  1. Thanks for the information. That was interesting to read.
  2. Sorry if this is answered somewhere else. I did a forum search and a web search but nothing came up. Twice now Brandon has mentioned his assistant Adam in a blog post. I didn't notice where Adam came from. I though Peter was Brandon's assistant. Does Brandon have two assistants now, or did Peter move onto a different job?
  3. Mr T. could not have created Szeth as a truthless. I thought Mr T found out about Galivar's visions around the time of Galivar's death. Mr T then put in motion going to the Nightwatcher and then the Diagram was created when he was super smart. So the Diagram probably happened after Gavilar died. Szeth was already truthless by that time.
  4. My questions is who will be Odium's champion? Is Szeth now good and no longer Odium's champion? I am not so sure about that because Nalan doesn't seem that nice of a dude. Also will Nalan keep taking out surgebinders now that it is too late and the Everstorm and Storm form Parshendi now exist. Also Taravangian, will he turn good and try to follow Dalinar and the Radiants? After all, his attempt to "save" mankind was inspired by Gavilar's visions. Now that Dalinar has had those visions (assuming Taravangian finds out about them) will he follow Dalinar or maybe try to use Dalinar for good in the Diagram? Honestly it is hard to figure out who the bad guys are in this book. I guess he is making sympathetic bad people where you understand where they are coming from (I hate and love that at the same time). Does that mean Odium's champion will be tricked into being the "bad" champion? I really hope Szeth turns good and is not Odium's champion. That guy needs a break. After all isn't he supposed to destroy evil now. Going after people in his homeland doesn't seem that non-evil.
  5. More foreshadow that Adolin will be a KR. After this first fight in WoR he feels "drained". Brandon uses the drained term after Shalan and Kaladin are tired from using Stormlight. Plus the fight was not normal. For some reason he switched to that other stance. Could be the influence of a spren. Can Adolin pull stormight from his shardplate though? I thought it was hard/impossible to do that while the plate was intact. Maybe not though. Elokar might have cracked his shardplate gems by drawing on them in Way of Kings (heard that last idea from someone else on the forums).
  6. I may be the only one that thinks this but I do think that the Parshmen are the voidbringers or part of those forces at least. I think they are scared of their God because it is Odium and he takes them over when he is there, or perhaps forces them to a certain song so that they attack. I think that the Parshendi killed Gavilar because he told them that he was going to free the Parsman and somehow that act would have attracted Odium. Perhaps when the people enslaved the Parshendi the Kights R. gave up defending the common people because they did this terrible act. This probably belongs on that other thread but I think that the Parshendi are living in or on the ruins of Urithiru. Perhaps Odium is blind to something in those ruins. That fish guy said thst you could only talk about their Gods freely when in a sacref cave. Perhaps the rock or rock with a high level of gems, maked it hard for the Gods to hear people. Last crazy theory, something had to shstter the plains. Perhaps Urithiru floated in the air and when the Knights R. left because the people were so bad (making the Parshendi slaves), the city fell and broke the plains.
  7. I wanted to throw some theories out there. Forgive me if these has already been posted but I have not seen all of them somewhere. First I think that Cultivation is the big face in the storm. I don’t think it was Honor and I definitely don’t think it was Odium. Dalinar’s dreams were more wrote and looking back it make sense that they were “recorded” in the past. I think that the big face in the storm is still living and it makes sense to me that it was Cultivation. The question I have though is that it makes more sense that the storms are cause by the remnants of honor like the mists were Preservation) but Cultivation appearing in Honor’s storms don’t make as much sense. I still think the face is Cultivation. Also I read somewhere that Cultivation is older so the old magic that Dalinar visited and lost the memory of his wife probably came from Cultivation although it is a pretty nasty spell so maybe it comes from Odium I also think that only Cultivation, Honor and Odium have been on that planet but that Odium is not currently on the planet. I know some people think that there is another, a third (and Odium is not the third) because of a quote from Brandon Sanderson. I don’t know where I saw the exact quote but the way it was phrased it made be believe that at some point in time there were three shards on the planet and Odium being there, then leaving would fit the way Brandon Sanderson said it. I also think that Odium takes over the Parshendi to make them become voidbringers. Much like Ruin took over the Inquisitors, I think Odium takes over the Parshendi through their songs. That is how he controls them and they become like automatons. Perhaps in that last desolation they were not only able to beat the voidbringers but someone kill their songs. Maybe that is what brought Honor down, when they did someone so dishonorable as stopping the ability for Parshmen to sing songs. (Oh, the singing songs reference comes from the latest reading by Brandon Sanderson when he reads a passage from the point of view of the Parshendi) I also think that the Radiant Knights abandoned the people once they decided to take the Parshmen as slaves. That is why they abandoned the people, because the people had no honor and there was no sense in defending them. Perhaps that is what allowed Odium to kill honor, when honor’s people created slaves and the Radiant Knights left. So I think that the Heralds go somewhere to keep Odium off of the planet. They fight to keep Odium’s affect off of the planet and from taking over the Parshmen. The Herald that appeared means the Odium is back or that his influence is now back on the planet and the Parshmen are about to be taken over again. - Shardless
