ChullRider
So I read some things saying that Stormlight Archive will be 5 books, and others saying it will be 10 books. Which one is correct? (I found both sources on the Brandon Sanderson website)
Alvron
Stormlight will be 10 books total with two story arcs broken down into 5 books each.
Cold Fusion
Not quite wheel of time length, but still quite the undertaking for Brandon Sanderson. And guess what, he's only 1/5 of the way done...

AerionBFII
I wish i never started *sigh* there's nothing better or worse for starting an incredible series from the beginning....the rereads...oh the rereads.
FaeMofo
Rereading is the best part, you get to uncover more embedded stuff as the series goes on
thecatinthehat
How many books will there be in Stormlight Archive? Over nine thousand!!! But seriously, what the other folks say, two pentalogies. And yes, rereads are fun.
Pestis the Spider
Hm, if the 'two pentalogies' are so separate, will they have the same characters?
kari-no-sugata
Those that survive the first half at least. I think the rough plan was for there to be an in-world gap of about 10 years between the two halves. Some minor/side characters in the first half will be major characters in the second half, eg Lift. Of course, nothing is certain until the books in question are written.
KevinTheHerdazian
I'm with wez. Rereads suck. Ive read WoK like 4 times and this is my 13 reread of WoR
AerionBFII
@KevinTheHerdazian so true it's depressing the amount of rereads i've done on SA ! The worst part about series like Stormlight Archive is the wait between each release, don't get me wrong im not complaining against BrandonTheMachine it's just as a reader there are no books in the same league to help ease the gaps between releases.

Thank you - it's really nice to hear that there is a chance that someone wil live through this part and will be in the second penta-something.
