Running into Sanderson readers in random places
DbuckiMcg replied to TheShogun's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I ran into someone reading Towers of Midnight while we were waiting to be seated at a restaurant. I couldn't resist asking the guy how he liked the series. I then proceeded to dish out the advice that Brandon also wrote the Mistborn series and that if you were the type of person to be sitting at a bar on a Friday night reading ToM it was a series you would enjoy -
I hope we see the conflict from Kaladin's POV, then get to see the conflict again in Szeth's POV book as a flashback that helps shape/change his life as he tries to redeem himself for actions that he has come to regret.

So what are you going to do until WoR comes out?

I am a huge Malazan Book of the Fallen fan but they are not the easiest read in the world. They are long... even compared to Brandon's writing they are long and the story lines get a bit convoluted but they are awesome. I would definitely suggest them to you but caution you that the plot starts a bit slowly. -
Brandon's website confirmed that this is the last set of sample chapters in his January 25th update. At least February is the shortest month. I am re-listening to the audiobook to try and pass the time.

I thought it was interesting that the Parshendi spy on humans using dullform, "It was a form of low intelligence, low capacity. They used it now to spy on the humans (Interlude 1)" It seems that this form must be very similar to slaveform if they are able to pass off as spies. I think that we can now safely assume that Shen is a Parshendi spy.
