  1. We know that becoming a vessel will expand the intelligence of the vessel, but if the T at that moment is far dumber than the Rayse before either had the Shard, would TOdium be smarter than the T but still dumber than ROdium? It seems like a lot of people are assuming he's still genius T, but maybe this just makes him a smarter dumb T where he is still emotional, sympathetic and not as ruthless at least until the Shards power has more effect on him. While i didn't predict it, i did get it kinda spoiled. I was trying to check the spelling of Thaidakar and google suggested "stormlight archive thakdakar is kelsier" so I didn't know if that was true or just a common theory, but it was in the back of my mind as i read the latter RoW.
  2. I think in addition to this there is some similarity to the Skybreaker oath, where earlier they identify a thing to follow as the law, then they transcend that to become the law. Its almost reversing the earlier oath. Finding a better way to follow the ideal. I'm not sure if I think this is right, but i think its a possibility.
  3. So we know in the False Desolation BAM bound herself to the singers to give them forms of power right? And that is why they were able to remove BAM and turn the singers in to parshmen. We also know that bondsmiths can change the connection of beings by what Ishar did in the fight with the Windrunners. What if they didn't just bind BAM to a prison, but moved their connection from singers to Radiants, and then bound it in a gem so it couldn't do anthing to reconnect. And that connection to a bound BAM is what caused this Reod like state. This could be wrong though, were there any Bondsmiths at the time of the Recreance?
  4. That is a very good point and I should have realized that. Oh well. Edit: I also agree that its unlikely he's a Kandra. Now i just want to know what Brandon meant by that line about him not being noticed more. Maybe just an interdimensional crossover from the WoT and he's actually a Grey man?
  5. I was reading through some WOB recently and came across this. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/331/#e9429 The question at the end got me thinking, and all I can think of is that maybe Felt is a drab. I looked around a bit and did not see this theory discussed anywhere so I thought it might provoke an interesting discussion here. If he was originally born on Scadrial but shows up on Roshar, its plausible he went to Nalthis. We know that drabs seem to get overlooked some due to their lack of breath, and that would make someone a very good scout and spy. Does anyone have any other theories about this?
  6. I have never been certain that it wasn't just an act to get close. If he was genuine, then, yes I like him as well. And you are correct, the evidence is certainly weak.
  7. That seems reasonable. Though Jasnah was going against the Ghostbloods plans, and if he was a true believer in their goals I think its also reasonable that he could genuinely hate her for that. You do raise a good point that I had not considered before though.
  8. That is a good point. I can't think of any off hand that do. Maybe Survivorists would. However Kabsal's description doesn't really fit a Scadrian.
  9. We know that some members of the Ghostbloods are world hoppers, and we usually identify world hoppers by actions that seem odd to the people of the world they are on. While rereading the The Way of Kings, I noticed in a discussion with Shallan after cursing, Kabsal looks up and says sorry as if to the Almighty. Shallan comments about him apologizing to the ceiling, and that if he wanted to talk to the Almighty he should burn a prayer. As an ardent or at least someone raised Veden, I would think he would know this and not have the impulse to speak upwards to a God. This just got me thinking that maybe he was also a world hopper and I am wondering what others think about the theory.
  10. While Adolin has shown a couple instances of remembering those who have been forgotten, in general I don't think he fits the personality required for an Edgedancer. Perhaps another order. Even if he revives Maya I don't think he will actually bond her. I have no backing for this just a feeling.
  11. He is a world hopper. He first showed up in Mistborn as a spy of Elend's. Since most people in the Cosmere don't seem to have an epicanthic fold they are usually mistaken for being Shin on Roshar.
  12. However I did find this in WOB. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/218/#e6734. Based on the voidbinding chart we know there is a one to one correlation between voidbinding and surgebinding. I think you could then imply that stormform is not surgebinding, and neither are the other forms of power. In addition there are differences between the flying Fused and the KR lashings that I don't think a different power source would account for. It seems like it is a different if related power.
  13. Fine if not voidbinding, just how cognitive shadows relating to odium in some way bind with living people compared to how Honor's spren bind themselves. The term doesn't really matter. It's just about how they are opposite of each other yet still similar in form similar to how Ruin and Preservation's give power.
  14. Thinking about the ways that Fused get powers to Knights Radiant I saw an interesting relation. In the case of the Fused, the entity that gives them the power takes control of both the body and the power, where as KR the entity that gives the power also gives up control. It seems similar to how Allomancy and Hemalurgy are related but opposite of each other.
  15. I have another thought on this. At one point (I don't have the exact quote at the moment) the Stormfather says how he hated the humans for what they did in the Recreance but his bond with Dalinar showed him how they were actually not that bad. I forget his exact wording. Perhaps since all the spren that were involved in the Recreance directly died, every bit of information we've had on it so far has been tainted by opinions (either of spren who felt that humans killed their family unjustly or humans who felt the Radiants betrayed their duty). Though as I am saying this I don't know how the Stormfather survived unless he was not currently bonded to a Bondsmith, I guess he could have just "gone stupid" in Syl's words and lost his memory of that time regaining it as Dalinar's bond deepens and he learns more.
