  1. I would love to add this to my Cosmere collection!
  2. Of the 3 questions I asked about the Cosmere, the first 2 were "soft-RAFO'd" - he gave a very vague answer that technically answered the question, but provided absolutely no information: Have we seen any characters who share, or will share, the same Orders of the confirmed KRs (he thinks so) What is the sphere of influence of Shards (it varies)
  3. Now that I know I won't be the only creepy adult in a kids bookstore, I'll be there! Thanks for the heads up. Now I need to figure out what to buy from a kids bookstore...
  4. Remember, though, that Pattern has a very loose definition of lies -- anything that's not a literal truth is, to him (and likely all Cryptics), a lie. This includes sarcasm, exaggeration, and even drawings. So the lies that attracted him when she was younger might just be her art, assuming she drew more than just Memories.
  5. Well that's interesting. I wonder whether the first one was a mistake, or implied something deeper - perhaps that the bond that a human makes with a blade is different from the bond a Herald makes with the same blade. Except in the Prelude it specifically states that if a Herald dies, their Honorblade disappears - which didn't happen to Jezrien's Honorblade when Szeth died while wielding it. This tells me that the bond of a Herald and Blade is...I don't know, stronger perhaps...compared to that of a human and Blade. Of course, the difference might not be in the bond between user and Blade, and instead is a difference in the user themselves -- since the Herald returns to Braize when they die, they're not truly dead, and perhaps the Blade recognizes that.
  6. Good catch on those details. However... Unfortunately, we don't get a description of the color of Jez or Kalak's eyes in the Prelude -- since the Honorblades were made (specifically?) for them, it's possible their eyes aren't affected in the same way. To expand on this - we know (WoB) that you can't bond an Honorblade (source). We also know that when the one who owns the Honorblade dies, the blade disappears. From there, and knowing that Szeth's (Jezrien's, more accurately) blade did not disappear, the "bond" between the bearer of the Blade and the Blade is different from that of the Owner of the Blade and the same. It's possible that this extends to the effects on the eyes.
  7. Do we know that it's the Honorblade that causes the eye color change for Szeth, or the use of the abilities gifted to him by the Blade? Plus, in WoK, 'Taln' has brown eyes, which might be the color associated with Talus (the stone is Topaz, but that isn't enough to determine the associated color).
  8. Any theories on where the Stormfather-spawned Highstorm is at this point? Obviously if the Everstorm has passed this point already, this won't be the next point of collision of the two storms, but it'd be good to know how long Kaladin has before getting access to more stormlight.
  9. TheKingOfCarrotFlowers, perhaps, but I would argue that saying the words is him accepting the identity as a Windrunner.
  10. Thanks Weiry! I suspect that once Kaladin's bond with Syl is complete, his eye color will change permanent. Each order of the KR had different colored eyes, related to their order/essence, and it seems unlikely (especially considering the progression in fade time for Kaladin's eyes) that that was just the case while they were holding Stormlight.
  11. I think it'll be July 3rd: https://www.facebook.com/ahlstrom.peter/posts/10201068642038666?comment_id=10201072081524651&offset=0&total_comments=19
  12. Thanks NutiketAiel and Ailessar. I called them up last night and RSVP'd after seeing that.
  13. Plus, there are Void(Odium)-spren, and Cultivation-spren, neither of which have been shattered.
  14. I'm planning on making it. @Ailessar Is this a ticketed event? How would one go about RSVPing for it? I'm about an hour north (Allentown), so, it'd be nice to know ahead of time. Thanks!
  15. I would love to win a copy of Brandon Sanderson's latest amazing work.
