  1. Perhaps more of huge rechargeable stormlight battery that stores it more efficiently and in larger quantity to supply the city, possibly being charged during highstorms. Also Lift could convert food to stormlight. Food which are not of shard power I believe. Even though the limit to the conversion she can do is unknown, it is interesting to consider the implications.
  2. Id like to think the honorblade can be used on the oathgate, would be unusual if KRs could use it but the Heralds cant. Though theres the matter of the Stone Shamans coming to reclaim Szeth's blade. Are we certain that Urithiru dont get Highstorms? Or was it due to the Weeping not ending yet. Theoretically Dalinar could request Stormfather to provide them highstorms for charging up, though I would think they are just relying on the immigrants to bring in charged gems for now. Jasnah could be on her way back to Urithiru to join them as well.
  3. And Navani will be like "Oh great, She's back." Shalash will like Shallan for a daugter-in-law too.
  4. Shalash will meet her sons and save them from impending doom. Adolin emotions will lead him down the path of a dustbringer!
  5. As evidence in how bk 1 n 2 was written, the major pov characters and associated KR orders dont necessarily reflect the story progression. Dustbringers can and probably have a fair amount of screentime along with other major characters. Considering Dustbringers, skybreakers and windrunners being the combat forces of the KR, I believe we will definitely see much action from each. Basically these representations dont quite reflect how much is revealed for the unmentioned characters/orders, nor do I believe the order of the books to reflect when the character's story are revealed. Edit: Me thinks Brandon has hard time squeezing in KR representatives into 10 books while also wanting to include POV from villians, heralds and whatnot. So he just overlaps and condense some of them to allow for more perspectives other than just the KRs.
  6. If we look at what has been done for the first 2 books despite each book being linked to one KR order and one main POV character, we can see that there will possibly be more secondary/minor POV characters. And unfortunately, the first 2 books doesn't quite focus on their associated KR orders imo. About half of WoK(bk1) reveals Kaladin's story in which only the latter parts reveals more about him being a KR, not much has been revealed about Windrunners per say till WoR(bk2) where Kaladin says the oath and becomes a Windrunner. (We can see despite Kaladin being the focus of bk1, he only develops into a Windrunner KR in bk 2.) In WoR, Shallan's story is revealed as well as her abilities, although not much about her order is explained. Her POV focus on her past story but I still feel there is more to it. Why would her mother want to kill Shallan, why was Shallan able to manifest a shardblade by then. So despite her being the focus, much of her story still awaits developing in other books, as well as what she will be contributing as a KR. I am actually looking forward to Renarin, Taln and Lift more than the rest. But I believe all their story will develop significantly regardless of the book orders. Renarin's background story might seem uninteresting now but I suspect more will revealed together with Adolin's and perhaps their mother(kinda hoping it would be one of the heralds, shalash perhaps?). I am looking forward to Renarin's growth and contribution as a truthwatcher mostly. Taln (which I speculate to be the actual herald in a broken state after Damnation, possibly on behalf of his herald brethen, making his suffering bad enough to break him), the only herald who didnt break his oathpact like the rest. I am keen to know the cause and implications, as well as seeing him recover to his former self and shedding more light on KR matters and the true desolation. Lift I was hoping to be more mature by the time but I wonder if the Everstorm and the true desolation will actually drag for that long. She is mentioned as very important and I hope to see her mature even as a child. I secretly want her to heal the sprens and heal Taln. Exactly. And it makes it harder to speculate the order associated with the major POV focus characters. Also speculating that our heralds will be more involved with the KR rookies, hopefully on their side and not fighting them, maybe some of both, but interesting to find out. I am more inclined to think those two might not end up as KR. And perhaps there are more KRs than just one from each order. Szeth, Eshonai and the heralds could just be POV worthy characters to reveal the different sides of the true desolation. They could be associated with the KR orders without having to be one.
  7. I know Honor(Tanavast/Almighty), Odium(Rayse) & Cultivation(unknown bearer) are 3 different shards of Adonalisium. I didnt define them to be good/evil but I stated I understood Odium & Honor as opposing forces, which is a fair assumption and similar to the shards in Mistborn. If you could link some references regarding how the shards came to their possession or their shardic intent or their relation to one another, would be great, curious to read about those but didn't find much in coppermind/stormlightwiki. So it is possible for the opposing shards to merge but under very special conditions, would we assume that the conditions are met as far as the story goes? Perhaps it comes down to understanding the intent of the shards or the bearers of the shards. So back to topic, fabrials being technology created that manipulates the captured spren and stormlight. Does this technology tap into Odium's powers specifically? Or could it simply be the expected actions of the captured spren when it responds to stormlight. As far as I recall, it appears to be just technology or science. Perhaps the ancient fabrials work differently. (Using shardblades with healthy sprens) Which makes me wonder about soulcasting fabrials, do the non-surgebinder users cross over to shadesmar?
  8. Poor Kal doesn't get much revealed in this reading. Jasnah's part has afew important revelations, implications & potential speculation-worthy info. (Pattern buzz with approval) Upvoted pikachu for standing up for Kaladin!
  9. From what I understood Odium is an opposing force to Honor & Cultivation. Not entirely sure if Cultivation is a neutral force but it seems to align itself to Honor. And according to WoB, most sprens are part Honor part Cultivation. And there are sprens that are from Odium, as well as ancient sprens that exist way before the arrival of those 3 forces. Parshendi's bonding of spren are likely of Odium, at least for Stormform. Not too sure about the other forms. Most of the sprens have not commented on Fabrials or expressed any concern of it, which doesn't say much in itself, but at least they do not seem to hate it. The oathgate, an artifact of the KR (opposing forces of Odium), is an ancient fabrial, so perhaps fabrials are more neutral.
  10. I kinda want him to use the windrunner honorblade and Shallan/Jasnah to work together to revive the blades (since deadspren blades dont activate the ancient fabrials, I wonder what else is significant about it) Theoretically if the spren was healed, it would revert back to its Shadesmar form, the spren would have to go through the selection and evolving bond process again to become a blade assuming it would want to do so again. I wonder what would that accomplish. Some WoB quotes worth considering
  11. Suddenly occured to me that "care" could just mean concern instead of careful. Like how much she cares about stopping the everstorm. But back to topic, if Adolin has used stormlight, some spren would be involved and mentioned at least. Although it could as subtle as Renarin getting perfect vision again..(that red herring about him refusing to wear rather than not needing it.) So I suppose its not too far fetch to think that his "supernatural" instincts to dodge could turn out to be some spren related.
  12. LOL. Yea at least 10 years more to finally complete the series (planned 1.5-2 years for each book). We be much older and still speculating..
  13. Yea I meant that the terms of the contract are invalid as of current events. Everyone knows by now that he is not mad with what happened on the Shattered Plains. So I think Dalinar certainly has the authority to challenge or revoke it, or perhaps get the King to overrule it if necessary. Mainly, Adolin wouldn't and couldn't prove the conditions of the contract to be valid. Dalinar's credibility is strong now or perhaps more so as a KR. Yea patricide is worse but her circumstances were more dire. She would be able to empathize and she admitted as much to Pattern that she considers herself a murderer. The other speculation is rather unlikely but hey, our imagination knows no bounds and maybe no logic!
