  1. Good job, village! It was close, but you guys beat us out in the end. I enjoyed my first game as an eliminator, even if we did lose in the end. Frankly, I never thought I'd make it this far, considering just how inactive I was compared to the other games I've played in. It was fun playing good while using that information to help with the kills, though. I can't wait to read through the dead doc, and see how they reacted to everything that was happening.
  2. It's been eleven days since I last posted? I could have sworn I'd posted more than that. I've been trying to keep an eye on events here, when I've had the time, but I haven't really had anything to say. From what I can tell, the last few lynches have been the majority of us following one lead or another from one of the more experienced players, and as far as I could tell, adding another vote wouldn't change how events played out. With luck, I'll have time to actually vote this cycle.
  3. Only have a few moments right now, so I'll be brief. I've been checking this thread when I can, but I haven't had the time to make a full post yet. Good job, everyone, but especially Wilson, for catching some of Odium's allies. Do we have any idea how many are left of them? I'm hoping to be able to jump on again tomorrow and post a vote, but I'll have to see how my times works out.
  4. I apologize for not being very active recently. I wasn't expecting to be as busy as I have been this past week. I'm going to try and keep up with the game still, but I probably still won't be on very much. My PM's have died at this point, and I have no real leads, considering most of this game seems to be played off-screen, so I'm going to wait until later this cycle before placing a vote, assuming I even get back on in time to vote.
  5. Wilson, I really, really don't blame you for noticing that I'm not as active in this game as the last two. The reason is simple: college started this Saturday. That's actually one of the reasons I wanted to get killed off in MR8-I wanted to only have to focus on one game at a time. However, it means that I will not be anywhere as active as the last two games because of this. I'm going to try and visit the site at least a couple times a day, and post at least once a day, but I can't promise anything. I don't want to miss out on RL. Beyond that, like Shallan said, I haven't posted in the First of the Sun PM yet. I'm kind of wanting to take the time to RP there, but I'm not sure when I'll have the time. Maybe tomorrow. At a quick glance, I see Kipper, Winter, and Mailliw up as names to vote, and I'm pretty sure they all are tied. I'd rather hear from Mailliw before I vote, though that might change depending on my time/his presence on the thread.
  6. I refuse to completely derail this thread. So, how about some thoughts, in the form of extremely long RP? Resha signed as she limped back into camp, her leg still hurting from where the insane executioner had attempted to stop her by breaking her Shardplate. Though she had feared she would need to use the Shardplate before this...adventure was over, she hadn't expected it to be during one of the daily lynches, and she could no longer avoid the camp. Her fate awaited her. "This has been a stormingly uneventful occasion," she grumbled, ducking under the fabric that blocked the entrance to her study. "I've tried to scour the camp while keeping up with the local events, but every time I think I'm getting somewhere, I'm blocked from entering, or a Brightlady wants to talk to me, or Highprince Dalinar himself notes I've been accused by the others. Nothing for the Shardmark quest. Nothing." The book lying on her desk fluttered open, and Ien rose from the pages, quickly taking his form as a crane. "I told you so." "Really? I can't recall." At Ien's wince, Resha sighed, then sat at her desk. "I keep thinking I see someone following me, in the shadows. No one is there when I look, but... And the Shardplate's destroyed. I have no protection." "Run, Resha. There is nothing here for us." "I can't leave them like this. For one thing, there would be questions. For another, I actually like Highprince Dalinar, contrary to expectations. I can't just go." Ien huffed. "Your death." "I've made contingencies." she said absently, rummaging through the papers on the desk. "Resha will die soon, I suspect, but I won't. Ah! Here we go." She smoothed out a piece of blank paper, then grabbed a pencil about to fall off the desk. "A letter. In Alethi, of course. Not all of them will be able to read it, but everyone should have scribes, at the very least. And I can make sure this gets into everyone's hands, after Resha's death. Or even a little before, if I'm lucky." Ien snorted, but he landed on her shoulder to watch as she began to write. A few hours later, a letter made it into the studies, or even the hands, of many of the Brightlords and Brightladies who had been called upon to find the conspirers. The envelope bore no seal, gave no explanation of what it said, but said only. "Read me." The letter itself read as follows:
  7. RP introduction time. It's kind of long. ...Green feathers, curved beak. Conclusion: Not a chicken, despite name. Theory: The Shin have another name for this species. Proposed Fact: The Alethi call all... Fact: Scraping. In the distance, but coming closer. Rhythmic. Theory: One person, approaching. Nyra set her pencil down, scanning the Plains for the source of the sound. Barely a moment later, someone walked around one of the stones and into view. Nyra smiled, closing her book. Fact: Someone I know. Nyra waited a few moments looking then necessary - fact: not everyone is a Tineye - before speaking. "Raven. I was led to believe that you were on Nalthis. Fact. You are not. Explain." Raven sighed, unbuckling a Shardplate glove and laying on the ground. "No time, Nyra." "But-" "Odium has returned." Nyra swallowed. "Impossible. Fact. Hoid dealt with him. Fact. Odium is gone." "No longer." Raven sat down on the dusty ground, and Nyra hesitantly joined her. "I heard his voice on the wind myself. He has returned. Perhaps in another name, under another form, but he has returned." Fact: They captured Odium's mortal form. Fact: Both Survival and Devotion asked for mercy. Fact: Hoid is not the type to normally give it. The conclusion is... "Theory. He has had help from the other shards." Raven nodded tiredly. "That is the thought, yes." She paused, then glanced away. "I know you are 17th Shard. You know I made Oaths to not interfere. I can not join this matter. You...can." "I can only conclude you do not wish to ask me of this. I do not mind." Raven sighed. "You are a scholar, Ny. A worldhopping one, yes, but you don't have to do this just for me." "If Odium reigns free, we are all in danger." Nyra stood. "Was that all you wished of me?" Raven glanced back towards the direction she came from, then stood as well, handing a letter to Nyra. "I fear I will not survive the night. Stay to see the sun. If you hear of the death of Resha, read the letter and follow the instructions. If not, burn it. In either case, leave this world afterwards. Danger comes here, I suspect." Nyra watched as Raven left once more, leaving behind the Shardplate glove. She picked up the piece, studied it, then dropped it once more. Fact: I have not visited Scadrial in a while. Fact: Nor I have I finished cataloging the species of birds on First of the Sun. Conclusion: I should visit those planets again, soon. Theory: I suspect I will find information on the arrival of Odium no matter where I go. Conclusion: I should look into the matter, before the situation leaves me dead.
  8. Meant to post something earlier this week, but I've run out of time. No RP this round.
