  1. They also are capable of sharing pain. At least they were while trapped on Braize. I wonder if this connection could be manipulated further. Could it for example be used like a Morse code. Three distinct stab of pain or the such?
  2. *Note I haven't posted a whole lot and don't know how to hide spoilers. So warning Spoilers If I remember correctly there is a WoB that all the heralds were at the palace during the night of Gavilar's assassination. So we of course know about Jezrin and Ash being there for sure as of Oathbringer. What about the other heralds? Is Liss possibly a herald? Or were they all background?
  3. Never even though of Magic the card game before. Now I'm obsessed with understanding what the heck just happened in this story! I enjoyed this short story but there were so many small things like the angels soul that just left me baffled. Any other work help explain these things? Also what the heck is Tascenda now? Does she have the same basic power set as Davriel plus warding strength?
  4. If I got to choose one it would definitely be sky-breaker with a storm-light metabolism like lyfts. While being able to stick people and yourself would be fun as a wind-runner the division surge sound like a lot more fun and useful. Being able to "divide things" in addition to being able to blow and burn things up could creatively be used for things such as welding, house warmth, creation of cool art, etc. Or I could simply stick things. To other things. For a limited amount of time. That I could have used flying. So yeah, sky breaker powers would be sick.
  5. Now that would be a sight to see! (Or well read) Still that would be awesome
  6. I believe this shipyard might prove vital for the humans getting of detritus. At the end of the book it hinted they were going to try to create another large ship and use ftl to escape. I wonder if they might end up fixing the shipyards and using them to more effectively fight back.
  7. That was freaking awesome!!!!
  8. Rip sorry thought this chapter would be in addition to stuff this week. Sorry for the misleading title guys!
  9. Sorry if I'm stealing anybodies thunder but I found the chapter and thought I would post it for anybody else who wanted to see it. https://www.getunderlined.com/read/excerpt-reveal-start-reading-skyward-by-brandon-sanderson/
  10. If Shashara were still alive could she hypothetically pull the breath back from nightblood and would A: She would get all the other investiture he has collected in addition to her own or B: Would only her original breaths come back to her but Nihgtblood would still retain sentience from the investiture he has collected?
  11. @Scion of the Mists We haven't gotten a look at the krell yet... I think there is a chance they might be humans. Krell might simply be a faction of humans.
  12. That makes sense. I hope that it is because it would be hilarious to have the AI be a slug
  13. Also I'm almost positive now that this is not defending Elysium. "'We’ve tried to reverse engineer Krell technology,' Cobb said in a calm voice, a striking contrast to the insanity around me. Nedd screamed as he was hit. Morningtide went down quietly. 'But we have failed. They have better destructors and better shields. That means, fighting them, you’re outgunned and out-armored.'" In defending Elysium it is stated numerous times that Earth is not slightly ahead, but monumentally ahead of all the other species so unless this is hundreds of years later there is no way that the other species would be ahead of the humans. So with this I am almost a 100% sure that this is based in the universe of Firstborn cine all species were fairly equal and there was established conflict. Furthermore it makes sense it is in Firstborn since it is established there that they had massive ships with very large crews, their technology is not as earth based as seen with the personal shields (which I daresay reminds me a lot of the shields that they use on the fighters and around the base.), the holographic displays which we do see in Firstborn, and the light lines which I can see fitting into the more advanced Firstborn technology.
  14. Sad, but it looks like Rig washed out. That being said it wasn't unexpected since Brandon gave us plenty of hints. I did notice though that right before Rig washed out Spensa noticed a second seat in the ship.... I don't think it's to far a stretch to say that Rig might be involved with this old ship. I'm also starting to get worried about the ownership of the ship. Rather than accepting it, I think Ironsides if going to try to detain and scrap the ship for parts like the acclivity ring which they have stated multiple times are extremely valuable. So I definitely see some potential conflict there. Also I'm almost positive now that this is not defending Elysium. That is to say, it *is* the AI of the ship. Sounds fun but I don't think so "The slug dropped onto the rocks there. 'And you doubted me.'" The slug left the ship so wouldn't the AI have to be tethered to the ship at all times?
  15. I'm here mainly for understanding the overall cosmere. There are a lot of theories I come up with that I just want to bounce off people to see if there is information I might have mixed. That being said I'm really pumped for skyward!
