  1. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh That makes so much more sense now! Thanks
  2. Eshonai's death definitely shocked me the most, because I had the (probably misremembered) idea in my head that there was a WoB on book 4 or 5 having Eshonai as the flashback character. Can't find it now though
  3. I actually find this theory very compelling; even if it only gives someone a temporary feruchemical benefit, WoB says that invested powers are caused by holes being torn in the spiritweb, and the more investiture you draw, the wider the rip gets and the better you are wih said power (as happens with allomantic savants). Maybe Hemalurgic acupuncture could expend a significant amount of Feruchemical investiture via needle (e.g. a month's worth of sight) in order to tear the hole for the investee and let them access that aspect of ruin/preservation/harmony themselves? Not to sure on the process described, though that doesn't particularly matter. I get the gut feeling that storing the idenity away from your needle and making it identity neutral first might be crucial to the process. (using mobile atm, i'll try and quote WoB later)
  4. So if i understand correctly, the Julia set is chaotic in contrast to the Fatou set, which is ordered. ...is there any chance that one of the other landmasses/planets/Shadesmar locations in the Cosmere corresponds to a Fatou set, thus indicating it to be either diametrically opposed or linked to Roshar? And just when i thought I'd STOPPED going mad over this problem.
  5. Pretty sure Kaladin HAS to get over his light eyes prejudice pretty damnation soon, seeing as his third ideal requires him to protect them, plus the fact he is a lighteyes now. Also Adolin has replaced Moash as his best buddy Kaladin's free to play the field.
  6. A Fabrial that has the same effect as burning brass/zinc? Such a thing has been referenced in the Ars Arcanum iirc.
  7. I'm pretty sure Cusicesh is more than just a quirky normal spren; it's huge, it's one of three unique spren we know of (excluding the unmade, which we really have not enough info on) and Brandon gives it a whole interlude. Cusicesh could well just be an example of super spren, instead of the third and final one, but it's definitely not a normal spren.
  8. I think grey/colour drainage meaning lack of investiture is absolutely correct, but it's a moot point because we got about two pages of Szeth after he died, wih no mention of appearance. Although i am now REALLY curious about a lifeless inhaling stormlight/being bequeathed extra breath/ drawing investiture from Feruchemical nicrosil they stored during their lifetime.
  9. I thought the Lastclap was only possible because of the weight of the blade made it less momentous, not the speed. But that's not really important.
  10. The fact that she "helped" could be indicative of actually being shardbladey. Or not. Either way, every shardblade is a dead spren, and pattern says thousands died, yet tWoK claims there are nowhere near that many blades ( that we know of). Maybe another way for spren to die? Good spot though, I'd love to see where this goes.
  11. To the best of my knowledge, Renarin had the blood weakness before age 6- hence the no training thing. It just seems a little unlikely that he bonded glys that young, although the bond probably did cure his thing once he got it.
  12. Nightblood demonstratably doesn't force anyone to its purpose unless they're weak-willed; Szeth, having committed atrocities that he finds detestable simply to keep his oath of servitude, is not weak-willed. Nin knew this, and it was why he chose Szeth to be a Skybreaker- because he knows he can handle Nightblood.
  13. Renarin DID have a "blood weakness" (probably epilepsy) since childhood. It's why he didn't start training at age 6 like Adolin did, and why Dalinar wanted him to pursue scholarship in the Ardentia.
