I sew stuff, and by stuff I mostly mean cloaks. I also do theatre. I act, and I do productions. I love to juggle and tell horrible puns. My favorite authors other than Brandon are Patrick Rothfuss, Robin Hobb, Terry Pratchett, Robert Jorden, and Scott lynch.

  1. Thanks. All the art is done by me or my friend Megan. Its a super fun project.
  2. So I go to a weird school. A really weird school. Instead of tests at the end of a semester we have confluence, which is like a science fair except not about science. This year my group is doing a fake aebleskivers food truck. Pretty much we are pretending to make a food cart business then serving food samples in a huge fair like setting. Part of this is to make a Facebook page for our fake business and get a bunch of people to like our fake business. I don't really use Facebook so I have no Facebook friends. I was wondering if anyone here would be willing to like my fake food truck so I can get a good grade or my final project. Anyone can say no or unlike my page with no hard feelings. I just want a good grade in school and am feeling pretty down about this project. Its theme is aebeskivers (danish pancake balls) and Scandinavian mythology. The page has some pretty funny posts with more coming. Thanks to anyone willing to help out. Here is the url to my page: https://www.facebook.com/Scandi-snacks-1718270831782602/
  3. The god beyond is an easter egg. Though I don't know all the times its mentioned. It's a god on Threnoby, Wayne mentions it at one point, and I think there are a few other times it casually gets thrown into dialogue.
  4. While the eleventh metal is in the beginning of the mistborn game book it is less of a prelude for the game and more a prelude for the first mistborn trilogy. While it is rather short I think it has some interesting insights. If you haven't already read it you should check it out. I'm not sure it should be included in your count to 16 as it is really short, but its still a good read.
  5. Or Knock knock Who's there Lopen Lopen who Lopen up this door
  6. The wee free Men by Terry Pratchett, and the following series is perfect for both those age groups. These were my favorite books when I was younger. They are about a girl (Tiffany) who decides to be a witch because something is happening and someone needs to do something. Monsters have started to appear on the chalk, and Tiffany, with the help of the wee free Men ( six inch tall blue skinned kilt wearing, pict-sies) is going to fairy land to sort things out.
  7. When someone at school or work offers you a cookie, and your immediate response is "sure, a nice Hemalurgic spike never hurt anyone."
  8. When you sharply inhale near light bulbs, and walk away disappointed. Not that I have ever done this...
  9. Perfect for using on Brandon Sanderson books. I could bludgeon someone to death with one of those. Using a full lashing instead of a paper weight. Storing feruchemical bronze too go to sleep at night.
  10. That is really impressive! I had enough trouble writing my puny 9 word ketek. I thing the symmetry makes then elegant in a round sort of way. I recently noticed that my first name in almost symmetrical. My first name is Celeste (folly is my middle name), but womens script has no C so my name would be Seleste. It made me super happy. You should finish your 121 word ketek; I would love to read it so would others I believe.
  11. Thanks for linking that thread. It's super cool. If I had known of it before I would have just added mine.
  12. After reading Words of Radiance I was interested in the symmetric design of the names and poetry. Soon after finishing the book I was in a poetry class so I decided to try my hand at a ketek. I am fascinated by the differences between truths and lies after all everthing is subject to perspective. So here is my first attempt at a ketek. Lies are truths that see that truths are lies. What do you guys think? Is it too literal? Does anyone else have a cool ketek or poem for sharing?
  13. I use my crewel art for puning often. It might in fact be one of the reasons I took it up. I've read all the cosmere books, but not all the novellas; My library doesn't have them. I've read rithmitist, the reckoners, the first Alcatraz, and I just finished the wheel of time last week. Happiness to join everyone here.
  14. Yeah, getting stabbed with metal spikes isn't really my thing. Thanks for the offer it's very... Thoughtful.
  15. Hello!! My name is folly. I am not addicted to reading. I can stop whenever I want. I read mostly fantasy and my favorite authors are Brandon Sanderson (which is kind of a given), Patrick Rothfuss, Robin Hobb, and Terry Pratchett ( who my mom read to me before I could read.) I do other things with my life. I am theatre kid at an arts school. I act, and I do production for plays. I also spend a lot of time juggling (picking balls up from the ground.) I sew full circle cloaks and other bits of period dress. I know simple embroidery and crewel. I am super excited to look at ALL the threads, and type things with my fingers. I have fun being alive. I don't want a "cookie." *squints suspiciously* mistrust. I apologize for my horrible grammar. I am working on it. Having orders of words needing of seeking.
