I first heard of Mr. Sanderson through the WoT series, which I thought he had done a fine job wrapping up (but I was a little burnt on). I reluctantly picked up the Way of Kings book on CD at my library and listened to it. I was hesitant at first because I was afraid that it would be some WoT knockoff. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed it so much that I bought WoR, new in hardback. (I can't remember the last time I bought a new hardback at full price) Excellent book! Much better than Game of Thrones or any other fantasy series I can name off the top of my head (although I can't put my finger on why). I actually had to read a couple of other books while reading WoR so I wouldn't finish it so quickly. Alas! The deed is done. Now what do I do? Guess I'll have to start the Mistborn series. Till the next one comes out. (although to be fair that's not ridiculously long. It just feels like it.). Enjoy having easily accessible books you haven't read yet.
