conditions. Please remember to include me in all your PMs. Kill types will be distinguished in the write-ups, but roles and write up perspective will be played around with due to mostly dead mechanic. Buttercup’s roleblock will block Humperdinck’s track, but Humperdinck’s track is able to follow Buttercup’s roleblock Furthermore, I hope everyone who wants to play will join. This game was designed by me to be fun, so you can laugh as you kill each other. After all, I find it inconceivable that anyone could possibly not enjoy this game. So, anyone who is even slightly interested in playing this, come and play! The more people, the merrier this will be. This game will tenatively start at 7:00 PM EST, June 1st. Links Player List: 1. 5. One thing that I want to add to this that tends to bother me, and I think Kaladin's viewpoint shows exceptionally well is that hate is never valid, even when justified. Kaladin was (and still sort of is, though he's getting better) extremely prejudiced against lighteyes, and after everything he's been through it could be argued that his viewpoint is justified. But just because there is not a systematic racism enforcing his hatred, does not make his hate right. In situations like his, prejudice actually reinforces the oppression that his discriminated people are placed under. Darkeyes assuming that all lighteyes are terrible and refusing to work with them means that they will alienate people who are sympathetic and could be in positions to create actual systemic change. Just because a systemic prejudice is not on the side of your hatred, doesn't make that hatred any better. Hate is hate is hate. For it to end, both sides have to be able to get past it. The oppressed holding to their own hatred, no matter how justified it seems, just creates situations that the oppressors can use to validate their positions, while it also keeps relationships that would be beneficial from forming. All hatred is problematic. All of it. Systematic racism/prejudice obviously favors one side, but just because someone is on the oppressed side doesn't absolve them of guilt. Unfortunately, life just isn't that fair.

  6. Hello, a Cosmere acolyte here all the way from India. Looking forward to trading theories, discussing favourite moments and sharing the wait for the next one the come. Also, I never thought I'd say this for an author, but Brandon writes way too much. It's hard to keep up! Journey before destination...

  7. Drake Marshall has been lynched! He was a Game Master and the last evil player! The game is now over! The Village wins! JK I apologize for the late start but I am present and the first cycle will be up imminently. I hope starting one cycle's duration later does not create problems for people. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Enjoy the show

  9. The Shard he gave him was actually Cultivation, because out of nowhere she decided this hiding from Odium life was way too storming tough and handed it over. She then retired and became a crazy cat lady. So now Harmony had Ruin, Preservation, and Cultivation, all of which were tugging against each other (being complete opposites) . It wasn't very harmonic. So Harmony became Conflict. Conflict liked war and fighting. He decided to cause the whole Cosmere to be in a giant war. Odium liked this, and teamed up with him. Butt got worried.

  14. I would. This seems really fun. I will be gone from the 6th through the 9th of June though. So, I may be able to do it morning 6th and night 9th, but I would miss two days in the middle. If that is good, I would join as Maw Wiage. I will bring the people together. (Got you @Kidpen)

  15. I could join, but I'd miss most of Cycle 2, be slightly inactive in cycle 4+5, and go probably completely inactive sometime cycle 6. That wouldn't be fair for my team EDIT: That said, I reserve the name Aro U. Esses

  16. Welcome! Yes, Brandon does write more than other authors. And better. And more witty. And funnier. And with better world building. And better magic. And more logical magic. And better characters. And better plot twists. And clever foreshadowing. And improved series progression. And he always seems to improve in the next book. And wiser quotes. And Wayne. And more relatably. And for a wider audience. And with the most flair. I really like Brandon Sanderson.

  17. @Orlok Tsubodai Thank you for that comment. We really were enjoying the light-hearted humor, but I definitely don't want to offend anyone. I think that the humor we had was all good intentioned, but like you said, if it is left unchecked, it could turn into passive aggressive humor. I've been in experiences in my life where well-intentioned humor turned sour, while the target of the 'humor' was there, and it isn't fun. While poking and prodding at people is often fun, it's important to remember that the other person, has feelings, or in our online case, that the other user has a face, which masks their feelings.

  18. Honestly, the thing that's always bemused me about the so-called Survival shard is that when the original quote was one Shard "just wants to hide and survive", almost universally the aspect of that quote people ran with was survive. That's only half that quote, and since Brandon later clarified the survive part was tangential to its Intent, rather than the focus, its always seemed to me its better referred to as the Hiding Shard. All the Shards we know of are fairly distinct with elements of overlap in some of their Intents, but only tangentially and to small degrees. Whereas survival is practically synonymous with preservation, so it was always hard for me to picture how another Shard could have Survival as its primary Intent and not have a ton of crossover with Preservation's Intent. Whereas a Shard that just wants to hide, or even a Shard that's WILLING to hide at all, says a lot to describe an Intent that's unlike any of the other Shards we know of. What's so different about it? The fact that all the other Shards we know of are practically UNABLE to keep from meddling in mortal affairs to some degree. Even Autonomy, whose Intent (of the ones we know) would come closest to avoiding people or meddling with them entirely. Add to that, all Vessels are ultimately influenced by their Intent...it doesn't dictate all their actions, but it dictates their agenda, which in turn determines their actions. As an example, we know Endowment prefers to keep out of cosmere wide events and keep to her planet, but I genuinely don't think she'd be capable of simply 'hiding and surviving', no matter how much she wanted to avoid Rayse and his agenda towards other Shards. Her Intent is Endowment, its literally gifting things to others. She can't NOT Endow things to others, which means she can't simply cut herself from any and all others she might potentially Endow things to, no matter her own self-preservation instincts and how much she might want to survive the conflicts the others engage in. All the Shards still have personalities, they're not mindless forces compelled to further their Intent with no regard for their own sense of self and petty wants and desires, so Endowment can still WANT to survive and act towards that, for instance. But due to the influence of her Intent, any steps she might take towards self-preservation would have to take into account how her Intent has influenced her personality to prioritize Endowment as something that's fundamental to her nature. She can 'hide' on Nalthis and try and keep the cosmere-wide conflicts from spilling over to her planet and affecting her in turn, but she can't simply run away to a barren asteroid somewhere and hide and survive, prioritizing her own self-preservation OVER her Intent of Endowment. Which brings us to a Shard that's even able to "JUST hide and and survive." If survive is tangential to this Shard's Intent, of more focus is the fact that its Intent allows it to want something that's entirely self-sufficient and inward-focused, rather than looking outward to the rest of creation, the way all other Shards we know of seem geared towards, or act along those lines. Brandon's cautioned before not to read too much into his own personal religious beliefs or assume Adonalsium is a direct analog to our ideas of a Christian god. All we know for sure is that its the cosmere's version of the demiurge, the driving force of creation. All sixteen Shards are aspects of that driving force of creation, which explains why all the Shards we know of are so focused on the creation around them and interacting with it in various ways. So the better question we should be asking about this Shard IMO, is what kind of Intent can be born OF creation, while not wanting or at least not needing much else to do with creation outside of itself?

Eventually I spotted it on the ground, mostly concealed under some guy's shoe. I walked up to ask him to lift up his foot so I could get my watch, but as I did so I realized two things about him: 1): He was absolutely wasted drunk, and 2): he was harassing this young woman. So I punched him in the jaw. Nobody does that to a woman: not on my watch!

Ok...What a ridiculously stupid idea!' Shows what I know! I am starting with Mistborn I think. Not actually sure which books are first. Guess I'll have to update you or have my hubby respond for me. Jorville? Any input? It's seriously awesome every time we meet a homeschool graduate . I do it all by myself. Publisher, Khan Academy, Workbooks from wherever, white boards, and field trips. We don't Co-Op exactly although sometimes I'll do some trading with the neighborly homeschool families. Nothing official though. Our kids scored really high this year (Required testing for 3rd, 5th grade in Hawaii). You could say we're loving it :). Mmmm...Sorry, can't respond- Braaaaaains....

  36. I think the "only 4th sons fight" is the thing Rock has lied to Bridge Four about. And knowing Rock, it's not an outright lie, but a lie of omission. I'm thinking, the full truth is that only 4th+ sons and the nuatoma fight... And that the nuatoma is either the eldest son of the clan ruler, or a role that can devolve to anybody with the right blood claim and who acts to claim it, as by fighting. This would fit in with the seniority by birth order apparent in what Rock describes of his society, with his describing the relatives (clan members) of a nuatoma as being like his servants, as the Alethi are to their Brightlords, and of course with an Unkalaki nuatoma periodically coming down from the Peaks to challenge a Brightlord to duel for Shards. In this interpretation, the two names his wife mentions, Tifi and Sinaku'a, were his two next older brothers, the eldest being the nuatoma in question who challenged Sadeas. In so doing they were not "breaking traditional roles" but essentially each in turn claiming the right of the eldest to be the nuatoma and to continue the fight for Sadeas' Shardplate. Whether out of cowardice or some other reason, Rock deferred (despite likely being the most combat trained of his brothers, as Tifi and Sinak'a would not have been fighters?), and chose to become the chull dung cooking bridgeman we met in The Way of Kings. But now, having picked up the Shardbow and used it to kill Amaram to save Kaladin (however he managed the draw), he has simultaneously claimed the role of nuatoma as well as become a full Shardbearer, the long-awaited High King of the Horneaters, or whatever the Unkalaki term for it would be. He bowed his head from the weight of the responsibility of it, and whatever unspoken reason there had been for him to have been dodging it all along.

  37. Hah! Interesting title! If I remember correctly, first, second and third sons are needed for growing food, ruling, etc. Only fourth+ sons are trained as fighters. So yes, Rock probably was trained as a fighter, but then his older brothers were killed. So more likely, rather than being a coward, he's no longer the fourth+ son, so no longer a fighter, and that's why he refused to fight. I think her inference there is not that she expected him to fight, but that she expected him to rule. It seems likely to me that it was his older brother(s) that were killed by Sadeas, and that he is actually the clan leader now. And of course, now that he has Shards, he should be King of the Horneater Peaks.

  40. I think I'll have time to play. I would like to sign up as Indigo Montoya, a colorful Spanish American man whose stepfather lost his life fortune to a six fingered slight of hand artist in a game of poker. I seek to avenge my stepfather in a poker game of champions against the six fingered man. I hope he isn't killed by my Spanish cousin, Inigo

  42. Stormlight roughly increases strength 1.5-2x. I've actually compiled a list of relevant quotes comparing the two in order to solve this debate once and for all, but I've yet to decide whether to post it here or on Reddit. Anyway a good indication of the radiants strength is that they rarely do anything strength wise that could be considered superhuman. So the first quote quite clearly shows it increases strength, the second one shows that although it is not an insignificant strength increase it's not enough for kaladin to definitively say his feat in jumping is greater then an ordinary man could manage. Seeing as the horse appears to be thoroughbred and that are at most 170 cm in height kaladin probably doesn't jump over a metre in height otherwise he wouldn't have had to grab hold of the pommel and throw a leg over. He could have just bent a leg and landed on the saddle sitting. Also jumping over a metre in height is starting to be quite obviously superhuman so there's that too. There's other instances of strength increases but i'm not going to list them all. now on to pewter So given the above quotes and pewters ability to allow people to run as faster or faster then a horse (which is 50km + about 2-3x the average sprint speed of a person) pewter likely increases strength by a factor of 5-10x. It will vary person to person though because in the case of a lerasium mistborn seeing as they are capable of stopping a koloss blow they are likely 15-20x as strong as normal and that's a conservative estimate. The koloss by virtue of being twice as big as normal must be 8x as heavy by virtue of the cubed square law and since they have shown reasonable jumping capabilities and survived falls from reasonable height they are likely at least 2x stronger on top of that. Combine that with the fact koloss will have all there weight behind the swing of a sword at similar speed 15-20x as strong isn't unreasonable. Lerasium mistborn aren't more then 2x as strong as they haven't been shown to be able to pierce copper clouds so hence a normal mistborn being half strength. i'm not entirely sure on the strength of plate but this quote gives an idea. So for the punch delivered above, the end result sounds quite similar to the blow the pewter thug delivers to Vin. So given that the thug had the use of two hands and the plate bearer only had one i'm going to say he is half as strong. That would mean a lerasium mistborn and a man in plate are roughly equivalent in strength, with a normal mistborn being being half that strength. So lets double check that by comparing jump heights and accounting for the weight of plate. Plate probably weighs 200-300 lbs, enough that your going to find it extremely difficult to move in. So seeing as there's a scene where Dalinar jumps 8 feet which is about equivalent to 6 feet in normal gravity that means if you take away the suit which is at least his weight he would be capable of jumping 12-15 feet. We see Vin jump 10 feet in a leap so it's not unreasonable to suggest a lerasium mistborn could jump 12-15 feet if they wanted. So these results are roughly the same as above and indicate plate and lerasium are on par with normal misting being half as strong (remember vin is stronger then normal hence her jump not being that close to half). So in summary plate>/= to pewter which is > stormlight. So basically it depends with regards to pewter and plate and stormlight is a distant third. So which one is strongest? feruchemy clearly. By the way if your discussing Allomancy you might want to state whether spoilers are allowed or move it to a different forum.

  45. I chose my name because I'm a nerd (as are many on this site-I'm also a geek, (as are most on this site) but I won't go into that or the difference between them). Anyway, that made the Nerd portion of my name easy. I also enjoy math (yes, I said enjoy) and for a while I was obsessed with pi, so I used as many digits as I knew at the time (I know more now, but I decided to just leave it.) I know this isn't strictly relevant to the thread, but the profile picture was because pi=circle and Brandon Sanderson books+circles=rithmatic circles.I decided to go with the Basic Easton Defense-though I couldn't fit it completely onto my profile picture.
