The Wheel of Time - Biker Edition

So we had a conversation on the forum about what the Wheel of Time would be like if it was set in a biker world. It ended up escalating and worked so well we thought it was worth its own thread :D/>/>/>

*SPOILERS UP TO THE DRAGON REBORN (BOOK 3)*

A new darkness has arisen. Telamon, head of Dragon inc. has been assassinated by Ishamael, a businessman notorious for his felonious transactions. The corruption in the area means he is safe from the law, but everyone knows who is really answering to: Shai'tan, the most evil motorbike manufacturer CEO (of Shadowspawn inc.) there ever was, locked up since the moment of starting his business with his twelve most evil executives. This feud goes a lot deeper than a simple corp. clash: it is actually the clash of two biker gangs: the dragons and the shadowspawn, who grew into bike manufacturers as their influence grew. The Bike Wheel of Time rolls as the Bike Wheel wills, and Rand Al'Thor, son of Telamon, must be sure not to fall off.

Twenty years later, Rand is heading to town for a pint with his two friends, Mat and Perrin, when he sees a biker dressed in black on the road, who then disappears. He talks about this biker with Mat and Perrin, who say they also saw him. Rand wishes to speak further about this, so leaves the pub in order to get away from the awful cacophany of Thom Merrilin, undoubtedly the worst musician in the area. When stepping outside, he is greeted by a fearsome biker and an officially dressed woman, their names, they say, are Moiraine and Lan. After returning home for the night, his house is attacked by bikers, and he barely escapes with his life. He goes back to the town to confront Moiraine and Lan.

From Moiraine, he learns of his father's death, of a war spanning back decades between the Dragons and Shadowspawn, and how he is destined to ride the Dragon.

The Dragon: a legendary motorbike, burnished in red and gold. It held the Engine of Valere, which was said to have a roar which would rally retired bikers to its side. There was no greater bike, but it was long gone now: stripped by Shai'tan and his thirteen executives. To save his own life and his father's legacy, he would have to find the pieces of the dragon and make them whole again: he would ride the Dragon Rebuilt.

Rand set out with the two, and was also joined by his friends, Mat and Perrin, and the awful musician, Thom. Even Egwene, his irritating and badly chosen girlfriend came along, wanting to be 'cool' like Moiraine, and Nynaeve, who was told to look out for the four. The New Dragons began their quest, and settled in their roles.

Their journeys across the city to gain the hidden parts of the dragon take them to amazing places: Shienar avenue, which is on the border of the blight, a particularly gruesome industrial estate. Cairhien road, a street where children are particularly fond of 'the game of houses': where they will knock on someone's door and run as quicly as possible. Even the Stone of Tear, a funnily shaped paving stone, where Rand finally confronts Ishamael and secures his victory, taking control of his family's business once again.

But the battle is not over. Shai'tan and nine of his executives still live, and as the judges of the city slowly weaken in their resolve for justice, they are slowly coming out of prison. Rand must step up to the challenge and rally the city's biker to his call. The Dragon must ride again.

The Dragons:

Rand Al'Thor - The head of the Dragons, due to his lineage. Rand is initially unskilled at riding his bike, which is a 'Heron XL', but is later trained by Lan to do wheelies and the like. He is a handsome man, but finds it hard to choose one girl out of his many fans at the local university, Tar Valon.

Matrim Cauthon - A natural gambler and ladies man, Mat helps to fund the growth of the Dragon by earning heaps of cash and nearly always escaping murder in the process. On visiting a drug den named Shadar Logoth, he accidentally gets addicted to heroin but with the help of some uni girls manages to wean himself off it.

Perrin Aybara - The gang's mechanic, Perrin takes care of the bikes, but prefers using a truck himself. Though a gentle man, he has had a run in with the cops (who are nicknamed the whitecloaks in the city), after killing the two of them while trying to protect his rabid dog (in this city, it is law to put down rabid dogs).

Egwene Al'Vere - Once training to be a doctor, Egwene was entranced by Moiraine's sense of style and incessant snootiness. Though she is apparently in love with Rand, she likes to aggravate and degrade him as much as possible (unbiased report).

Nynaeve Al'Maera - A doctor with a short temper, Nynaeve loves older bikers - and hates uni girls. I mean really, she despises them. The Bike Wheel rolls as the Bike Wheel wills, however, and Nynaeve ends up learning to sharpen her natural skill by becoming a biker herself.

Al'Lan Mandragoran - A master of the bike, Lan is a lifelong biker and knows how to win a fight. He is usually quite emotionless but is intrigued by Nynaeve. He leads a personal vendetta against the Shadownspawn after they perpetrated the demolition of Malkier street, to expand their site.

Moiraine Damodred - An external fed who has come to investigate the corruption of the city, with a unique style and a habit of being caught naked by men. She stopped Lan from going to his death against the Shadowspawn by threatening to lock him up if he didn't grow a brain.

This thread is pretty crazy and pointless, but feel free to add on to it.
