Doctor Who has always been a favorite of mine. I watched the series in order, watching the classic, then the modern. My favorite Doctor, by far, is Patrick Troughton. But through the modern series, it lost a charm that the classic series had. Exploration. Every season in the modern Doctor Who has had some sort of story arc, kind of shutting out the actual purpose of Doctor Who, which was to show the universe to an eager new companion. Yes, there have been small story arcs in the classic series, but there have been only two seasons where it revolves around one arc, that being The Key to Time and The Trial of a Time Lord. Learning new things and exploring new planets is what it's supposed to be about. Don't get me wrong. The story arcs in the modern series have been amazing, but less about building character and learning. That's one reason why. The other reason is the Doctor himself. (Or because of recent events, herself.) He has had many faces, but there's always something unique about him. It's awesome. Like Colin Baker. His time as the Doctor was short, and sadly, is considered the worst Doctor by some. I personally love his forwardness and brash attitude. There has never been a Doctor that I didn't like. But the flame is dying for two reasons. One is Jodie Whittaker, the Thirteenth Doctor. I don't mind BBC casting her, but her casting has lost support from a lot of the fanbase. My friend has vowed never to watch Doctor Who again, which is sad. To me, thirteen is the number where things start to wear out. I will still watch it, but I don't know what will happen. If we reach the Sixteenth Doctor, I may quit too. It's sad. Christopher Eccleston was brief, but great. David Tennant and Matt Smith were amazing. Peter Capaldi was the beginning. His first season took some getting used to. But by the time, his next seasons rolled around, he was awesome. Now with Jodie Whittaker, I will cross my fingers. If they pull this off, Doctor Who will live on for a while. If they don't, I will pray for their souls.

Ok, so a bit of fun. We know about the known members of the seventeenth shard already, right? We also know certain known worldhoppers at this point. I was hoping we could share our wishlists of people we want to see (or already suspect to) become worldhoppers of some sort and show up on other worlds at some point in the Cosmere. For me, I have to say it's Wan ShaiLu. I really hope she is still about and cosmere-aware at this point. She was betrayed by Hoid at the beginning of her saga and when last we saw her, she went off to hunt him down! Other than shadesmar being a bad idea on Sel, she seems a perfect fit for the seventeenth shard. Buy hey, if Galladon managed, why wouldn't she? I'd love to see her finally catch her prey or use her forgery elsewhere in the cosmere. Who do you guys want to see worldhop and show up again on another world?

Welcome to Question 16….

I was just reading Brandon's AMA over at r/books from 2 months ago. It was pretty far down so I don't know if others saw... But both Herdazians and Horneaters are the result of human-listener interbreeding. :/ So, apparently they had been 'discovered' long ago, not to mention that relations were probably quite quite good. So Rock+Rlain=fam forever.

Here’s how this works. Put two votes on the questions for the Presidential Ticket and one vote on the World Dicator question. (Sorry, non-Americans! You can still vote!) Please discuss your suggestions below! I will edit this as I come up with more stuff. I just wanted to get this out before someone else had the same idea. (ninja face) If anyone has suggestions for more pros, cons, or candidates, please PM me. Notes: I didn’t put Brandon in, as he would obviously win. Re-reading the epilogue to Firefight this morning reminded me that while it was an important mystery to the book, fairly few fans have lent their brains to debating who really killed Sam the Reckoner in Babilar. Even by the last paragraph of the novel Mizzy is convinced that it was Megan--but was it? What do you think?
