  1. I don't think she has an Honorblade, seeing as they are all but accounted for: 1 is with Kal 1 is with whichever herald recovered his, this has been discussed in other threads (only possibility, but I think it i still in the hands of whomever recovered it) 1 is with Taln, who took it to Braize at the end of the last desolation, might or might not be back on Roshar, not likely to be in the hands of a female assassin 7 back with the shin stone shamans = 10 But i like the idea of her being a surgebinder, we know that orders can be strikingly different in their views and interpretation of the ideals, after all, sly does describe pattern as being "Revolting." who knows, maybe there is a spren out there who is okay with some sort of "do what you are hired to do, regardless of what that is" ideology.
  2. Sanderson has kept Dalinar's Boon/curse in the dark on purpose, we don't even know if not being able to know anything about his wife is the curse or the boon, and we don't know anything about the second part of the deal, or even if there is a second part to the deal. However, judging by how curious he is about his wife, that it almost seems he wished he could remember her. This makes me think that losing memory of her is the curse; this is based on the fact that he says that he knows exactly what the boon and curse are, therefore he knows what he got on both sides, and yet he wishes he had not lost the memories, he also seems ashamed of not being able to remember her, and is afraid of somehow offending her memory (whatever that is) This leaves the question of what the boon is. Hopefully it is revealed in the net book, though i have the feeling we will have to wait until we get to Dalinar's book; It just seems like a nice and juicy secret to keep. Also, I don't expect the boon to be something lame and irrelevant to the current timeline like "help me win the next battle so that Gallivar can be king." Thinking about those lines, it also does not seem likely that the boon would be "Help me get over the grief of losing shshshshs" That is just too lame, and lame is not something I usually associate with Brandon's wprk
  3. I have some answers regarding the timeline of the Recreance and the founding of the KR, it seems that the KR existed for a long time "A Few Desolations" however long that is. but maybe they just did not provide steel tools to every spearman; if I remember correctly, the squires of the KR in the purelake vision also had similar (primitive) tools. Either that or they kept the knowledge alive, but weren't very good at spreading it, to reference another vision, when Dalinar sees the Night essence creatures, the people from the town did not even imagine people could ever break/modify stone, all this while the KR were obviously active and saving people. The KR did not actively spread the knowledge, they invited Dalinar to come to Urithiru (and provably learn), so at least they were open about it. As to the abandoning of the oathpact, WoB is that the oathpact is "Not as broken as they [heralds that quit] think" When the heralds left, they believed that leaving one herald in damnation (taln) would be enough to keep the pact from totally breaking, they then proceeded to lie to humanity claiming that that specific desolation was the last one ever. The truth has become clear now that another desolation has started. As to what Jasna overheard, I agree with happyman
  4. WoB I am convinced that Adolin will become a KR and specifically a DustBringer, he has the temper and the attributes, not to mention the half-nod from the WoB
  5. I think you are onto something, However, I think that the relation is more encompassing than you realize. The chart in the Ars-Arcanum is not complete, it says so itself, besides, the on in WoR contains more info than the one in tWoK. I believe that that together, a spren and a human bound in by a nahael bond contain the all the attainable attributes in the chart, with each bringing some of them. We know from the epigraphs in WoR that the members of the specific KR orders always seemed to share the same attributes, all the willshapers were unreliable, erratic and capricious. All the truthwatchers were quiet and secretive, all the windrunners were natural warriors, all the lightweavers were artistic, all the edgedancers were charitable, etc... What I am saying is that specific spren would look for specific people that would complement them in such a way that taken together both, human and spren would complete the chart in the ars-arcanum. this means that two different spren could bind different people for the same result, thus ending with different but ultimately equal spren-human couples in the same KR order
  6. I don't think the dead blade Adolin holds is relevant, Dalinar and Renarin both heard the screams when they summoned their blades after bonding a spren, meaning neither "revived" the blade, rather they bonded a different spren and then were forced to discard the dead one. However, it would be interesting to see dead spren somehow come back to life, maybe if the current holder of the blade (dead spren) takes on the oaths of the original KR who forsook them, it would solve the problem of the depopulated sentient spren species.
  7. I believe that Ym was an Edgedancer, remember, their second ideal is "I will Remember those who have been forgotten." In the interlude, we see him helping street urchins, wanting to know their stories, maybe because he felt the need to at least in some way remember them?
  8. I Bought the Kobo e-Book version of the book, and I also found the "Bedside" instead of beside in chapter 55.
  9. So, the as far as we can tell, the current queue is: 1.- Steelheart 2: Firefight (3rd Draft: 50%) 2.- Legion: Skin Deep (1st Draft: 70%) 3.- Rithmatist 2: (untitled) 4.- Stomlight Archive 3: Stones Unhallowed (working title) I am happy with the line up, Steelheart 2 is more than half done, the last few drafts usually don't take very long. The Rithmatist books aren't very long, since they are for youth-adult audience. I think it wont be very long before work starts on SA 3. I am sooo excited!
