Sorry for double post, but I'm seeing Incredibles 2 tomorrow! The fourteen year wait is finally over!

I've paid a little extra for gold class- minors can't get into gold class without a guardian so my boyfriend and I can fully enjoy the nostalgia as 90's kids. (We are both over 18 so we can get in muhahaha:lol:)

I really really can't wait!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Congrats @Steeldancer and @Queen Elsa Steelheart on graduating!!!

My good news for today:

Last week a friend at my apartment complex (her name is Mariah) messaged me asking for help finding a new home for her cat, since she is moving to a very un-cat-friendly place and can't take him along. Since then I've been scrambling around talking to my friends on Facebook and IRL to see if they knew someone who could adopt him, my roommates to see if they would be okay with adopting a cat, and my cat-loving relatives to see if they had any re-homing advice. I was really worried that Marcos, the cat, would end up having to go to an animal shelter when Mariah moved out, for lack of other options.

But! Here is where the good news comes in. Last night I visited Mariah's apartment, and I found out that Mariah's roommates have agreed to keep Marcos for the time being (basically until August, when their lease is up) while I continue trying to find a permanent home for him. I'll get to come over and pet him and help take care of him, and I'll have a few months to find him a home without worrying that something awful will happen to him in an animal shelter.

Here are a couple photos of Marcos. He's a total sweetheart!

Last Saturday, I climbed Mt. Bierdstat, my first 14er. Left the parking lot at 8:00, summit at 11:00, began the descent at 11:30, and got back to the parking lot at 2:00. On the ascent, that averages a 1000 ft elevation gain per hour.

Those are some incredible markings on its face, absolutely stunning. Am I the only one getting joker vibes from it?

I haven't heard anyone else mention the Joker specifically, but other people have said it looks like a Cheshire Cat grin or an epic beard. :P

ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is important. If you DO NOT have a Bug-a-salt gun, you NEED one.

It looks like a nerf gun, plastic, pump shotgun style toy looking thing. But...IT SHOOTS A PINCH OF SALT EACH SHOT.

This thing is for killing flies, and ive never..had..so..much..fun.......

yes, you get a touch of salt here and there. but it kills flies dead, and its too much fun. Im more annoyed that it works so rusting well, and i have no more flies to shoot.

Eep!  After five years on the job market (which was becoming increasingly not-fun), I received an offer today.  It's even in a place where they speak something resembling English!  Somewhat dazed, on the one hand starting to feel again as though I have a future, on the other worried I might screw it up.  Well, I think I read somewhere, "Journey before destination".

At least I've got a soundtrack already playing.

I found a bunch of fun "creepy crawlies" at the park today. :D

I swear this dragonfly was the same color as taco sauce.

Monarch caterpillar! First one I've found this year. And today I found FOUR. :D

This moth's camouflage was INSANE. It was fluttering around a tree trunk about 10 feet away when I first saw it, and then it landed on the tree but I didn't see exactly where. So I spent several minutes examining the tree trunk trying to find the moth again. What's really crazy is part of the moth's wings that's hidden in the photo is BRIGHT RED. I got a glimpse of it while the moth was fluttering around, but once it landed, the red part got hidden under the rest of the wing.

I recently wrote a author (Adrian Selby) telling him how much I appreciated his book and he sent me a message in return. Perhaps I get star struck too easily, but I think its really cool when a author replies to you. He seems like a nice chap and recommend his book Snakewood if anyone is looking for something gritty, avant-garde, and a really cool magic system.
