I'm making a song.

Hey everyone,

I've been making music of a personal nature for a while now and I had this idea a while back to make a song inspired by this amazing series. I wrote this track and recorded it but I could never be satisfied with it so I decided to share this rough version of it with you all on a private link instead of putting it aside to collect digital dust and be forgotten.

They told me honor is dead and it’s all odium instead,

They say that armies of red march for misery to spread,

They say storms are ahead, lighting eager to shreds,

I see the children in tears while we surrender to dread,

I mourn the meaningless wars and the blood I have shed,

And I am crippled by guilt for those I could not protect,

brothers and lovers alike. Friends. All of them dead,

And here I am I’m alive the only spear in their stead,

What of the books I have read and  the life I could have led,

What of my father’s Ideals that he failed to embed,

Within my radiant heart and my darkening head,

I was enslaved for my valour and left to dye with no friend,

Still it was hope that i’ve spread, still i tried to defend, 

Still they followed me on carrying a bridge to amend,

Knowing each step that we took, brought us close the end,

And when our bridges were set we prayed our souls would ascend.

She said your pain is necessary, weaker people never dared,

Weaker people never spared a moment feeling impaired, 

Weaker people never cared what their soul have declared.

Be the light expeditionary nova when flared.

Storm light expeditionary. ready to die,

That’s goodbye to the bridges, let us conquer the sky,

We’re the one who defied, so together we’ll rise,

We are one and the same despite the colour of eyes,

I’ll take all of your pain, let be my demise,

I’ll wear my duty, let it be my disguise,

I saw too many die, old, youthful or wise.

I saw the powerful kill for protecting their lies,

So I will live to protect, Even those i despise

It is life before death and I won’t compromised,

And strength will come before weakness even tries, 

That’s what I realised, Its the journey you span,

That will make you a man, the destination second hand,

A new era’s began, so trust my command.
