Kelsir in SH dies and persists longer cause he was an allomancer, thus a returned (especially one of the five scolars) could stay even a lot longer in the spiritual realm. We have seen Nale „revive“ or reattach szeths cognitive shadow back to his body, someone like Yesteel who is more proficient at this could potentially have put in a lot more into Clod then we think.

As of the Stormlight books, it seems likely that all four of the other Scholars are dead by Vasher's hand — or at least, he's chipped in and done his bit. Certainly, Shashara, Denth, and Arsteel were killed by him. Regardless of that, all five of them lived for quite a while, especially compared to the other Returned. And yet, none of them (that we know of) gave up their Divine Breath. This begs many questions but I would prefer to start with perhaps the most obvious of them: do they know yet why they took Endowment up on her offer?

This quote came from the signing on December 1st, but I'm curious to get some feedback about it, as it seems to contradict the information Brandon gave us recently about the Five Scholars on Nalthis. How could the Five Scholars be close to being cosmere aware, knowing more than anyone who wasn't a worldhopper (meaning they likewise were not worldhoppers), and yet also be a group that worldhopped to worlds that had gone through Industrial Revolutions? So, were the Five Scholars cosmere aware and/or did they worldhop when they were the Five Scholars? Obviously, Vasher/Zahel figured it out by the time we see him in TWoK (which takes place after Warbreaker). What do we know people?

This is a terrible theory. -Vasher has no memories of his prior life. -That's probably not true. Lightsong had hints of his former life. They influenced his dreams. They shaped his second life. -Vasher helped make Nightblood. -Nightblood is "based on" shardblades to an unknown degree. -Seems like if Vasher knew how to worldhop for the last 400 years (leading up to the events of Warbreaker), he wouldn't be sticking around. Sure, maybe Shashara was secretly the worldhopper. But what if Vasher was? What if the designs for Nightblood were guided by an intuitive understanding granted in a previous life? For all we know, what if he was a Herald? Think about the offer Endowment could supply a Herald: "You, who cannot die and cannot forget. I can take these tortured memories, relieve you of your guilt. I will remake you." I'm probably not right. But 15 years down the road, if I turn out to be right, maybe someone will see a cache of this page and go "that guy was right." And then move on with their lives.
