Hello, I’m not entirely certain if this is the correct place to ask this question, as I am new to the forum, but I have had a burning question on my mind as soon as I saw it. In page 142 of The Well of Ascension, during Elend Venture’s makeover, this sentence is spotted: ”It wasn’t extremely short like Ham’s hair, but it was neat and precise” I was confused; I found this to be a vague description and I thought about it, tried to find evidence of Elend’s exact style, and eventually I resolved to make an account here and ask: What hairstyle does he actually have at the end of this haircut? Is it a crew cut? A side part? A middle part? If anyone knows the answer to this question, I would love to hear it.

There are a LOT of different shades of blond hair. Kell is usually pictured with a yellow blond or flax blond, but he has ash blond on the cover of Secret History. It makes me wonder: what shade of blond is his hair? I like ash, but what do you all think? I actually know people who have most of these colors naturally. My childhood BF had white blond, and my little sister had copper blond/golden blond/honey blond depending on the time of year. (She had weird hair; don’t ask.) I’ve seen just about every shade between. There are more variants than listed here, but some of them are almost never found naturally so I didn’t list them. Others were just too close to the ones listed. Feel free to suggest them though!

Maybe I am worrying too much about it, especially since I just read that question on this board about the Chalk Siri uses. Anyway, this is the second topic I have made about the Royal locks and now I am curious again about something. We know that Siri can grow her hair as long as she wants, even if she were bald, but my question is, can she also shorten her hair at will as well? I label the question as Not safe for work because I don't just mean the hair on the top of her head, but rather from all areas of her body. Arms, legs, head, and everywhere else hair grows. I'll understand if this is not one that people wish to discuss.

Alright, this is something that bothers me a lot, especially after the other week where I found out that a Kandra can mimic gametes and a Kandra in a female body could also go through a full pregnancy and birth a viable human offspring: Why can Kandra not grow hair? If they can mimic every single other part of a human body, and even produce a viable offspring with mimiced gametes, why is a single protein a problem? Does anyone have any insight into this? Can someone ease my suffering, or does this have to wait until I'm rabid with anticipation at the Oathbringer signing line?
