Theories About Szenth's Dark Sphere

I have a feeling that the Dark Sphere may be a Dawnshard; the reason for the dark appearance being that it has already bound an Unmade/voidspren/Nahel Spren etc.

There's alot that Gavilar could do with the sphere if Venli had given it to him

Suppose she already has several of the spheres containing voidspren made, but knows her people will flat out reject them because they will recognized them as being from the old gods.

Then she meets Gavilar, who wants (for some storm forsaken reason) to bring back the desolations, and knows that if he had one of the voidspren and showed it to the Parshendi, they would instantly recognize it and possibly make some rash action, leading to the war.

With a war on, she could plausibly convince the leaders to accept her ideas out of desperation.

Boom, she brings back the everstorm.

Its alot of speculation, but its the best reason i can think of venli wanting gavilar to have the sphere.

Its like giving the middle east nukes just to make sure some other countries go to war to stop them from using them.

 

Personally, i think the sphere has to be something other than a trapped spren or odious investiture, because from fabrials we know that gems with trapped spren still need to be infused and don't glow even if a spren is still trapped, and odious investiture would leak out similiar to stormlight.
