The only scene we see it used is Sazed vs Marsh where Sazed dodges an axe thrown by an Inquisitor, meaning the axe is probably moving pretty damnation fast. Ten of these guys trained would be virtually impossible to handle - they could work out your every move before you could cause any damage.

Well Brandon says it's the best writing he's ever done, so that might explain it. I feel the same way too, and in my first read I was skimming chapters of Shallan and Dalinar to get to Kaladin chapters. For me, later rereads have been about finding about the setting, which is a really good one.

I'm from Warwickshire in the UK, but I've only lived here for about a year. I used to live in Birmingham, which is around 30 miles away from where I live now, and it's definitely a lot better here. I live in the countryside, so hardly anyone passes through here except for the people living in a few houses nearby. The bad thing here is that to see any friends I have to travel for miles, and no one can ever find where I live

The one I've seen with ridiculous similarity is the Thirteen Forsworn in the Inheritance Cycle. I mean, there's thirteen of them and they're basically called the same thing
