  1. ...or an Awakened blender. Would an Awakened blender attempt to turn everyone it met into a smoothie? The shield I don't know, but I'm guessing the pen would tell you everything. Absolutely everything it knew. Down to what it's like to be chewed on by a dog. Hey, it's all knowledge, right?
  2. Best spy/thief/assassin ever. You could infiltrate everything-- why, you wouldn't have to infiltrate at all, just get in!
  3. Mathematically speaking, you would have to burn the metal at a negative rate-- and you'd be better off with cadmium, because you can only get time reversed at the same speed with bendalloy. I doubt it's possible, however, to burn anything at a negative rate. Now, here's where I go into time-travel physics. Keep in mind that this understanding is from one documentary. There is a concept called a light cone. It looks like a four-dimensional version of this: \/ * /\ The asterisk is the 'event'-- in this case, our allomancer. The bottom cone would have a cross-section of all the space that could have affected our allomancer, broadening as the length of time until the event increases. The top cone is what our allomancer can affect-- and that cone right there is the key to time-travel. The current theory is that if you want to go backwards, you have to approach a black hole, and the gravity will turn around your light cone until the past event you want to go to is within it. Approaching a black hole, however, is not a good idea. Thinking of time manipulation as it relates to light cones is pretty simple-- it'll broaden or narrow the constraints of your light cone. So, theoretically, you could go back in time if you broadened the light cone enough that the past was within it.
  4. Kaladin Stormblessed stormed through the storming storm, storming after the storming Stormfather and storming low on storming Stormlight, the storming Stormfather as storming elusive as the storming Stormlight; and while he was storming tired of storming after the storming Stormlight and Stormfather, the storming highstorm stormed on, and so Kaladin Stormblessed stormed on as well. Twenty-five, by my count.
  5. What else would a sword do? There's always evil. A monster isn't the only form of evil. Look at Earth. It is perfectly reasonable to create a sword that destroys evil. If it destroys evil, then it won't destroy good, nor serve evil. Besides-- how old is Nightblood? There might have been more obvious evil then.
  6. Going off what Shai said about Forging, I don't think it matters how many people are convinced the fish can talk. If Vasher convinced the fish it could talk, however...
  7. The Deltora series, written by an Australian, was converted into an anime.
  8. So, nobody interested that Adolin might be wearing a woman's Shardplate?
  9. He read it at the Cincinnati signing. I don't believe it was recorded but here are the details I recall-- Female Radiant in Shardplate that resembled Adolin's Spren that don't act like they should-- looks like a shadowy figure with red eyes, has a 'servant' that looks like a shadowy face with red eyes Fortress made entirely of obsidian in the Purelake
  10. Or ones whose weakness is proximity to oxygen.
  11. The board description spells 'dystopian' wrong.
  12. Alcatraz is first-person. Cody. Just... Cody. I absolutely adore him. David's bad analogies reminded me of Alcatraz, which I personally loved. On that note, Megan reminded me a lot of Bastille too. Personally, I liked the eccentric curses. Slontze in particular fit into the feel quite well. I managed to predict Prof and Megan being Epics, and it was fun to notice the Reckoners' guesses at Steelheart's weakness echoing the thread here.
  13. Also, kindly assume that we can, in fact, trust anything we hear about this. If we can, then Al's getting tied to that altar in Book Five and sacrificed for his Oculatory abilities. A clever stooped Al move would be to give Bastille his oculatory abilities, so at the very least the Librarians wouldn't have the Lenses. EDIT: I asked if Bastille could become at Oculator at a signing, and he said that it would be very difficult, but it is possible.
  14. Everyone's favorite teenage knight, armed with an exploding teddy bear.
