  1. Happy birthday! (Praise the Ja)

  2. To clarify, I am not saying that the Hoid we see in the published books is a vessel of Adonalsium. My thought is that the current Hoid's master, the ones who name Hoid says he stole, was in fact the vessel of Adonalsium. Hoid could have rejected the 16's plan in favor of helping his master. I say all of this without having read any of the Liar of Partinel.
  3. So we know that Hoid took the name after his master, the original Hoid, died. Now, from Khriss, we think that Adonalsium was likely a being, and that Hoid (or Cephandrius, at the time) was at the Shattering. I also think that Cephandrius had some sort of relationship with Adonalsium. What if the original Hoid was Adonalsium's vessel? It gives reason for Cephandrius to be at the Shattering without being directly involved in shattering it/him/her. It also has big implications into what he could be doing with his meddling with the shardworlds.
  4. I'm not sure whether it would make a difference in the Cognitive realm, but it is unlikely that Nazh's stool was made in Scadrial, so its metal may not be invested Allomantically like Kel needs.
  5. Did anyone else wonder how far the medallions that the South scradialians(?) could go in effecting other magic systems? The translating metalminds interested me the most. Allik specifically mentioned that the translating medallions cause a person's connection to change to the physical place they are, I could only think of Sel's different magics. Is it possible that anyone could become an Elantrian by visiting Arelon and wearing one of the medallions until the Shaod changes them? Could anyone learn any of the geographically based magics on Sel? I could be missing something big realmatically here, so please discuss.
  6. I see the Truthwatcher oath as being something to the effect of: "I will be a light to those lost in darkness."
  7. It occurs to me that a Feruchemist that can store luck (I can't remember the name, I am a disgrace to the clan...) could tap loads of luck to shoot the bullet in just the right place if he knew what he was doing.

  9. The epilogue of WoR is the day before the Everstorm will hit the continent.
  10. I would go team up with Jasnah. She should be able to appreciate the importance of Cosmere knowledge, and she seems to be one of the most capable characters at the moment. Teaming up with her seems to be the safest idea, while still making a difference on Roshar.
  11. I will put others needs before my own.
  12. I was rereading the Mistborn series, and got to the Battle of Luthadel in WoA. When Vin arrives at the battle, I saw a passage that made me stop and think for a while. (I don't have the paper version with me, so the Kindle location will have to do...) She would defend those who could not defend themselves. I think that this seems suspiciously close to something our favorite bridgeboy said during Way of Kings. Any thoughts? Is Sanderson pulling some big trick on us with all of the ideals? I don't really think so, but it is an interesting coincidence.
  13. I had an idea, and a quick search didn't pop up any results. Since the magics of the Cosmere can kind of be crossed, it seems to me that an Oracle (a gold misting) born in MaiPon would have a lot more power than most Forgers. Shai tells us that an Essence Mark takes about two years to make. However, using gold, you can immediately see what you would be like if you had made different choices. Since this is essentially what Essence Marks do, I think that a person with both Forging and Gold could make Essence Marks in almost an assembly like style. Any ideas on if this would work or not? If it would, you could have a very powerful Forger out there.
  14. You know you're a Sanderfan when you take a hot, steamy shower in the morning and get scared because the mists aren't supposed to be able to come inside.
  15. You know you're a Sanderfan when you get a huge adrenaline rush/really nervous when you post a theory on the forums.
