I was recently playing dreidel with my family, and came across an interesting coincidence. In case you don't know, dreidel is a spinning top game with four different sides. Each is represented by a symbol (Hei, gimmel, nun, and shin). The symbol that was interesting to me was the one called "Shin". What you do when you roll a Shin, is to add one coin to the pot. In shinovar, there is a saying that "blessed is he who adds", and I can't help but wonder if Brandon got the name (and at least some of the characteristics of this culture) from the dreidel game. Thoughts? Has this been posted before and I couldn't find it?

One of my favorite episodes, would definitely be happy to get more like this.

Yes, you'll especially like book 4. You're not alone in loving that chapter. "I win again Lews Therin" is a fantastic line from it and should be a meme by now.

Would Warders feel their Aes Sedai's Period Cramps?
Taverenesque replied to The Tenth Pancake's topic in The Wheel of Time
I would imagine that the warders feel some of the discomfort, if in fact the Aes Sedai actually feel anything. IIRC it's mentioned later on how being a channeler blocks a pregnant woman from getting morning sickness or any other common symptoms of pregnancy, so there might be something off about their regular periods too. -

After agonizing for some time, I decided I should make an account here since none of my friends will get into the Cosmere . I was introduced to Sanderson's work through the Wheel of Time, and after a few false starts into the Cosmere, I have come to love it. See you guys around =D
