Mid-Range Game 64: Shades of Crimson

MR64 Aftermath: The Fall of Crimson It is not your time. Jade NeVron’s thoughts came into focus, then blurred. …What? Where were they? What was happening? I… died? It is not your- uh, your- just, uh, yeah. I gotta go. Jade blinked (although they weren’t aware their eyes had been open in the first place) and the world came into view. They were sprawled on the ground on the edge of the forests, breathing hard. It occurred to them that they’d died here, but there were no wounds on their person, and the blood that had been coming from their shoulder was gone. Between the houses of Crimson, they saw a hooded figure running from two scary-looking people with knives. They wondered what that was about. Eh. None of my business. They picked themself up off the ground, dusted themself off, and began to trudge back to their house. * Frederrick ran for his life. What on Vax had he been thinking, staying and trying to save the homesteaders? There were much larger things at stake. When the boy had died, it had truly shaken him – Frederrick suspected that Jorma had been working for the Ghostbloods, but no one deserved to die that early. He sprinted down a side street, wishing he’d bothered to take a weapon with him. The street narrowed, forcing the Ghostbloods to run at him single-file. Frederrick turned a corner, and a Ghostblood stood in front of him, grinning as she stabbed him in the gut. “Thanks,” she whispered as he dropped to the floor, eyes wide. * Lazy Bones sighed as the mob showed up at his house yet again. “What’s it this time?” he asked. “Y’know, just go ahead and kill me. I don’t want to know.” * Tess hummed as she sliced a piece of dried meat with her knife. The Forests weren’t so bad really. Master Thaidakar had certainly sent her to worse places. She looked away for a moment, and when she focused back on her food, she realized that she’d sliced a small piece of skin from her thumb. Her eyes widened as a drop of blood began to form. Breathe. It’s okay. You’ll be fine. Tess found that hard to believe as the shade descended on her. She held her silver knife at length, slashing, and the form dissipated. She quickly applied a bandage to the wound, breathing hard. “Tess!” She turned to see her fellow Ghostbloods approaching from behind her. One of them twirled her finger and grew a vine up a tree. “We’ve got the asset. Let’s go.” JNV has been resurrected! Ashbringer has become a Shade! The Known Novel has become a Shade! Amanuensis has become a Shade! TheAlpha929 has been sent to the Spiritual Realm! He was a Protector of the Dawnshard! And that's a wrap! Congrats to the Ghostbloods (@DeTess, @Matrim's Dice, and @|TJ|). Thanks for playing . I lost my glasses yesterday, so looking at my computer gives me a massive headache (thus the subpar writeup and long rollover). Thanks also to @StrikerEZ for his help the first rollover and for generally being an awesome IM. Player List. Docs.
