  1. On the bit with Marsh. I disagree that Kelsier used his power to give Marsh the ability to rip out the earring. He just made sure he had the information he needed to know what to do. Without Kelsier he wouldn't have known to pull the earring out. However, Marsh still needed the willpower to overcome Ruin enough to actually do it. Kesier did not do that, just gave Marsh knowledge needed to accomplish it. I cannot comment on the other two as I did not have a strong feeling for them. As a whole I personally really loved the novella. The whole background cosmere stuff I find interesting. I also like the idea that Kelsier's whole thing of "surviving" even permeated through death. Even death could not kill Kelsier.
  2. I think the name Archive has more to do with how Brandon was going to name all the books. His initial idea was to name each book after an in world book. A collection of books can be seen as an archive. So the collections of these books would be the archive. So Stormlight Archive is the telling of the planet filled with stormlight.
  3. Has it been asked or confirmed if Highspren is a type of spren or a title for a set of spren that have higher authority? I only ask cause I have seen a lot of people refer to them as a specific type, where I took it as more of a title.
  4. Brandon said at a recent signing that the ideal needed to form a Shardblade varies between orders. If I can find where it was said I will reference it. Also you can see this based on the difference in Shallan and Kaladin. As far as we know Shallan got her blade after just the first oath. She gained access to Soulcasting speaking her 1st truth (like her second oath), but she already could use her blade. Edit: Link to signing with answer of shardblade and ideals. Its in the first post under the spoiler tag. Questions for Omaha Signing, 3-13-2014
  5. I didn't think of it as rage. If anything I saw it more as just cold. As something that needed to be done for the good of all. It just wasn't honorable or lawful. Like the calm rational of one life versus the thousands that could be lost. Disturbingly like Amaram actually... Also, Question about Adolin and the Dustbringers is mentioned in the thread: http://www.17thshard...ntris-spoliers/.
  6. As far as Lopen goes, I don't think it was regrowth he was using. I think it was more just the healing effects of stormlight. I assume this due to a comment Brandon made when someone asked him why Kaladin's brands don't heal. He answered that stormlight healing has to do with how someone sees themselves. So if we take this as someone heals to the point where they think they are whole as they see themselves, then Lopen regrowing his arm would be because he has never imagined himself without it. This is what I got out of it at least.
  7. Brandon has said at one of the signings that the Skybreakers would have a real problem with what Adolin did. That he broke some laws and they would not be cool with this. He then went on to mention other Orders would applaud what he did and welcome him into their ranks. The person asking pressed to ask if the Dustbringers would be one such group. Brandon just smiled and half nodded. So its inferred as of right now if Adolin were to join an order it would be the Dustbringers.
  8. Owning any of that would be awesome! Hope for the best!
