A lot of people have probably been confused by all the PFP stuff that's been going on lately. But NOW is your chance to join in! Starting March 1 (today), some Sharders will be changing their profile pictures to a Sanderson Facepalm picture found below, in honor of the year's anniversary of the "I have been lying to you" video. We will also be changing our member title to our favorite quote of the video, or "It's time to come clean" or "I've been lying to you". Feel free to be creative. We will end on March 7 after a week of celebration Feel free to use any of the images found below, OR fill them with crazy edits as you please. If you come up with a particularly good edit that you want to have shared, lmk and I can add it to the OP Normal: Deep Fried (Credit @Witless of Shinovar): Extra Deep Fried (Credit @Witless of Shinovar): Goblin Sanderson (Credit @solarcat): Cursed Anime Brandon (Credit @Shadowed): Angry Laser Eyes BrandoSando (Credit @NerdyAarakocra) Top Hat Sanderson (Credit @Lord Gregorio and DALL·E) Space Brandon (Credit @Cinnamon): Black/White (Credit @Robin Sedai): LET THE MADNESS BEGIN

Today marks the ten-year anniversary of the 17th Shard! I don’t want to steal the news post’s thunder, so I won’t go into how awesome this place is or how much work the incredible mod team puts into it, so just know that it’s a lot for both of those. The point of this thread is for you to share your favorite times on the Shard. That conversation that went even more off the rails with every post. That theory that Brandon confirmed in the next book. That time a friend gave you a compliment and it made your day. That thread or PM that was filled with the most quality writing/theorizing/debating/pure nonsense. That piece of writing or art that you absolutely toiled over that was then loved by everyone else, or vice versa. Anything! Here are a few questions for anyone who wants something to build off of, but feel free to reminisce together and remind each other of stuff! The whole point is for good times that happened here to be shared, regardless of what they are. What’s your favorite thread, PM, etc. you’ve participated in? Why? What conversation made you die of laughter? What time did someone here make you feel really happy? What’s one of the posts that made you reread it in awe? What moment of your own are you super proud of? What time on the Shard might you want to relive for a day? You can answer these with multiple things, no need to limit yourself! Nor do you need to stick to only them - again, this is only a guide and you’re not required to do anything. It’s all up to you. Happy anniversary to you all!

Hi guys! So you know how Brandon Sanderson made a 10th anniversary special leather edition of Elantris?? Well what about Mistborn? It's almost been 10 years since the first book came out (it came out July 17th 2006) Do you think Brandon will make something special? if so, please comment your ideas! I personally think he will do something special for that but maybe he will wait for the entire first trilogy to have 10 years to make something special... (2018)

I saw some older threads mentioning the possibility of a ten year anniversary edition of Elantris, published April 21, 2005. But I'm curious, if you had a decent but reasonable sum of money and the authority to finance a project of some sort, as a fan, how would you use it to commemorate the anniversary of Sanderson's first book? Think book, comic book, or animated short budget, not national monument, theme park, or Hollywood blockbuster budget. Examples: An illustrated edition of Mistborn, Elantris, and/or Warbreaker. An annotated edition of Mistborn, Elantris, and/or Warbreaker. A favorite scene turned into an animated short. A sequential art book showing highlight scenes from one book in order from beginning to end.
