  1. Also, if you take the word "thou" and "you" and combine and mix the letters, you can create the word "utuyhoo" which interestingly enough doesn't mean anything. Like most of these responses to the OP question.
  2. Yea so far the only one I really like is Rlain. Really wished to see more of him in Oathbringer but I feel like book 4 should have more scenes with him since I think the book will be big on the Parshendi history.
  3. I have considered the 10 flashback characters (and Venli) going back to Braize for a temporary new Oathpact for the 15 year break. I think the ultimate solution is something to replace the Oathpact but the temporary Oathpacty gives humanity (and allied Listeners) time to prepare for a desolation they know is coming with technology they didn't have before. My question has always been this: Which member of the new Oathpact would break after only 15 years? Taln because he is still recovering from being tortured for 4500 years and broke recently? Ash because she is still broken too? My guess would be Venli because she would be tortured by her own kind (sort of) and viewed as a traitor which would draw more attention to her in "Damnation." Just my crockpot theory
  4. @RShara wants Eshonai on screen destroyed by Nightblood so people will stop making theories lol. I agree that she is dead, gone, and will not come back.
  5. I loved Oathbringer. That being said, it is my least favorite SA book. It has incredible parts, great parts, and a few slow parts. I love Brandon's writing and the SA is still my favorite book series ever. I agree with most of what has been said for the good and bad of the book. I think I was disappointed due to the build up I did in my mind. I frequently do this when I am excited about something being released whether it is a video game, movie, music album, or book. I build up my expectations to standards that are impossible to meet then I feel slightly disappointed. I was expecting Oathbringer to melt my brain from sheer awesomeness like the first two books but it never quite got there even as great as it was.
  6. Yea, I could see that ending poorly lol
  7. One thing I don't really understand about what Cultivation said is the part: It seems to me that Dalinar was more of a weapon for Odium before the pruning. The Thrill seemed to affect him more and he did some terrible things like the Rift. After the pruning, Dalinar became a better man and was able to fight the Thrill more effectively. I guess Cultivation could have meant that when his memories returned, he might break and allow Odium to take responsibility for the pain but seems like that was going to happen anyway without her intervention so I do not see the danger. Seemed like her only option. I believe before Cultivation's intervention, Dalinar would have accepted Odium's offer to remove his pain so I think she removed a potential future weapon from Odium rathan than providing one.
  8. So I have posted on similar posts (like @MonsterMetroid post) before with a list of the scenes that made me emotional but I have left out one scene that was particularly sad to me. It is part of The Tower when Dalinar mentally says goodbye to Renarin (which thankfully wasn't his last). Gets me everytime "And so I die, Dalinar thought, crashing into the Parshendi ranks. There he found peace. An unexpected emotion on the field of battle, but all the more welcome for that. He did, however, discover one regret: He was leaving poor Renarin as Kholin highprince, in over his head and surrounded by enemies grown fat on the flesh of his father and brother. I never did deliver that Shardplate I promised him, Dalinar thought. He will have to make his way without it. Honor of our ancestors protect you, son. Stay strong—and learn wisdom more quickly than your father did. Farewell." Like I said, there are tons of scenes that get me and most are listed above but I hadn't seen someone mention this particular part.
  9. I'm going with the spren theory for now. I think they may not be "highstorm-spren" because I think that would be the Stormfather. These Stormstriders may be what the Stormfather was before Honor's Cognitive shadow bonded to him as said above but I wonder if they are spren of the destruction a highstorm brings. Highstorms are thought of in many different ways (storm water helps plants, storm winds destroy, etc) and I wonder if a certain aspect of the highstorms were given enough thought to create these Stormstrider "spren". Like if these spren are what was created from the idea that "being out in a highstorm means death." Just a random theory with no evidence
  10. Excellent. I have never seen those WoB before. Thanks for the info.
  11. So what was the explosion of light that Lift saw in the sky before Szeth descended and defeated the Thunderclast? I assumed this was Szeth swearing the Third Ideal because we saw a similar explosion of light when Kaladin said the Third Ideal. Was this just Szeth taking in a huge amount of stormlight to prepare for the fight?
  12. I made a similar post on this you may want to look through also
  13. Nale said that he had been watching him for some time. Probably wanted to recruit him all along but was preoccupied with the return of the Radiants as the previous posters stated.
