  1. I'm not a super duper hardcore fan, I don't have a whole lot of free time on my hands to study all this but I try to keep up. Anything written here is based on the understanding I have in my head. Also some minor spoilers for background info, if you've read WoR your fine. If your only on WoK, come back later. What I was thinking though is maybe when you are cut it does something to you in relationship to Shadsmar. To my understanding shardblades are spren/dead spren so if they don't physically alter you when they pass through you the first time what do they change. When Shallan soulcasts she asks the object to change so what changes? My theory is that when the object is living the shardblade kills you in the Shadesmar, because things are ever present in all three at once but can also specifically manifest in one particular realm. Also it only burns out your eyes if it severs your brain or spine, organs used to think( hence cognative realm, hence shadesmar). Also there is the weird sun, thingy in shadesmar. What happens if you look directly at it, or even directly away from it since shadows are backwards there? Would that cause your eyes to burn out like staring at the sun can cause permanent damage? Going back to the shardblade changing objects. They always cut physical objects which means spren obviously have the powers to alter the physical realm, hands down, they may need some sort of bond to do major change though... But the thing I really want to point out is it forces the object to change. Am I repeating myself yet? I know this really doesn't relate much to your post or show me trying to prove or disprove your theory, but some of the more hardcore fans might want to look into these ideas if they have not already been brought up ( I don't have time to comb this website to make sure my work is original, highschool life). HAVE FUN!!!
