It's time for....

"Would you rather..."! (Brandon Sanderson theme)

I'll start the first one but feel free to come up with anymore!

Would you rather... spend one hour running, with no weapon, through the chasms with a Chasmfiend chasing you?.... OR.... spend ten minutes standing in a highstorm with very little armor?

You all will probably be able to come up with better ones but, there it is...  :)

Aluminum Gnat, no question. You can still burn stuff (and if I recall correctly savants can purge their bodies of poisons) and you don't get all weak and sickly from having no soul.

Would you rather have a battle of wits with Wit or Lightsong?

I would like to be a Drab, you can get more Breath later.

Would you rather be Skaa or Noble?

Would you rather join the Pahn Kahl rebellion or the Skaa rebellion?

Would you rather follow the Path of Harmony or Survivorism?

I'd probably thrive more in the nobility, but the moral ramifications of skaa treatment... that makes me question what I'd want.

Skaa rebellion has more moral impetus.

Harmony. It's the Cosmere religion that makes the most sense for that context.

Would you rather constantly store tin or zinc?

Tin. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Zinc Mental Ability? I would rather be effectively blind/senseless than have difficulty thinking straight. Could you, when not thinking at all, make use of what you see, anyway? ;) Plus, if you stored it so much that you couldn't think, would you ever be able to get out of it?

Would you rather give Shallan your boots and march across the Shattered Plains, or suffer a fortnight in pre-Kaladin Bridge 4?

I'd give Shallan my boots. Sure, marching across the Shattered Plains barefoot would hurt, but I spent a lot of time barefoot growing up. I've even been barefoot in Arizona during its infamous 110-degree summers. I could find a way to handle it. Pre-Kaladin Bridge Four might break me.

Would you rather dis Steelheart's cape to his face, or lick peanut butter off a catacomber's foot?

"When people see that cape of yours billowing in the wind, they know that they are staring at an Epic who fears nothing."

See? Stealth insults are the best.

Would you rather attend a Bible study with Obliteration or Regalia?

Said Kobold moments before Steelheart caught on.

Um….neither? :o Okay, okay, if I had to pick, I'd go with Obliteration. Yes, he's a mass-murdering psychopath, but I think that underneath Calamity's corruption, he really does want to seek and find the truth. There might—might—be a way to get through to him. Regalia only cares about being right, and gloating about being right. There is nothing edifying about a Bible study led by someone like that.

Would you rather spend three hours listening to Kaladin sulk, or five hours listening to David's similes?

David's similies at least I can make fun about those. :P

Would you rather be turned into a Steel Inquisitor or an Epic?

Call me squeamish, but I'd have to say Epic. Granted, I'm no expert on Steel Inquisitors, but thinking of all those spikes gives me the heebie-jeebies. Although becoming an Epic would definitely be traumatic (and dangerous), if I knew it was coming, I could lock myself inside a bank vault, or make sure it happened out in a field somewhere in rural Wyoming, to minimize the damage. Yeah, those poor cows would never be the same…but better some dead or traumatized cows than dead or traumatized people.

Major Firefight spoilers:

Besides. I already know my greatest fear, so there's at least a chance I could face it. Knowing is half the battle, anyway.

Would you rather eat nothing but Vorin women's food, or Idrian cuisine for the rest of your life?

And I've talked to you enough that I could probably figure it out, so worse case scenario I could help lock you in a room with your weakness until you stop screaming death threats at me.

Vorin women's food, because I like fruit and I adore sweet-and-sour sauce.

Would you rather shift into a different Parshendi form every time you sneeze, or be incapable of distinguishing spren from muffins?

You're a good friend. I'm saying that now in case Calamity does rise and I wind up locked in a fallout shelter with my weakness. I just want you to know that before I scream death threats until my throat goes numb.

Shift every time I sneeze. Might help me get out of class picture day ;)

Would you rather have Kobold over at your house for a day or Twi?

Why can't I have both? Those two are to awesome to decide against one... seems I'm sitting out this round.

Kobold, simply because I'm a guy and would be much more incredibly awkward around Twi. :P

I'd bring a game of Apples to Apples and do my best to play it the way Funtimes would, if that helps. (Actually, I pretty much always play it the way Funtimes would. I once matched "salads" to "furious" and "Jack the Ripper" to "awesome.") ;)

Ooh, this'll be soooooo much fun! We can do each other's nails and giggle over plots to gain upvotes! And then a pillow fight! And then something something mutual bonding and respect!

I'm glad you chose me. Sometimes spending time with girls can be sooooo awkward, amirite?

:P

Umm..... not really sure what a Shade is so I guessed I missed something? So....... Mistwraith!  :D

Would you rather be an Allomancer stuck on Sel, or an Elantrian stuck on Scadrial?

Well allomancy works everywhere, but if elantrians even get away from Elantris, their power diminishes greatly.

Would you rather be a parshendi, or a kandra during TLR's rule?

A Kandra, that personality changing stuff just creeps me out and as a Kandra I can at least retire after a certain point.

Would you rather wear warrior lenses or be a full Occulator?

Kandra. I'm better at secrecy than fighting.

Would you rather be a Reod Elantrian, or injured while whitespine hunting?

Haha, I'm now a ninja.

Be a Reod Elantrian, I know how to fix that condition.

Edit: and then I got ninjaed, so... new one.

Would you rather bond a Spren of an Order that doesn't fit you or not bond one at all?
