I’m not sure how many theories there are about Elokar’s fate, and I’m not sure if this has been brought forward before, and also that Brandon Sanderson has said he’d chill with it, but year me out. Assuming everyone on Roshar that dies does go to some sort of afterlife, and assuming the Tranquiline Halls and Damnation are where they go when they die, could it be that one of those places is where the late king went, would it be overly far fetched that with the help Jasnah, or Someone with her similar powers, perhaps with Dalinar’s help, could travel to those places without needing to die? Could they perhaps retrieve him for a hefty price of either Stormlight or in exchange for someone else? Just a possible theory

Braize is the third planet from the system's sun know as Damnation. Roshar, which exists in between the Halls and Damnation is second planet. Is Ashyn Tranquiline Halls? the first planet?

So while it could still be entirely possible, Braize doesn't scream as loudly as Damnation or the Tranquiline Halls as I thought it would. Ashyn is described as "the burning planet," which sounds more like Hell/Damnation to me (granted, my lens comes from a Christian background). It sounds like Odium is holed up in the Physical and Cognitive Realms in the Greater Roshar system, but the essay didn't explicitly (or exclusively) say he's on Braize. Maybe the Tranquiline Halls and/or Damnation are in the Cognitive or Spiritual Realms?

One of the first things that caught my attention when I read TWoK was this: The idea that the Heralds actually had to travel somewhere to go back to Damnnation surprised me. This obviously isn't in a place that can be easily accessed, being so alien to the way Roshar is described. Obviously somewhere off-world or at least far away from the main Rosharan supercontinent. And we haven't heard any indication of the Heralds having to journey back to Damnation after the Desolations. It seems fairly clear to me that there has to be some other way to get to Damnation. So, I think that the Heralds have access to Shadesmar and the knowledge of how to Worldhop. We know little of their abilities at this point, so it's at least plausible. It would certainly be useful in coordinating a worldwide defense against the Voidbringers. They can easily return to Damnation, be it on Roshar or elsewhere. Another point in favor is that, to Worldhop you go to Shadesmar. When Heralds die they automatically return, and we know that Shadesmar is where people seem to be going when they die, so that ties together quite nicely. I wouldn't even be surprised if the Travel surge was based off a similar principle. I know this is kind of an insignificant, rinky-dink theory, but what do you guys think?
