  1. I think I saw a quick mention of this in another thread but the discusion went in a different direction. What is the possibitlie that the Fallen World (and possibly the homeland) is Yolen? When they talk about first settleing "this continent" it would seem that the homeland is on that planet, but its not concrete The Fallen World seems to imply that it is a different local. What Silence's mother says about "The God beyound sending us here to makes us strong" could imply that they are from a different world. The whole God Beyond thing is neat also. Didn't Wayne mention a God Beyond in AoL? The one that made females such good liers lol.
  2. So I'm a little confused about the importance of spike placement. It seems to me that getting a power from a spike dosn't require a unique placment. For example, the 3 bronze burning spikes we know of Vin - in Ear Quellion - in arm Inquisitors - in chest All different places, but get the same power. Pweter burning spikes Spook - upper back Inquisitor - in chest (or it could be the one in their back) Zanes Steel pusing spike was in his chest, I always assumed that the inquisitors steal pushing spike was one of the two in the eyes. I was also thinking about when Vin "push" Human to make another kolos. I didn't get the impresion that he was concerened with accurate placement. So I am leaning twords the theory that when it comes to getting a power it dosn't matter where the spike is placed. Now when determing what power is transfered in a a spike when their our multiple possiblities (mistborn, keeper or a tin spike)than I imagin that placment would be important. It also might be a big deal when making more "complex" constructs like an inquisitor. That same combo of 9 spikes in different locations might have a different out come. A side question, how many spikes does it take to turn you into a construct? The mistborn rpg implies that two human strentgh spikes realy messes you up, but you don't become a construct until 4. If I'm missing something I would love some help lol Thanks
  3. I would do T-shirts for 15 and plushy for 20 or so. I like the "ask me about Hoid" idea for a shirt lol
  4. I have been wondering this, or if a kandra with a blessing could recive a allomatic spike to gain allomancy. Another question, does the attribute have to be the same for it to be a blessing? Could a mistwrath get a human strength spike, a human emotional fortitude spike and than become a kandra with a "mixed" blessing?
  5. I remember reading an interview where Brandon said that Alloy and warbreaker occur around the same time, and Wok occur "several" hundred years later. That would put the manywar about the same time as the org mistborn trilogy (300 years before alloy), right?
  6. I was going with lead because I assumed (you know what that means) that when she burned through the atium her body tried burning the lead and nothing happened. If that was true than burning lead doesn't knock you out like a bad metal does. I wasn't sure if silver would have the effect. another possibility is that Vin's body instinctively stopped burning when the atium ran out, in which case using lead as a cover for the atium wouldn't work. The impression I was getting from the book is that as long as you burn the heavy metals you will be fine, if you didn't use the lead covered atium you would have to regurgitate it so it wouldn't 'pass' through your system.
  7. So Zane coated a bead of lead with a thin layer of atium to trick Vin. Could some one do the opposite, coat a bead of atium with lead, so that stomach acids wouldn't corrode it as quickly? I seem to remember that being on of the issues with atium, you couldn't just swallow some in the morning and not worry about it all day. It would give you a quick initial advantage over another mistborn. I was thinking this might be something that could come into play for the rpg, kinda like when Vin started padding coins. Any one have any other "tricks" that would enhance ones metallic arts?
  8. Thanks :-), I realize as soon as I completed my last post that there has been much discussion about the recipient of the letter, but I'm leaning away from it being Sazed
  9. Odium might have had a reason to shatter the shard instead of taking it up. Maybe he wanted to avoid the long term influence of the new shards on his personality, or maybe it is the influence of Oduim's intent, disdain or hatred of other shards or something like that. Has there been much discussion about the recipient of the letter? I don't know much about DragonSteel, but isn't that world Hoid's homeland, and didn't Brandon say in an interview that Dragons did exist there? "you old reptile" ..... maybe?
