  1. IIRC, the letters are meant to resemble sound waves. An f, for example, is very similar to the p, but the p is somewhat smaller. You also pronounce them in a very similar way. The writing system is a bit like Tolkien's Sindarin in that aspect.
  2. Forgive me for having phrased that wrong. What i meant to say was that I have trouble imagining something not made up of mater being passed on *because something in mater changed. English is not my native language, so bear with me on that. What I meant with my first statement is that I think it's impossible to distribute or pass on something that does not consist of particles (meaning spiritual DNA. Do we have WoB that spiritual DNA exists in terms of particles?) because for something to be passed on genetically, you need particles. I guess I might be wrongly assuming that Spiritual DNA does only exist in the Spiritual plane, but unless it does have a physical form, I don't see how it can be passed on by procreating
  3. No actual proof for this, but maybe being a patron of a Radiant order comes with being able to project your thoughts or memories unto your followers?
  4. Ah, thank you! The whole spirit web/ spiritual DNA confuses the heck out of me. Can't wait to see if we get a peek into the spiritual realm; maybe that might clarify how it's passed on: I have some trouble imagining something not made up of mater being passed on by means of something changing in mater. I hope Brandon will elaborate on how the soul works in the Cosmere
  5. Okay guys, hear me out. I was wondering if there was a way to gain the powers of someone who was a Metalborn by other means than Hemalurgy. Emphasis on was. I`ve always thought that normal metals just burn up, but that when someone burns Lerasium, they somehow absorb it, as in that their blood or that their bones come to consist, at least partly, of Lerasium. I think that blood could be the most likely, since mothers share their blood with their unborn babies, which could be the way Allomancy is passed on. Could it be possible to somehow extract the Lerasium that might still be existent in a Mistborn`s body, and to recycle it? Or should you just consume a Mistborn`s body whole, so just when they`ve died? Also, do we have a WoB on this or this is already a theory? I don`t roam these forums often, so please, enlighten me
