  1. It came to my attention that many people on the forums seem to consider the Highstorms to be a variation of the Earth storms, perhaps grander in scale, but operating under the same principles. Now, I cannot claim to understand the weather system well, and I have lived for the last 6 years in Tokyo, where I have been blessed by the mild weather for the duration. It seems to me, however, that a majority of the extreme weather system on Earth are of rotary nature (cyclones, hurricanes), that also go from regions of high pressure towards lower. I think that is incompatible with the descriptions of Highstorms that we have in WoK, considering the points below: (hidden for clarity) These properties, to me at least, seem to indicate a detonation or deflagration wave. Such waves are, however, driven by a layer of reaction that supplies energy to the front before it. In my opinion, such energy could be supplied, in this case, by the coupling between physical and spiritual realms. Therefore, my opinion is that the Highstorms form as follows: (hidden for clarity) But obviously, my opinion is worthless without some data to back it up. Therefore I invested some time to create a relatively simple simulation system to show what it would look like. I am not perfectly satisfied with the results, but Kurkistan has assured me that they would be of interest to some people. So, without further ado: Also, a video file, for those who would want to see the simulation results in motion. The details of the simulations, for those interested: Now, it is obvious that the model and the simulation are not perfect, therefore I would like some help, if that is possible. In particular: Could somebody with better artistic abilities than me draw a better slice of Roshar for simulation? Suggestions for better coupling than simply "drive matter sideways"? Any general notes or suggestions?

  3. Night 3 (Forging Ahead) “Aha!” cried Durnam, holding up a hand with index finger raised. “I believe I have solved all our problems, ladies and gentlemen! I have come up with the perfect plan to filter out those of us who are traitors!” “Uh, Durnam,” said Aether. “Whose hand is that?” “Oh this? This is Jason’s. He won’t be needing it anymore. He’s dead, unfortunately. Now! Onto getting those that killed him!” Durnam had a tendency to talk with his hands and was waving Jason’s severed arm around as he detailed out his plan. “...And that is why we should kill Beetle,” he finished, pointing with the arm at Beetle. Beetle just so happened to be filching Quiver’s drink at the time and was caught by everyone’s stares, like a deer in the headlights. Dyring’s eyes lit up and he grabbed a club he had stashed behind the bar. “But, but I’m the Seeker!” Beetle yelled. He put on his best innocent kid face and turned towards the room. “I’m not a threat. I’m just a little, scared kid. Please don’t kill me. Besides, the blacksmith is far more likely to be Spiked than me!” As Beetle pleaded and Durnam argued, Aether got out his paper and pens. “Lists! We need lists to solve this dilemma! Lists fix everything.” The entire Inn seemed to turn into a free for all, with accusations flying about quicker than they could leave their mouths. Durnam curled Jason’s hand into a fist and started shaking it at people. As the day wore on, it seemed that Beetle’s puppy-dog eyes were starting to win over the crowd. Durnam threw up his hands in disgust and turned to leave. “You’ll be sorry! You should’ve listened to me when we had the chance!” With tempers still high, it didn’t take the villagers to commune on Edgar’s forge. The burly blacksmith was inside working on some new swords for the defense of the village. Everyone rushed him, as they figured they would need everyone to keep him from escaping, but he didn’t run. They forced him to his knees and still he didn’t struggle. Someone grabbed the sword, still red hot from the furnace and stabbed him right in the chest. All Edgar did was tilt his head to the side, as if he heard something the others couldn’t hear and then he slumped over. Durnam refused to check over the body. “You did this,” he said petulantly. “I’ll have no part in your murder.” So they did the best they could, searching Edgar’s body over and over again. Gambles checked the shop and found a bag of bronze flakings in vials hidden in a chest in Edgar’s bedroom. They spent all day, searching and poking and prodding, but there didn’t seem to be a single piece of metal on him. By the time the sun set, it was a despondent group that made its way back to the Inn. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edgar, the Blacksmith is dead! He turned out to be the VILLAGE SEEKER. Night 3 begins! Send in your night orders! The night ends either 36 hours from now or whenever I get all of the night orders. EDIT: Forgot to add the player votes. Doh! Edgar - 7 (Maill, Gambles, Kukri, Beetle, Wilson, Darnam, Mat) Beetle - 4 (Edgar, Aether, Clancy, Dyring, Quiver) Updated Player List Sorry guys, I didn't have as much time to work on this one as I did some of the others. And up until the very end, even I had no idea which way the vote was going to swing, so I couldn't plan out a lot ahead of time. My most sincere apologies to Edgedancer. I wish I could've done your death a little more justice.

  4. Jasnah's had sinking in remindes me of how a soul stamp sinks in. I think when a person affects the cognitive aspect of some thing that the physical aspects are more fluid for a short time. Soulcasting has a lot of parallels to forging. Forging gets harder them more you try and change like why she couldn't just change the whole wall to mud. That's why individual rocks are easier to use to make food instead of just turning a hill into ham.

  6. The other option is this: drawing in Stormlight is an instinctual act, which differs only a little bit between orders; moreover, immediately after drawing it in, you're charged with magic and able to access powers beyond comprehension. Ususally, you're also about to fight for your life. The exact part of you which is touching an infused gem when you suck the power from it will only be relevant in situations where Stormlight is scarce, and any two Surgebinders meeting up for drinks probably have more exciting things to talk about. Imagine: "I have to inhale to get my Stormlight," says Kaladin. "See this garnet I'm holding, here? I can use it to change your blood type, making your body reject it. It would be a rather painful death,"says Shallan. "Well, look at that lovely sky there," says Kaladin. "Be a shame to fall into it, wouldn't it?" And the topic is forgotten.

  7. No, he said the Stormlight books would be every 18 to 24 months. However, I personally think that Stormlight 3 will come out in fall 2016. After that I expect every 24 months. We need to get the production time longer (between when Brandon finishes the book and it gets published) so we aren't running around like crazy.

  12. So a thought has occurred to me. Many of us who work on the wiki like to work on articles, especially long or involved ones, in our user pages and then transfer them over to their actual pages when we are done. And I for one generally go through a "I want outside input on this before I move this" close to the end of my process. It isn't always obvious though when someone like me wants outside opinions on something. And so the idea of this thread came to me. In this thread we can post when an article is close to being finished but you just want someone else's eyes to go over it. I will try to update this post with links to all of the user pages people want looked at. Hopefully someone else thinks this is a good idea as well. While comments can be discussed in this thread, I think the ideal place would be in the respective page's talk page. That way this thread doesn't get cluttered and comments don't get missed. 13. HEY ALL, I'm new to posting, been a long time lurker tho, and I was wondering about the oath pact in relation to the new chapters released for WoR. Jasnah says that the more intelligent spren dislike dealing with humanity after humanity broke its promise, but the spren now fear for their lives and so are more willing to deal with humans because of their desperation. I recognize this is probably a reference to the oathpact and the heralds, however I wonder if spren existed at the time of Adonalsium's shattering. We are sure the cognitive realm existed during the time of Adonalsium's shattering, given that Hoid has been using the cognitive realm to planet hop. Does that mean spren have existed since that time or are they more connected to odium, cultivation, and honors' conflict on roshar, or even to the latter's splintering? I'm pressed for time unfortunately, but please respond with any questions on clarity and I shall do my best to summarize my thoughts. Also this may have already been touched upon sorry if repeat.

  14. Hello everyone! i've been a Sanderson fan for quite some time now, but i've recently started digging deeper into his works now that i finally have some free time (yay for almost being done with school). i've been following the re-read of A Way of Kings on Tor.com and have only come up with more questions than answers and digging around on reddit and google has led me here. i'm definitely looking forward to learning more about the Cosmere and where things are going. i'm sure it will be a great adventure in Words of Radiance... anywho... my name is Tim and i'm also a poet, have a degree in English and ATC and thirst for knowledge.

  16. As someone else mentioned, the whole gambit on Bartbug seeking would only work on absolutely trusted people. No offense, Malil. Its just we all see how well taking somebodys word on his 'seeking accuracy' went before (Sorry, again, Edgar) I just still don't believe we have two seekers. (Unless Meta was being really nice to us, and we just kind of screwed that whole thing up) The only villager I would trust at this point would be a thug, if they were attacked by spiked and survived. But we don't even know the alignments of any of the roles yet either. So this is one hell of a pickle. But the whole Beetle/Malil thing will be tricky to pull off. Because Malil might become a night target by the Spiked if Beetle is one of them, to protect him. And we'd also need to make sure the coinshot doesn't target Beetle, and maybe lurcher protect Malil. And that's just too much to line up. And as I type it, this sounds like a Spiked argument trying to defend the Spiked identities of Malil and Beetle... so I'll shut up now. This game is frustrating on the mind. Edit: We should bank on the Coinshot getting rid of Beetle at this point. The longer he's alive, the more spiked there are roaming around. Gun 'im down, boys. Edit 2: Yeah, I agree. That Elantris-Oath is pretty darn convincing. (Although that's what a Spiked would want us to think!)

  17. Okay. It's nearly 2am and this is an absolutely bare bones...I hesitate to even call it a hypothesis. A wild speculation, then. I promise that, tomorrow, after some rest, I will edit this post to be a little more...comprehensive. One of the first things Sazed notes after using the power of both Preservation and Ruin is that the two belonged together. Then he wonders how they ever came to be seperated in the first place. Earlier he mentions sensing "shards of something ancient" that he alluded to as being the power of creation and/or god. Then he namedrops Adonalsium. So if Sazed Believes Ruin and Preservation belonged together and senses other Shards out there and comes to learn, or at least suspects, what Adonalsium was, then perhaps he is formulating a plan to restore Adonalsium. Perhaps, and this is the bulk of the wild speculation, the reason he designed Elendel the way he did, in such a symmetrical pattern, was so that if Elantrian's who traveled to Scadrial would be able to use Elendel like a different version of Elantris but powered by Harmony. Yes, even as I write it I can think of a dozen reasons to shoot it down. At least, the Elendel and Elantris comparison. But I will go through with posting this in the intrest of slightly amusing some of you. Besides, perhaps it will inspire a great idea in someone. Anyway, I'll update this with quotes and such tomorrow (later today) Edit One: I forgot to mention the part of the speculation where Harmony is aiding the 17th Shard which is why he designed Elendel the way he did - so they could use it as a substitute Elantris, fueled by Harmony, to woldhop. It would explain what Demeoux was doing on Roshar with an Elantrian. But so would a half dozen other things. I'm really just fiending for Words of Radiance so badly that I'm desperately looking for Cosmere stuff everywhere. Edit Two: In the glaring light of late afternoon, this post doesn't look nearly as interesting as it did when it popped into my mostly sleeping mind. So, I'll say that the Harmony using Elendel to fuel the AonDor for visiting Elantrians is a neat idea that may technically be possible, but that is extremely unlikely. However, I do believe Harmony is going to start meddling in the Cosmere in general - in a way that you may not suspect. So he can sense the other shards and is on the track to learning about Adonalsium. It won't be long before he knows that it was shattered. However, he seeks balance. So reforming these Shards into Adonalsium itself would upset the current balance... ...or would it? I wish to god that whomever asked this question didn't throw in the '' be it people or another cosmic force?" because we already know that Adonalsium was opposed - it must have been in order to have been Shattered. Unless the Shattering was a huge accident, but I just don't get that vibe. Seems like a ''good initiative, bad judgement" kind of screw up. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that Adonalsium was opposed by another cosmic force, which I think of as The Void. The opposite of Adonalsium, or the power of creation, would be The Void - destruction only in the sense that it Unmakes. Worse than entropy, because entropy ruins and decays things, but it doesn't cause them to cease to exist. This part has absolutely NO supporting evidence - it's mostly a gut feeling I hope becomes contagious. A small amount of circumstantial evidence: This tells us that there is something out there more powerful than the Shards. It's nearly certain, though I will allow for the probability that Brandon is just being tricksy. However, his ''manifest'' comment made me pause. What if Adonalsium was just a force of nature and it didn't have a consciousness like Shards of Adonalsium do? It would be a complete whole, so its power left to its own devices would function as they were intended to and it wasn't until this force was shattered that it required consciousnesses to guide the powers left behind since they were out of balance. I think of it much like if I were to take myself, make 15 clones, and do some fancy neurosurgery to cause each clone, and myself, to only be capable of feeling one particular emotion but also to feel it constantly. They're all natural emotions, but without the others to balance them something like, say, fury would be left unchecked and that clone would require addition supervision to make sure it didn't do anything counter to my original intents. Following me? It's like Adonalsium currently has severe multiple personality disorders, but each personality exists and is singular in its purpose. Okay, I'm hitting a tangent - back on topic. If the Power of Creation was a natural force that was balancing out an opposing force, which I find to be a reasonable assumption, it would throw the entire Cosmere out of whack when Adonalsium was shattered. Now the Void is doing whatever it is designed to do, which I assume is Unmaking things, and it's doing it completely unchecked because the Shards of Adonalsium can't see past their own Intents to stop it. Harmony, if he becomes privy to this information (if any of it is factual) will realize that things are WAY out of balance and that Odium is committing petty mischief compared to the even larger story happening behind the scenes. Perhaps Odium hates everything so much, he wants to disable the shards so that this Void is left to work uncontested. Mayhaps that's the origin of Odiums servants, the Voidbringers. Maybe they're in the know as to what Odium plans to do, and thus the name Voidbring rather than, say, Hatebringer or Harbingers of Desolations etc. So that's why I assume Demeoux is on Roshar looking for Hoid. The 17th Shard wants to stop him because, though Hoid is likely working towards the same goal they are, they thing his methods are wrong. Again, this is all speculation with the loosest of circumstantial evidence. My basic points are this: Adonalsium used to be opposed by a force; let's assume a cosmic one In light of the presumable disaster of the Shattering, that's all anyone is focused on but this other force is still active Harmony may catch wind and take steps to restore Adonalsium because Adonalsium, reformed, would be in harmony again with the force that opposed it.

  18. Consider the chapters set up by Tor. Shallan becoming betrothed to Adolin. Now, Shallan is from low nobility(compared to Adolin). Her family faces bankruptcy. She have some rather powerful enemies. Yet Navani suggests/agrees that she is to be betrothed to Adolin. I can see no other reason than that she was told by Jasnah that Shallan too can learn what Jasnah can. That Navani knows what Jasnah is becoming. What she can do. And Navani is listening to Dalinars visions. She was almost eager to believe them. I think this is a big reveal, but have she then told Jasnah of Dalinars visions? Im think propably not. But its almost impossible that she will not let them know of eachothers.... special circumstances. Opinions?

  19. Comments on "City of Elantris". Spoiler-tags added for clarity (though it does, on the surface at least, look a bit messier this way): HISTORY Construction: The Reod: New Elantris: The Restoration of Elantris: LANDMARKS Royal Palace: University: Hidden Library: Bank: Korathi Church: AONDOR Elantrians The Shaod: Power Amplification: TRIVIA Nothing to say here. Well done! General thoughts: I feel "Elantrian Metropolitan Area" is a bit distracting. It can technically be called that, but I feel like it is a bit out-of-place.. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ . . I might have overdone it a tad, but I hope that can still be useful. Permit me to say that it is a really nice-looking and well-written article, but there are a substantial amount of things that has to be corrected. Some of it is negligible - feel free to ignore that - but I feel like most of it is rather pertinent. My suggested changes aren't necessarily the best, though.

  21. I´d like to point out the possibility that Aondor is likely as powerful as it is since the shards are wrecked and out in the world, meaning all the power is avaliable. And I figure time is a tradeoff. And Raoden is to elantrians what Vin are to mistborn. And try to hit an atium mistborn with Aon Daa;).

  22. I'm not sure that Growth is not a fundamental aspect of reality in the Cosmere. Things gain sentience on their own (Splinters), after all. The Cosmere just doesn't work anywhere near the same as our own world, and when you add the Cognitive Realm into things, whackiness ensues. I agree that time would not be out of place as a Surge, but we've not heard any stories or legends about the Radiants being able to do it, so I'm leery. Through legends mentioned by various characters, we know the Radiants could: Walk on walls/fly (as per Teft). Gravity Surge. Teleport great distances (as per Teft and Jasnah). Travel Surge. Break stones with a touch (as per Heralds and also Jasnah). Division Surge probably. Command or control sunlight (as per Teft). Illumination Surge. Heal, using the miracle of Regrowth (as per Dalinar's vision and also a certain interlude). Growth Surge. These are all flashy, extravagant uses of the powers that were memorable enough to be passed down by common people through legends to Teft and everyone else. Any unknown Surges are going to have to be subtle, not very flashy, hard to understand, or not useful in combat, like the Surface Tension Surge or Friction Surge. If they're not, we should have heard of them. A Time Surge, if it was anything like Mistborn's time bubbles, would probably be flashy enough and useful enough to enter common legends of the Radiants. We haven't heard of it. I do agree that it's workable, though.

Not really seeming to pay any attention to the inn getting lesser and lesser populated. "Their all evil. Or fools. Or evil fools. Or just... mean. Or evil, sneaky, mean, murdering sheetsoiling little cretins who should have been slain years ago. One of it. "Who then. Who´s the worst. that little one. Should be chrushed. Good for him I´m a gentle soul, not out killing on me own. I could, I bet if I.. " The innkeeper glances at his club, the one he uses to divide troublemakers and towards the door "no. Better not. let others fight. Nothing good comes from it. I know. Just problems. Tend the inn. Let others fight. Even if they are fools. I sell drinks. Still. Who more than the cretin. Gamble? Kukri? Maybe Mat. No. Well, maybe. But not most likely. Mail? yeah. He seems likely. The urchin. Mail. Kukri, and gamble? He would say good odds for those four. But who can play on the odds for something like that? Perhaps that means he is spiked. But the others. Forgot Wilson and Aether. Wilson more likely. But maybe aether. Beetle dies. Wait. What if. " Dyring glances around at the thinning crowd. Then continues mumbling to himself. "I know. I am clearly cleverest. What if they know I´m the smartest? easy to see? Perhaps.. coming after me? No. Who would serve the drinks. Even koloss drink. don´t they? Really, they do right?"

  26. Makes me wonder whether Navani has ever inspecter Jasnah's "soulcaster". If she has, she would realize as a renound artifabrian that it was non-functional and then would question Jasnah how on earth she was able to soulcast. But I suppose it is more likely to conclude that Jasnah never let her mother near the fake to preserve her secret. I lean more towards the "Adolin has pushed every other girl away" idea myself. Remember how Navani helped Adolin court Danlin by finding out she loved those melons? She knows his habbit of short relationships and has been trying to help lengthen them...to no avail so far.

  28. In my opinion, Gaz is defiantly NOT dead. His character was or should I say is too complex to be killed behind te curtain. If you remember, when Gaz thinks about having to be a bridge man the worst fate a man could face. That was early on when this was said, and immediately, I thought it would be interesting if he was forced to put his life in Kaladin's hands. I felt empathy towards Gaz for some reason, and there was defiantly something fishy going on about him having to pay those spheres. I don't think the light eyes would keep Gaz's death a secret and it would be known if he was killed. There are TONS of bridge crews so I think he is one of them, keeping his head down. The "darkness" he felt in his missing eye has more to it than just his brief thought about it, I think it might be in reference to the creatures Shalahn (can't spell) captures in her drawings. Bottom line is, Gaz and Kaladin have not concluded their grudge and they are bound to share some moments together in book two. Mr. Sanderson says the clues are there to know. Skar killing him just bc of what reason or reasons were they again? Anywho, they were my solid, Gaz's shady background and his low rank in the military are clues enough that he will be made a bridge man, and I am so excited to see him and Kaladin working together and Gaz becoming a better person.

  34. I don't think she's uninterested, I think she's actively rejecting marriage, at least for herself. It's pretty clear in the way she brings up her plan to marry Shallan off to Adolin. Shallan remarks that it's the first time she sees Jasnah unsure of herself, almost as if she's bracing for Shallan to be deeply offended, despite it being a great idea (from a practical aspect, and in the context of Vorin culture). I think Sanderson is writing Jasnah as a person born in the wrong place at the wrong time. A free thinker in a society of strict conformism. And for what it's worth, her thoughts on marriage aren't unique to a woman with some dark secret in her past. IRL, feminists have often pointed out that marriage was historically an institution that objectified and commoditized women, often in a very explicit way, and many campaigned quite strongly against it. And they definitely had a point. Shallan, on the other hand, is still very much a product of her culture, and sees nothing wrong with an arranged marriage, provided that the guy is a good catch. Sanderson's juxtaposing their very different worldviews to great effect here, much the same way he juxtaposed their religious beliefs in Way of Kings. On a side note, did anyone else get a very strong sense that the Jasnah of the full prologue was a completely different character than the Jasnah of the snippet released earlier? The first version seemed like the present-day Jasnah: confident, in control of herself and her surroundings, always 5 steps ahead of everyone else with at least 2 contingency plans for any situation. The Jasnah of the full prologue, on the other hand, is much less self-assured, rolling with events as they happen. We see the strong person she can be, but we know she's not there yet. It was almost like reading the childish, bratty Moiraine sections of New Spring and comparing her to the poised Aes Sedai of The Eye of the World.

  35. Did anyone else read the Jasnah prologue as Darkness manifesting out of the shadows about to go after her, and in response, she instinctively drew in stormlight and went to Shadesmar? I can't find a link, but I seem to remember that in the Ym interlude, Darkness also manifests out of the shadows. This could make sense - Darkness goes after surgebinders, which she is at this point, even if she doesn't realize it yet. And she is conspiring with assassins, which I'm sure is against the law, even in Alethkar. The reason this would be a big deal is that the two candidates for Darkness are the Heralds Nalan and Kalak, and of the two, Kalak is the one with the Transportation surge, which we know works with Shadesmar and shadows.

Dalinar wants Jasnah's input and involved Navani because Jasnah was not at the Shattered Plains. I am sure that Jasnah has shared more with her mother than she shared with Shallan on paper. Chances are that Navani knows the soulcaster is a fake. She may have even helped Jasnah create it. (How the *bleep* would you solder with one hand?)

  41. I'm 99% positive that Selian magic relies heavily on a person's cognative/spiritual national identity. They can only use the forms associated with the region of their heritage. Galladon has some Arelon blood, so that counts as a spiritual connection in my book. So, a Selian would not be able to replace their forms with substitutes from a different region unless their Identity were rewritten.

  42. I agree with Moogle. I recall the WoB saying that it would be very challenging to use AonDor outside of Arelon. This implied to me that it was possible. The AonDor that Raoden used in Teod was based on Arelon's geography. Thus using those symbols, it would function only in proximity to Arelon. The idea presented by Alaxel is more that a new base for the Aons (other than Aon Aon) could be used in other regions and even worlds. So, in the case of Elendel, this would be something on the order of concentric circles and four lines which intersect each other at the center of the circles. This is similar to how several of us have theorized that forgery could be adapted by altering the last seal marking (which Shai describes as resembling MaiPon).

  43. Oh man. There are a lot of stakes riding on my gamble. What's a better thrill than risking life? *Now that Gambles ceremoniously sobered up earlier, he is hitting the booze with a vengeance.* "If we're gonna behead a man again, even if he's spiked or not, I wanna be black-out drunk! Who wants to bet I can't finish this bottle in one chug?!" Gotta love a man who stays in character though, right?

  44. The great risk here is the king liking so much of Shallan remarks that he name her the new Wit, and the boy like a good laugh. I really hope that she make sport of some Alenthi nobles. Indeed Adolin like of funny ones, let see what happen. I was i little suprised when she jumped in the engament with him head first and smile all the way, I think that Brandon nevee like the shy princess trope very much (Warbreaker princess prove this very well) and If she take some levels in Badass with Jasnah she could very well wrap the Kholin brothers in her little finger. ( that seems like a real possibilty). I confess that Shallan are a little anoying in my first read but after I readed 4/5 times this book (What ?! I'm waiting WOR for 3 years) now I think that she have potential. By the way if Hoid returns would be nice to see the Master making short work of the Ginger smartass, man I really like this book =)

  45. So in no particular order: 1) I want there to be more to the powers of the Windrunner's than the three lashings. Don't get me wrong, I really love the powers Kaladin has now and my imagination runs wild with possibilities often, but I do want a little more as he experiments and says more ideals 2) I want Kaladin to say another Ideal. I don't think that there will be more than one though as this is a pretty long series. 3) I want Kaladin to challenge Amaram to a duel. When he beats him by subtly using his Windrunner abilities, spare his life but take the shards. Then give the blade to Renarin and the plate to Dalinar. 4) Different magic system battle the WoB hinted at toward the end of the book. 5) More information about the Worldhopper organization, the 17th Shard. 6) More info about the Ghostbloods, A lot more. 7) Shallan story arc. I only enjoyed her character towards the end of WoK but that was because she was masterly developed as a character. Now that she's at a place where I enjoy reading about her I am thoroughly looking forward to her back story and modern story. 8) I am interested to see what role Taln will play as the Herald who didn't give up (even if he didn't really have a choice) and as the Herald of War 9) The almost inevitable Szeth vs Kaladin battle. This will be epic. I cant wait to read about when Szeth crashes through some hall doors and lashes him self to the wall or the roof and then all of a sudden there is this man with scars on his forehead and a very distinctive glow, standing on the wall/roof blocking his path.

  46. I am so excited about the chance to finally be relevant in conversation! Anyway, no. I still haven't seen the film, and I can follow the game just fine. At first, I did find it a bit difficult to follow, just because of the present tense style, but I've gotten used to it. The first couple of sessions don't really dwell on the "Transformers suplex Godzilla" part of the Pacific Rim pitch, instead building up the world and characters. Whenever the more alien stuff starts to appear, it's in a pretty gradual and easy-to-follow manner. So, yeah, you don't need to watch anything, just follow the links.

  48. A contract that are void if Adolin say "I don't like gingers". Dalinar let his sons choice in this matter he wouldn't force Adolin if Renarin are a best match. I'm not against Adolin and Shallan, In true I believe that Adolin need calm down a bit in the women department, the dude looks like to be in the heat or something, and Shallan are nice gal. But Renarin give me a Vin X Elend vibe. =)
