  1. If God can be defined then God is defined as origin and end. It is the foundation of the entire concept. God is God because everything comes from him and will end with him. The assumption of freewill is that as humans we would be less without the negative to give meaning to the positive. I maintain free will could exist at a greater state with only positive options available to power free will. God himself represents Infinite positive. That means we could be positive only forever and never run out. If God choose. This places Sanderson in a position of guilt and innocence perspectively as I touched on previously. To hold Sanderson accountable for the bruality of his creations, instead of the creations themselves, u must first acknowledge brutatily as a creation of the creations, then acknowledge Sanderson himself is a creation of God. With out evidence of the existance of Gods God, due to the fact that's impossible as God by definition is origin and end. The concept to hold one accountable for one's actions and not hold the actions themselves accountable is grounded on the existance of freewill. The ability to choose which action. The freewill of the creations enabling brutality and the free will of Sandersons enabling his creations to enable bruality ultimately originate's with God as origin. thus I maintain Sanderson is definitely guilty. Sanderson is definitely innocent. Good and bad, guilt and innocence It is perspective. God is origin and end, which means God is an impossibility as the existance of the circle defies his existance. For a circle has no beginning and no end.
  2. No need to apologize, i sincerely appreciate and enjoyed your response. Im going to think more, before replying. Well done.
  3. Interesting concept. If were talking Christian God, then what's on trial here is God's choice to allow Sanderson freewill. In this case free will is being used as a weapon to brutalize. Is freewill actually a concept of good or evil? God gave Sanderson the ability to brutalize, God made that choice knowing the consequences. He then enabled brutality. Is God then guilty of evil? If not then you must ask the question is anything truly good or evil? Or is it only perspective really? If it is; does it even matter then, to do good or evil? Is there truly a difference? If everything is good and evil then nothing is. Is God Nothing, Anything or Everything? What is nothing, what is anything and what is everything? If anything includes everything and everything includes nothing, Is nothing anything? Is anything Everything? Everything by definition is nothing and anything... so what does that mean? It means Sanderson is definitely guilty. It means Sanderson is definitely not guilty. Does that mean anything, nothing? Or everything?
  4. As far as the Herald being held back... the Heralds remember their time being tortured just not how long it goes on for correct? You claim a human couldn't have endured it alone. The Heralds who know exactly what their torture included seemed to think he would be able to bear it. The Heralds weve seen also don't seem alarmed or suspicious about the 4500 years. You the poster are suspicious because of our own limits as humans that youve perceived in life. As a human 4500 years for another human tortured seems overkill. I would think the other Heralds aka enhanced humans would have a better understanding of thier own thresholds. They seem to accept 4500 years of torture as possible to endure so then must I without any other info of the heralds limitations

  6. I feel like no one in this post has actually read the Oathbringer book because it very clearly says Dalinar is Odiums champion, always was and that Odium was simply waiting for Dalinar to ask for the challenge of champions in urnest bc Odium cant take him by force and the second Dalinar admits the challenge of champions is what he wants in truth. Odium tries to claim him. Then while Dalinar confronts Odium. Odium says flat out he'd picked his champion already long ago, and then says he groomed Dalinar to be it. Furthermore Ranarin is ready to die instead of having to see the vision of his father in black armor with 9 shadows come to pass . He even names him blackthorn (in case anyone wants to argue Ranarin isn't Dalinars child) Then when the One of the Fused brings Odium the kings drop (i think its called, the perfect ruby), the fused brings it to him and ask if odium had been watching dalinar all along to which odium says yes long before you (the fused). I dont see anyway out of it....(if you do please point it out) . The champion has been named and has broken free of Odiums influence.... this thread should be dead. Also to address the infamous back book cover. One of them may redeem us. And one of them will destroy us Destroy can mean many things as perceived by different views. i can destroy a book by soaking it in a bucket of ink so it could never be read, effectively destroying it without completely wiping the book from existence... u can destroy by removing a things purpose or by forcibly changing a things status into something new. So I would argue Dalinar has already destroyed Roshar by the end of Oathbringer as both human society and parshendi society has fallen. Venlis chapters show us that her people are gone as well. replaced by the fused. DESTROY US not the world.... Dalinar then started destroying us during his years as "blackthorn" Team Kohlin united highprinces by right on conquest ( US destroying and being destroyed) which in turn allowed for the contest on the shattered plains ( more of US being destroyed) which in turn allowed for the everstorm to come into being which in turn allowed for the human citys to fall. Human civilization as we know it has been destroyed... All that remains unknown is who will redeem us and how. -Maybe Dalinar by uniting humans and parshendi, thus giving the world WE took back to the parshendi type of redemption -Maybe Szeth with nightblood, you know that sword that wants to kill evil but doesnt know what evil is, and is now in the hands of a man who is Oathbound to follow Dalinar bc he believes Dalinar isnt "the wrong type of man" (aka evil)......"like those hed been forced to follow". The champion has been named and has broken free of Odiums influence.... this thread should be dead.
