I actually wondered about this myself. He possess a set of shards . This would automatically make him the first Hornester shardbearer and king by default . Cord only has plate and she got hers a year after Rock hot his by killing Amaram . I also don’t think he has an Honorspren yet . We have just learned about peekspren. He may have attracted one , thus becoming a Stoneward . If Renarin and Rlain can be Truthwstchers and stil be considered bridge 4 . Why can’t rock be a Stoneward . Considering his name it seams more appropriate !!

Each flashback POV from the previous books gave us tons of insight into the cause of the War with the Listeners . So I began wondering who will be the POV for the final book . So far we have had Szeth , Jasnah , Eshonai and Navani respectively . I think Brandon has given us enough foreshadowing to predict who it will be . Szeth gave us the act that caused the war . Jasnah gave us clues that clandestine forces were acting against the Kholin family . Eshonai gave us the Listners reasons for assasinating Gavilar . Navani shows us that Gavilar wasn’t so innocent , he was almost Herald level ruthless . I don’t think any of us saw that coming . So thier is only one person IMO that makes sense for book 5 . Gavilar himself ! We need to know where he got that light . We need to know what him a Kalek were planning to do with that Antivoidlight . I think Kalek , Nale , and Gavilar were all working together . And I think we will see that Gavilar really did deserve to die . For some reason I think what Teravangion did may be what Gavilar was arrogantly planning on doing . Which is why Nale had nightblood in the first place . Anyways I can’t think of anyone whose perspective matters anymore . Ehloksr was a immature teenager , Adolin was a kid . I suppose Nale could offer a good insight but being a zherald I feel like it’s kind of cheating . With all the knowledge they have . So I’m. Thinking it has to be Gavilar . What do you guys think ?

Moash purpose is clear to me . It always has been . He is the Anti-Kaladin. He understands Kaladin stormblessed intimately . He is the only one who knows how to defeat Kaladin . You don’t fight Kaladin physically ! You attack him mentally thru his ideals . We have seen that physically Kaladin is a force of Wrath when provoked and the Fused really don’t want them problems . The Pursuer was an idiot . And arrogant . I think if El and Moash work together they can take out stormblessed by attacking those he loves

Wowza nice theory . I always thought who would Odium pick ? My answer is someone Dalinar could not kill . The obvious answer was Adolin . People love him , and Dalinar would let the world burn before he would kill him . I never thought of Gavilar who also fits the bill for this . I didn’t know we were getting a Gavilar POV in part 5 . It will probably be his flashback viewpoint of his death . I like this more than Adolin idea honestly ! Could you imagine Dalinar face ? And Navani ??? Oh this is too good of an idea . I would pay money for that fight . Real talk !

Oh I remember that , it was a lie , he was trying to say Kaladin had a honorblade, and therefore wasn’t radiant . Which meant Szeth was still truthless . The fact that it happened later is coincidence!

I literally just made a post about this . As I’m a audio book listener I thought I heard Rayalesk . my theory was that Aluminum was the body of Adonalsium . So perhaps Ralker or something similar is the vessel of Adonalsium . I thought it was saying Rayaledk , implying that it’s the body of Rayse . My theory is baseless , it was just a guess Now that I know that what they call aluminum on Sel . Maybe it’s created when Odium splinters a shard like on Sel , threnody , Roshar . It’s also on Scardrial . And while Odium has not been there . Ruin and Preservation have been splintered before . I think the name is an important key ! You are right about that . When we see anything close to Ralkalest we will finally know it’s Origans

A long time ago I finished Mistborn . Seeing as how Atium was the body of Ati . Lerasium was the body of Lerus . I started thinking Aluminum may be the body of Adonalsium . It kind of made sense since throughout the Cosmere it blocks Investiture . It Falls from the sky on Roshar , so it kind of follows my theory somewhat . Then the fuse call it Rayelaak ( audio book) so forgive my spelling . And that sounds a lot like Rayse . So could I be wrong and aluminum is the body of Rayse . That doesn’t make sense . I just don’t get why the fused would call it that . What do you guys think ?

I listen to audiobooks , so sometimes you miss things especially when somebody starts talking while your in a chapter . After Dalinar confronts the Herald Ishar . Szeth is overtaken with melancholy . He keeps saying how did he know . I went back and listened to Szeth chapter and Teravangion interlude . Neither of them talk about Szeths father . So did I miss something ? Or is this info that was shared off screen ? Or did they perhaps talk about his father in another book . I hope I just missed it and not that this was givin to us off screen .

So one cool thing about Renarin is that he shrouds the area he is in . Odium can’t see the future or any details surrounding the area that Renarin occupies . I want to discuss why this is happening . My best guess is the corrupted Spren he has . Thru out RoW Odium has been destroying Ja’anat Spren rather than let them bond aduone . Maybe he knows this and doesn’t want anymore blocked areas If I’m right the. I wonder will Rlain have similar abilities . Indeed will all the listeners who seem to bond only corrupted Spren ( venli is the exception) maybe this will stop him from locating the Listner camps . D But I’d like to hear any other ideas of what is giving Renarin this ability . I also considered he may have went to the night. Watcher and it just hasn’t been revealed to the readers yet. Anyways . Shallan is usually boring but on a reread of RoW i love what Brandon did with her this book. things make so much more sense now. this is my analysis of this complex character. Shallan is not the main persona like how we all thought. Shallan is a persona just like Veil, and Radiant. she appears helpless and weak . this is because she has suppressed a lot of memories. She also wants to be liked or loved by everyone. Radiant is her Physical brave aspect she uses to reinforce the idea that shallan is helpless. Veil is her roque persona and the persona that guarded the death of testament. Shallan feals all radiants would turn on her if this truth is revealed. And lastly we have Formless. Formless is the real shallan . she is ruthless, cold blooded at times and willing to do things the others wont. We first saw her unkowingly when she killed the spy lady Lyn and shallan first manifested her shardblade on screen! she screamed " i told you i have already learned that lesson. formless has all the info of shallans past. and often comes out under the guise of shallan. patterned detected her and asked shallan whats wrong are you veil. i have always believed the greatest threat is the one you dont see. So if you look at shallan as though she is the main persona, and veil and radiant are her splinters : she seems crazy ! Look at her as Formless is the main , and shallan is a mask she uses to appear vunerable? now tell me how she appears to you.

Still seems odd we’d get some random kid’s POV. It could have been someone we’d interacted with before - why introduce someone new? Not Really characters from back 5 books were children during the front 5 books . Brandon said he would start introducing some in books 4 and 5 . So I bet Adin is the POV wind runner in the back 5 books

His interlude was just to show off Kaladin plate in part 5 IMO . Coolest part of part 5 to be honest . I love that scene . Especially when Adin kicked the Fused wearing plate . It made his day I’m sure .

Since Odium got an upgrade in RoW I’m expecting some big things . I absolutely have no idea who it will be . But there are some interesting options 1. El : this Fused is so feared his name is not to be spoken . Even the Pursuer watched his mouth around him . I suspect he is of a type we have not seen yet . One that uses Division ! 2. Moash even though he is blinded . I expect Odium can grant him an ability to compensate for loss of eyesight . Like sonar kind of like Daredevil . 3. Nale seeing how he is a Herald and handle Szeth like an unruly stepchild this is almost the worst option for Dalinar . He would be outmatched in fighting skill for sure 4. Adolin : I predicted Adolin to be Odium long ago . Born under the sign of the nine . Pissed at Dalinar for killing his mom . But mostly because he is the one person Dalinar would not want to kill which sounds like Todium all day . I like Adolin a lot so I hope this is not the case . But I would be wrong not to consider him 5. Someone we haven’t seen yet . My least favorite guess . As this is totally not like Brandon. To not foreshadow this . Lastly I don’t like Dalinar being his own champion . I keep thinking about the old lawyer adage . The guy who represents himself has a fool for a client . Dalinar doesn’t have shards and baring him gaining an Honor blade he won’t have shards . Sooo he would be better off letting. Kaladin do it . Or maybe using his bond smith powers to connect himself to Taln and try and borrow his abilities perhaps . I really would like Taln restored to be Dalinar champion but hey Dalinar seems dead set on kicking ass himself . what do you guys think ? Who will be Odiums champion ?

Funny I listened on audio book and missed this whole part . I wonder if Adolin figures out how restore maya will he show her how to restore Tastament .or a crazier thought . Since she is the one that broke the bond to Testament , it may be easier for her to reforge that bond . And by doing so give Adolin insight on what he needs to do .

One of the things I have trouble with is Shallan breaking her Oaths and killing Testament ! It really doesn’t make any sense because Shallan is a light weaver . Out of all the orders Lightweavers have the least restrictions on what they owe thier Spren . If she was a wind runner and failed to protect someone she hated I could see it . But lightweavers have the first ideal and then they only have to tell deep truths about themselves . I’m not getting. What she could of down that was so bad that it killed Testament . I understand she was a child and she was distraught at the death of her mother . I understand she probably rejected Testament after that ! But would telling truths in a timely manner really kill a cryptic ? Don’t get me wrong I like the story arc , I just don’t get what or how she did that . What do you guys think ? Am I looking at this wring ??

I could of swore they talked about a fuse that used Division . Well that means we have two types of fused we haven’t seen yet . Maybe we will see them in book 5

So I was wondering could one of our members make a list of all the type of Fused and see if we can get all 9 documented ! Type Surge Heavenly ones Gravitational masked ones Illumination Pursuer Transportation Deep ones Cohesion Giant ones Transformation Skating ones Abrasion I’m drawing a blank on Division , tension, progression : so can someone fill in some of them for us . I think we have seen them all I just can’t remember
