I'm already naturally very quiet and hard to notice, so this would make the perfect thief/assassin/sniper (etc) as no one would notice you and you can sense everything... Not only would I gain the ability to emotionally manipulate people (MWAHAHAHA), I could compound mental speed. Math would be a breeze! I feel that the ability to vary your pushes and pulls by flaring the steel then varying your capability to burn steel would be extremely useful. You could literally be super determined, very productive, always on top of your game. Bored? Compound Electrum and become super determined to finish the boring task really quickly.
