	I’ll be putting any of my RP lore, characters, and other information here, saving my about me page for other things. Writing things on here will be sporadic, but I will take requests for information.

	Rebus (last updated 2/4/25)
</p>

<p>
	Rebus is very interesting… He’s close to main-character status, at least to me, so there may be some hedging here. Oh, and I probably have control of everything he does - it’s just method acting.
</p>

<p>
	Appearance: Rebus is fairly tall, handsome, and has a lean, muscular build. He’s got dark hair and orange eyes, which are made endlessly deep with metamaterials. His outfits - in most cases either a long coat over loose, functional clothing or a suit of sleek armor with a more cloaklike coat over it - are black and white, with glowing orange lines at or paralleling the seams enhancing the dynamic silhouette. He’s perpetually surrounded by neigh-invisible utility fog, making the air around him slightly blurry.
</p>

<p>
	Personality: Rebus helps those who ask for it, and has been trying to acquire resources to assist himself and others. He’s sometimes frustrating or confusing, but does his best to be friendly despite what he views to be the failings of his Author. He wants to be written and paid attention too, and has been seeking a legacy of some sort. He often has plans and is prepared for many things, sometimes driving him to act cocky. That being said, he’s fully aware that his Author won’t give him needless plot armor, so he needs to use tools and plans to do what he wants to.
</p>

<p>
	Skills: Narration, knowledge of science and metaphysics, physical enhancement through nanomachines (which includes enhanced speed, strength, and a healing factor), conventionally acquired swordsmanship, mental control system for his technology, ability to read the Thread and say Author tags, hive mind of clones, at least four methods of teleportation, probably some other things.
</p>

<p>
	Significant possessions:
</p>

<p>
	Abstract, an item from the Dreamsmith. It’s invisible and helps Rebus Narrate more abstract things like plot. It also automatically Narrates to defend itself and his possessions.
</p>

<p>
	Utility fog. These practically invisible nanomachines surround him always and form any shape Rebus wants. They are also molecular assemblers, and Rebus is experimenting with constructing them with Nullite.
</p>

<p>
	Teleportion network. Rebus has been handing out and placing (using Narration, so they’re where they need to be) these fist-sized beacons. The fixed beacons are mounted on telescoping poles, and can be used by anyone at the cost of one thing that is theirs (which doesn’t necessarily have to be physical).
</p>

<p>
	A Plotblade. It takes the form of an ornate bastard sword, and its name and powers have not been revealed. Rebus was very happy with getting it, though, and it’s keyed to his own archetype.
</p>

<p>
	Rebus also has so many tricks up his sleeves it’s a wonder there’s room for his arms. He has quite a bit of exotic matter, technology, Narration, allies, and general cunning at his disposal. <br />
	A personal moon converted into nanomachines serves as his base, and a has a high-tech laboratory in the same star system, far enough away that any explosions won’t damage the moon.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Significant relations:
</p>

<p>
	Rebus is friendly acquaintances with many people, including Bacon, Omen, the Dreamsmith, Bat, Tam, Cricket, Shoe, and Ryss.
</p>

<p>
	He’s a partner in crime to the Scribe and Lady Bug. He grudgingly respects many of the more friendly villains, such as Ruia, Atredies, Malevolence, and Desolation, and is willing to work with them if needed.
</p>

<p>
	He’s infuriated a few villains, as well. This number includes the leader of the Malstrom and Ruia’s brother.
</p>

<p>
	There are many copies of him around, most full extensions of his mind. Significantly, one serves as the Narrative security system for Entoturis, and a rogue clone named Rebel has stolen some Narration, some technology, and the Plotblade Cursed Treasure.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	At first, Rebus was annoying, undirected, and poorly characterized. After a brief stint attempting to prank Bacon and the Emperor (among others) by blowing them up and destroying their possessions, creating a relatively successful display of pyrotechnics that ended in disaster, and stewing in anger at his Author for making him poorly, his personality changed drastically and he suddenly became much more likable.
</p>

<p>
	In this new state, Rebus set out to make friends with many people and to gather several magical weapons to prepare for conflict, giving out a great number of quasi-Plotblades (which can be retconned into the possession of characters who missed the opportunity, but are unfortunately cursed). He did several other things as well, but most of it is already mentioned under either relationships or possessions.

	Nick is one of my favorite characters, hailing from a sci-fi story I’m slowly working on. On the Shard, he’s in the Teleportations RP. <br />
	Skills: ingenuity (creativity and xenoengineer training), leadership, advanced biotechnology (bulletproof suit, growth of tools, enhanced and fast healing body), AI assistant SIMON (translation, advice, anything a laptop can do)
</p>

<p>
	Personality: creative, helpful, inquisitive. He represents some of my best attributes, and is always eager to help people and learn things. <br />
	History: hailing from the domain of the Interstellar Intelligent Species Council, Nick’s father was a famous xenobiologist. After some poorly nailed down plot, Nick found a new sapient species on a planet with dragons, and then received xenoengineer training. He was teleported into a desert, half dead, and found by the other inhabitants of the Loop. Teleported with them between different worlds, Nick converted to another religion so he could use magic, received a lightsaber, and was dropped into a volcano, forcing him to reconstitute his body. When they were broken out of the loop, Nick helped to fight off assassins, relieved some railguns, filmed interviews of the other teleported, and attempted to bring the person running the game show to trial.

	Updated as of 1/17/25 (more to come, most likely - I’ll write out longer bios in their own pages, if people want them)
</p>

<p>
	Nick Bryer (Teleportations RP, although he hails from a story I’m writing). Nick is a creative xenoengineer from a futuristic world. As is his job, he solves problems with his own toolbox of biotechnology and anything strange he finds and can put to use. <br />
	Veer (Insanity Clinic). Veer is a powerful telekinetic who entered the clinic because someone had turned his powers unpredictable. Having been cured, he is trying to decide whether to stay and what to make of the magical metal that now serves as his arm. <br />
	Alvar (Bodyguards Wanted). A several generation hybrid with a strange combination of innate magic, Alvar is a mercenary who typically only looks out for himself. He’s combined his magic and athleticism to form a unique combat style using frozen blades he reshapes and sacrifices when they’re no longer useful, though he wishes he had the money to train his sorcery further. <br />
	Cole (Great Spirits RP). Originally a simple carpenter with minor trauma from a ship fire, Cole has been connected to an entity known as Madness. Madness (or Freedom, as Cole prefers) has granted him wind magic, but also made Cole increasingly erratic and socially oblivious. Only his fellow travelers, the last vestiges of reason, and Madness’s instructions prevent him from wandering off into the wilderness or wantonly attacking people. Another Spirit called Calm has connected to him, potentially solving his problems. <br />
	Dr. Warren (RP Ideas RP). An IISC diplomat and manager of the Ferria research station, Dr. Warren wants to make sure everyone is comfortable and everything is running smoothly. She truly loves her job, and is intrigued by the inexplicable visitors, and wants to learn as much as possible from them, and to establish contact with wherever they originated from.<br />
	Kion (TLT). A mage with an odd magic - for TLT, not for his world - every spell Kion casts also strengthens a monster known as a Render, which hunts him always. Although willing to use magic for the greater good, eventually dying because of it, Kion is having an identity crisis due to the existence of Narrators, who make such a sacrifice unneeded.<br />
	Rebus (TLT). A Narrator, Rebus utilizes advanced technology at every opportunity and embodies - exaggerates, really - his Author’s creativity, fascination with Sci-Fi, and cleverness, as well as flair for the dramatic and lack of attention span. He altered his own personality to suit his goals, and currently has several parallel machinations running.
</p>

<p>
	Template (TLT). Template is something odd, and still somewhat of a mystery. They have no details or identity unless it is given to them. Either mundane description or Narration can change them, but over time, changes evaporate. They can also steal or accidentally become affected by Narration. Mess with them, please; the whole point of the character is to make me better at improvisation. <br />
	Sagerian (TLT). Nicknamed Sagerian for his scholarly tendencies, he’s travelled to the main area of TLT to write a book of all the wonderful things he finds, then bring it back to his almost-industrial homeland. He knows some advanced science from travelers from other realms, but wants to know more.
</p>

<p>
	Meat the Minstrel (TLT). Some of Bacon’s lost memories made contact with a terrible idea, and Meat was born. He’s a walking fever dream, making everything around him absurd and somewhat disturbing. He can be summoned by saying “drab eht nocab” three times. <br />
	Capt’n Exposition (TLT). A strange man who rides around on a frost whale, explaining lore and context to all the lubber, land or otherwise. <br />
	The Mysterious Ball of Darkness (TLT). Nobody has talked to it yet, but it’s interesting. <br />
	The other mysterious ball of darkness (TLT). Rebus performed an ill-advised experiment with Nullite, and made a floating ball of nanotechnology and Ennulling energy. Lightning arcs towards it, for as of yet unexplained reasons.
</p>

<p>
	Fourth (Drominad Hunger Games). After the former GM Third died, Fourth has taken up the mantle of wildlife coordinator. He’s inherited his predecessor’s job, Aviar, drastic change in attitude upon becoming a GM, and uncanny ability to manage all the wild animals. He’s dedicated to seeing which tribute should survive, and envies his fellow GMs for their own control over the Games.
