  1. We heard theories about the champion being gavilar , Kaliden, Adolin, and gavinor but what about evi? I know impossible but hear me out. 1. There are 2 awakeners on Roshar 2. One of them is currently trapt in the cognitive realm by odium's force's 3. Awakeners can make intelligent, and sapient awakened objects. 4.lifless can become self aware given enough investure. 5. Royal light eyes are soul cast into stone . Consider this possibility odium approaches Ashur, with a deal. Passage to the physical in exchange for a little favor. There soulcast evi corpse back into flesh, Odium gives Ashur a storm ton of Investiure and she awakens her. Then the bond her to one of the unmade and the process is complete. This new evi would probably not the orginal evi, since her soul is long gone from here to the beyond, but I don't think that will matter to dalinar. She will be a live think in the body of his wife I don't think he could bring himself to kill her. Also consider the death rattle about holding a knife to the throat of a new born baby. All the other candidates are technically to old , but self aware lifeless created from Evi would only be a few days old so technically a new born. Ok so how crazy I'm I?
  2. Spoilers for OB So I noticed something when Raging Fire came up on spotify. Hope you like it. So just read through this excerpt of the lyrics and keep the relationship between Dalinar and Evi's death and the effects on Dalinar in mind. ... Before the flame goes out tonight Yeah, we'll live until we die So c'mon c'mon c'mon Won't you turn my soul into a raging fire? C'mon c'mon c'mon 'Til we lose control into a raging fire Into a raging fire C'mon c'mon c'mon Won't you turn my soul into a raging fire? You know time will give and time will take All the memories made will wash away Even though we've changed, I'm still here with you
  3. From the album: Six: The Cosmere Musical

I was listening to Heart of Stone from Six, and I saw a lot of parallels from Jane Seymour to Evi. You've got a good heart But I know it changes A restless tide, untamable You came my way, and I knew a storm could come too You'd lift me high, or let me fall But I took your hand, promised I'd withstand Any blaze you blew my way 'Cause something inside, it solidified And I knew I'd always stay You can build me up, you can tear me down You can try but I'm unbreakable You can do your best, but I'll stand the test You'll find that I'm unshakeable When the fire's burnt When the wind has blown When the water's dried, you'll still find stone My heart of stone You say we're perfect A perfect family You hold us close, for the world to see And when I say you're the only one I've ever loved I mean those words truthfully But I know Without my sons your love could disappear I know it isn't fair, but I don't care 'Cause my love, will still be here You can build me up, you can tear me down You can try but I'm unbreakable You can do your best, but I'll stand the test You'll find that I'm unshakeable When the fire's burnt The wind has blown The water's dried, you'll still find stone My heart of stone Soon I'll have to go I'll never see him grow But I hope my sons will know They'll never be alone 'Cause like a river runs dry And leaves it's scars behind I'll be by your side 'Cause my love Is set in stone
  4. From the album: General SA Art

Young Dalinar & Evi for you all. My favorite Stormlight couple (former) so far! So beautiful yet so tragic.
  5. So Dalinar wrote a biography at the end of oathbringer and I was wondering how much he actually revealed in his book, or mainly, how Evi actually died, that would have major implications for RoW, cause now everyone would know, right? like Renarin can read now and Shallan could walk in and be like 'Adolin you need to see this' but I just can't belive that Dalinar would go far enough to publish that, but idk, thoughts?
  6. What exactly is the relationship between so-called ‘spiritual corpses’ and the actual people that they appear to represent? Because this is something I’m a bit confused about. After Dalinar breaks free of Odium’s influence and temporarily ascends, he hears “Evi’s” voice telling him that she forgives him, which I had originally assumed was her ghost that had somehow resisted being pulled Beyond for this very purpose. But a few months ago @Calderis later corrected me on this and informed me that it was actually her spiritual corpse, the same as the screams that Szeth used to hear. But I’m really confused what exactly this means. Was it actually Evi in any real sense, whether it be her actually speaking from the Spiritual Realm somehow or Dalinar somehow ‘receiving’ the last thing she said before she died which was stored in the SR? Or might it theoretically be the case that Evi actually died hating Dalinar and all Dalinar actually ‘heard’ was his own mind poetically forgiving himself and she had nothing to do with it? To be clear, I don’t think Evi actually did die hating Dalinar; I think she loved him right to the end (to whatever extent she ever loved him in the first place anyway) and probably did forgive him, since she always seemed to somehow know that Dalinar was driven by what we know as the Thrill to be the terrible man he used to be. But can we actually know this for certain based on the “I forgive you” scene? If a cognitive shadow can be thought of as either a literal ghost or the cognitive equivalent of mind uploading, then what exactly is a spiritual corpse?
  7. I’m just curious, do we know if there’s any way a person’s soul or ghost or cognitive shadow or whatever you want to call it can resist being pulled into the Beyond other than a Shard facilitating it? Like how Fuzz was able to keep Kelsier from passing into the Beyond because even he couldn’t resist for long. Because at the end of Oathbringer once Dalinar opens Honor’s Perpendicularity, he hears what I can only assume was Evi’s ghost speaking to him and telling him she forgives him before presumably moving on (I don’t think Brandon intended it to merely be a hallucination), but how exactly was she able to linger all that time? The only thing I can think is that Cultivation kept her from passing on until the culmination of Dalinar’s boon/curse had occurred, though if that’s true then her future sight truly is nothing short of astounding.
  8. So I can't find it mentioned or talked about anywhere, but I'm about exactly here in an Oathbringer reread and Evi and Dalinar just got done talking about how Dalinar is changing (getting older). We know already Evi's religion has been described as kinda pagan, kinda vorin. Dalinar is talking about getting older and she says he's changing from one aspect to another. He asks her to clarify and she talks about how they worship"the One", all power is his power, the old magic is "an aspect of the One" (Cultivation/Nightwatcher) who grants some of his power, the Almighty is another aspect, there are many aspects to the One, and people can change between aspects at different times in their lives. Sounds like she (her culture) worships Adonalsium and/or the Shards and could even be the closest thing to a "one true religion" of the Cosmere. I've searched Arcanum, the Coppermind, and good ole Google but haven't found anything about this. Any info would be great Edit: I relistened cause it was 45 min in between hearing and being able to post. I definitely paraphrased and used a wrong word (aspect instead of Avatar), but the overall point is the same.
  9. Following the most recent episode of Shardcast, I brain spewed forth this idea. As we have not yet seen Sja-anat in physical form, since we have not yet seen her features (her form is a black shadow iwith glowing white eyes), and since she seems to display not only sapience, but also independence of thought and action, is it possible that she is powerful among the unmade? If she has enough power, could she manifest a physical form? Since Odium was preparing Dalinar to fall, could Evi have been Sja-anat? Drawing from the podcast, if we assume that Sja-anat can resurrect dead spren, then it could be that Adolin's communication with his shard blade is inherited from his Unmade mother. This would also make Renarin a son of Sja-anat, and could potentially make him more susceptible to bonding to one of her corrupted spren. His sickness could also be a result of him possessing mixed DNA, or a mix of innate investiture. It also makes sense that Odium would use Sja-anat, posing as Evi, to push Dalinar further over the edge and make him more susceptible to The Thrill. She could do this by constantly challenging his values, or by acting completely out of character and doing something brash, like get captured by an enemy side.
  10. From the album: Cosmeme & Crossmere

    I was asked to do this and it turned out to be a lot of fun 1. Male!Evi & Female!Dalinar (25 years old) 2. Female!Kaladin (in slave wagon) 3. Male!Veil & Male!Shallan 4. Female!Wit (The greatest B**ch all across the Cosmere) 5. Bonus: Female!Szeth
  11. We know that to become a Knight Radiant, you have to be broken. But Adolin is such a happy, cheerful person. What if his 'breaking' happens when he finds out the truth about how Evi really died? The omission of Adolin's feelings on his mother's death was glaringly obvious....
  12. In (flashback) chapter 94, "A Small Bottle," Dalinar asks young Renarin, "What did your mother [Evi] say about me?" Renarin answers, "The only honest officer in the army, ... the honorable soldier. Noble, like the Heralds themselves. Our father. The greatest man in Alethkar." Years later, after Cultivation anesthetizes his pain, this is what he actually becomes, or tries to. So in a way, these words of a loving wife acted on him in a similar way that Shallan's drawing acted on Bluth in WoR: showing him a vision of himself as a better man and nudging him in that direction. I'm not saying that Evi was a proto-Lightweaver (though wouldn't that be cool?). But maybe love often allows us to see others (spouses, lovers, children, parents, friends) as better than what they currently are, and that in turn encourages them to hope they can be that person and take the next step along that path. This tiny chapter is so powerful - - IMO the whole book is a masterpiece that gets better the more you re-read/review it.
  13. I just really liked the idea of Dalinar falling asleep and his family gathering around him. I’d say this is set in Kholinar or someplace close. I was going to draw little Jasnah conspiring with little Adolin up there, but I decided Adolin looked fine by himself. He wants to go get a cookie from the kitchen.
