  1. So far I`ve read 3 books, in the following order; The Way of Kings Elantris Emperor`s Soul Odd order to read them in but I picked of Way of Kings before starting my WoT re-read only to find after I finished it that it was a 1st in 10 book series that just started(was not happy I did that to myself, especially with WoT coming to an end) Reading Emperor`s Soul that early you wouldn`t know what she was talking aboot until you re-read it at a later date after knowing aboot the Cosmere. Would just assume its part of the magic system in that particular book. Also I didn`t find out I had paid $16 for a paperback less than 200 pages until I got home and looked at my receipt. I mean what the heck is that aboot I can buy a dvd for cheaper which takes longer to watch than that book was to read.
  2. A lot of people liked brent Weeks Night Angel Trilogy and I felt it was severely lacking. Has he become a better writer in his new series. I read the Night Angel Trilogy and he seems to write good stories but is not a very good storyteller if that makes sense to you. It`s one of the only series on my bookshelf that I haven`t re-read.
  3. Thanks all. Now if only the Chapters near me carried all the Mistborn books so I don`t have to wait for it to come in. I`m pretty big on re-reading books because I read so much it saves me some money to re-read the series I enjoy every couple of years. Couple weeks I`ll probably be a regular here.
  4. Hi, New to the Cosmere series and don`t want to skim through and pick up spoilers so started my own thread to ask my question. What books are all included in this and is there an order I should be reading them in? I hate reading books out of order, feel throughout the read as if I am missing something.
  5. Why is there things he can`t tell us? The series is done, shouldn`t we be allowed to know everything that he knows?
  6. I figure it will happen just like Aviendha`s visions. The Empress may she live forever is not bound by treaties.
  7. Finished book 51 hours after Purchase, don`t think I have ever finished a book this size so fast.
  8. I Finished Yesterday. I hate that I finished a week early too, Towers leaves SO many questions unanswered with so many cliffhangers and I wish I was able to just go right into AMoL afterwards.
  9. Do not read if under 18 or if you are mature:
  10. Ran out of books around my house to read, asked my friends for opinions and quite a few of them had been reading Wheel of Time. Asked for it for my Birthday and my sister got me the first 7 books in the series. Read through them pretty rapidly and started buying the next books. Luckily for me I started reading shortly before book 13 came out so I`ve only had to wait on AMoL.
  11. Just finished Knife of Dreams. I find during my re-read I am always reading just so I can get to certain parts in the book. They aren`t necessarily huge parts just scenes I really enjoyed, when I am reading I sometimes flip ahead to see how long it will be before coming to that scene and if I should go to sleep or try to get their. I read every word and can`t skip pages as I`m a little OCD so I just scan ahead and come back to read where I was. This had me read the first few books rather fast cause I just wanted to read the scene when Mat was in the tower and defeated Gawyn and Galad with the quarterstaff, I thought it was much earlier than when it was and kept reading to get there. Same thing happened in this book, I wanted to see the scene with Kadere in the camp because he was just SO wrong aboot his assumptions and shocked when he realized mat was just gonna let him take Tuon with him. Now I have to pace myself as I only have 2 books left and still an entire motnh to read them. Luckily I have these forums to occupy me in between books for a day or two.
  12. I find I enjoy Sanderson`s writing more. Jordans humour is always disguised in that you aren`t even sure it it is humour or not. Whereas Sanderson isn`t as subtle with the humour he uses which I find more enjoyable. If I actually laugh out loud while reading a book(and have people look at me like a weirdo) then it is a good part and that is something I did more often reading Sanderson`s books than Jordans.
  13. I was worried I might finish to soon because I was going through them so quick. Then I hit Crossroads of Twilight and it slowed me down enough that I am now on schedule. Only 200 pages left in CoT but that should allow me to finish on time without having to slow down much more unless I rush again.
  14. I was looking forward to that fight with Mat since I started my re-read, one of my favourite scenes to read aboot in all the books. Mat would still win because he would take the risks needed to win.
