  1. Happy to see he is worried about focusing on Cosmere more. Love the side stuff and understand why he likes to do it but I can get that kind of thing anywhere. What I can't get is hardcore Cosmere lore ... Don't want to be 10 years older before we get into the next serious Cosmere series.
  2. I would prefer if future books just left Brade alone and refrain from giving her a redemption arch or exploring her phsyc too much. Some people are just ruined and you don't always know exactly why ... That's what Brade is to me and I'm not interested in going deeper with her.
  3. I like the alien crew better than the original crew.
  4. Startsight was superior in every way except it had a less satisfying ending ... definitely built upon everything Skyward established by a lot though and was very well paced IMO.
  5. What I mean by my comment is that figments could literally be ancient AI. Sort of the end result of AI evolution.
  6. Spensa - Camila Mendes https://www.imdb.com/name/nm6161516/?ref_=nmls_hd Jorgen - Will Poulter https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2401020/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 Cobb - JK Simmons https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0799777/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1
  7. Just finished the book. Really enjoyed it but ugh ... I do feel like there was very little resolution on almost all fronts at the end it was almost all incomplete book Now too wait at least 2 years for the next one ...
  8. Just email Sanderson and tell him you are poor...I bet he sends you a paperback.
  9. Not entirely inconsistent with the other theory that claims Odium ****ed up the afterlife in Roshar system and blocks souls from passing to the Beyond.
  10. Yea, I agree this theory (my theory) is almost certainly not correct. So the higher post is interesting...is it a pure theory or supported in text that the storm father was born out of the recreance through the merging of murdered spren? It does make sense in that the spren of honor then existing and sentient would refer to themselves as Honor's spren/shadow...
  11. The other note is just that if they're all bonded to the Stormfather why limit it to 3? Why not 1 or infinite? The shardblade part makes some sense if it was 1 but...if he doesn't have to be around all the time and form a weapon or protect the human then I'm not sure why there is a limit...unless they're not all bonded to the Stormfather (and if they are 3 different "god spren" then it still makes sense to have no sword just b/c they're so "important" and above that sort of usage). I'll also point out that the Stormfather is kind of a ****. He sent the storm to kill everyone and tried to stop Syl from bonding with Kaladin at the moment Kaladin was going to die. He only bonded with Dalinar reluctantly after (presumably) he had no choice following the spoken words. So ... IDK ... didn't seem like the type to take multiple bonds ...
  12. Just thinking out loud here but why do we know bondsmiths all have the same powers or necessarily work like normal KRs?
  13. Both good points. I had not thought of the idea that the "stormfather" as we know it did not exist until Honor's death (obviously it was deeply shaped by his death but I assumed it existed in some (similar) form before that)...nor did I know about that passage of WoR. Meh...just spit-balling here but these are good points. Bondsmith may be a stretch...but most agree there is something going on with "Taln." Whatever that is, I still think it's something nefarious.
