dalinar vs the thrill

I got inspired by the scene where Dalinar goes to face the Thrill alone...it created such a strong visual in my mind that I had to recreate it! I hope you guys enjoy!

This is almost exactly how I pictured it in my head when I read it. Amazing work.

I just realized you could look at a larger version of your painting. Freaking awesome! The red lightning looks really good, and I love the wispy path of the Thrill that's coming out to greet it's old friend Dalinar.

The only thing that I can think of that would make this more amazing is some subtly hinted at equine forms in the thrill cloud, I hope you don't mind but I marked up a couple spots where equine forms could be drawn out with minimal alterations to your beautifully painted cloud:

Also, I love that central shadow within the cloud that's circled, it looks like an ominous shadowy figure. Everyone that has photoshop should download your painting so they can zoom in and see the rich subtle detail in the clouds. Again, amazing work.

I`m not reading the comments since I just got OB and don`t want to be spoiled :) ! But this is a great piece of art.

This is amazing! I've been looking for a picture of the Thrill-- the scene was just so powerful that I needed to see it.

You know, most of the time when I see fanart as good as this I find myself that I had a fraction of the artist's talent.

This time, though, all I can think is that there would be no other way to depict this scene.  This is absolutely gorgeous, both from a visual and storytelling standpoint.

Also, I just realized that you are the same artist who did "above the storm".  I'm definitely following you
